Villa del Sol is within 2 miles (3.2 km) to all of Grace Bay amenities, including trendy restaurants for every budget, shopping, excursion companies, dive centers, spas, the Provo Golf Club, casino and art galleries. Moreover, there is a large grocery store where you will find prepared meals, fresh meat, fruits & vegetables, dry goods, wine and beers.

Dont stay here

This property is not as advertized. It is being renovated. There is demolition and construction debris strewn about the property including old deck railing, chain link fencing and barb wire, rusted out wheelbarrows. The "pool" shown in the picture is an open hole in the ground. Some of the decking has been replaced but the remainder is rotted with boards sticking up and holes through the wood and mostly covered with old pool equipment and ladder. The grill is not functional. There are no deck chairs or loungers. There are electric wires with bare ends hanging from electric boxes and laying across the ground. The tabel on the little screened in deck is rusted to the point where you can cut yourself and require a tetanus shot. The clothesline has clothespins with the wood rotted and most are just the remaining springs. There are irrigation pipes laying around unburied. There was an empty plastic gallon jug under the front step. The wifi didnt work as the name and password had been changed from what was on the bottom of the router and the contact person would not provide the correct ones. It was diffucult, if not impossible to contact them as the only way to do it is through verbo message which could not be accessed without internet. Digicels mobile data was not available either. Only two sets of bathtowels and beachtowels provided for a weeks stay. The in room "safe" for your valuables was not bolted down and had no combination. All documented with pictures.

It was great

The Villa was beautiful, when you look up amenities to see what locations have to offer you base your decision on price and amenities. They did get a hold of me ahead of time and mention that the pool is not functional and they were hoping to have it done Before ours today and they did but the pool is filthy the bottom of the pool that dirt all over the bottom and some dirty scum ring around the waterline. I would assume if it was just repaired it would’ve been cleaned and maintained during our week, it was not. We went out to skim the top of the water and try to do it ourselves, but we noticed a loose board on the deck which my wife foot went through, and the board flipped up in the air , I sent photos of those items we had a kitchenette and out of the four burners only one of them worked. We have an owner an appliance repair company so I told them what the problem was and even sent him a link to what parts they needed. Due to the price of food on the island we decided to go grocery shopping so we can eat most of our meals in a little challenging with only one burner, she said she would send somebody over to take care of the pool, the board and the cooktop we didn’t really feel comfortable having people coming in while we were staying there. We would just assume that this things would be functional before arrival but they were not I waited to see if we would be offered some type of credit.they did mot These items should’ve been done before we checked in not during our stay

I booked this villa 5/22 to stay 2/23. The description said it had a pool. I only booked this because we wanted a pool. I asked a month before we arrived if the pool was working and she said yes. When we got there the pool was not working. She did offer a full refund but the island accommodations were full and we had no choice but to stay there. We could have found someplace else if she would have been up front and honest sooner. She only offered 1 towel a piece to shower with for our 10 day stay. No snorkel mouth piece so we had to rent snorkel gear. I would not recommend this property.

Good location, secure place and near the beach. Very clean, very good communication with manager.

A little old outside at pool space ..need love. But overall nice place to stay.

The Perfect Escape

When we booked our stay almost a year ago, we were looking forward to our first vacation together in 5+ years (as we've been caregivers to elderly parents). We didn't know at the time that it would turn out to be our honeymoon, too (we eloped in October). So much has happened this past year that left us exhausted and stressed. But enough about us! All of that to say that from the moment we arrived at Villa del Sol, we knew we could put our cares and worries aside and truly relax, enjoy, and be US. Our communication with the host was always positive and helpful. Check-in was simple. We had all the privacy we needed and the location of the guest house is a perfect combination of being "away from it all" and close to any amenities one might need (restaurants, grocery stores, shops, beaches, etc.). The house was clean and well-organized. Everything was simple to understand. We loved the screened-in porch that provided a lovely view of local foliage; and having a little pool to take a dip in after a day of beaching and exploring was fantastic - it was amazing to be able to look up from the pool into clear, abundantly starry tropical skies. This property is a haven and an oasis for anyone looking for a true relaxing and peaceful vacation. We highly recommend and look forward to returning again someday!

Pros: comfy and quiet; Cons: location and amenities

We had a great stay at this affordable VRBO in Leeward Settlement - a quieter residential area that is still very close to all the action. The interior was very comfortable, great bed, and everything you need for a nice stay. Very quiet and private. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with a few parts of our stay. The pool was out of order and we were not warned beforehand. The beach umbrella provided was too broken to use. Although the posting said a 4 minute walk to the beach, it’s not really walkable (especially if carrying beach stuff) - more like a 5 minute drive. Overall a nice, comfortable place to stay and very affordable.

Stay here with a car!

I enjoyed my stay at Villa del Sol! It was perfect and safe for my solo trip. Mika was very responsive and super helpful, for example, calling the car rental company when I couldn’t figure out starting the car. Her restaurant recommendations were perfect, the wifi was strong and the studio was very spacious! The pool wasn’t in swimming shape while I was there but I was so close by car to several beaches I didn’t mind. Having provided beach chairs and towels saved me money from renting! I wished there was a full length mirror in the studio but not a major need. Thank you for a great place to stay!

Nice Leeward home base!

This is a good choice for a couple wanting to stay in the Leeward area but out of the direct hustle and bustle, and expense of the Grace Bay strip. This cozy bungalow features a screened in porch and a small pool for cooling off when you’re not exploring the many beaches TCI has to offer. A car is a must for staying here, but it’s an economical choice for a home base while on island. The hosts were nice, but left us to ourselves to enjoy our relaxing vacation, and responded promptly to any questions or needs.

Good location for accessing Leeward

I was on Provo for a short business stay (not vacation). The guest house was easily accessible to the beach, local resorts and the ferry to North Caicos. The owners were friendly and provided information about the guest house prior to arrival. The guest house was comfortable and had most everything I needed. I rented a car to move about the island and there was sufficient space to park. The swimming pool was adequate for my needs. Graceway Gourmet Groceries was within 2 miles. Cable or Direct TV was not available but the wifi connection enabled me to watch NetFlix and DirecTV without buffering. If the need arrises in the future for another visit, I will be contacting the owners to see if their guest house is available.

Lovely guest house perfect for solo traveler or couple

I was very happy staying in this guest house that was completely private for me. It was a studio type setup with a full kitchen and bathroom as well as a closed in balcony area to enjoy the outdoors. The home was clean, in a great location and equipped with everything needed to enjoy your stay on the island including beach chairs and towels. The owner was very easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to any questions. I would stay here again and recommend this place to others

Solo birthday trip

I had an amazing 1st visit in TCI. The property was clean and exactly as pictured. Shande responded quickly via WhatsApp to any questions that I had. I only used the AC to cool thw place down after being out all day. I noticed there was water dripping from one side and let Shande know. She responded quickly and the unit was repaired promptly. Although I only went in once, the pool was a plus and was wonderful. Definitely suggest renting a car. The property is 20 minutes from the airport and less than 10 minutes from all the happenings on Grace bay strip. The beach chair and umbrella was a bonus since you cant use the hotel loungers and umbrellas on the beach. The beach wind on Pelican beach can be a bit much for the umbrella. Lunch at Omar's was great followed by a visit to Sapodilia Beach which was beautiful. They are a 20 minute drive from the property. Danny Buoys was my little haven a few nights. Nice music and friendly staff. Visitors were just as frieny as well. Bugaloos is also a nice destination for lunch or dinner with live band. Overall I had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay here again.

Peace and quite

It was all that was advertised! Affordable, great location to Sun Set Beach, (about a 7 min walk but 2 min drive) The pool was great for a nightly dip after a day at the beach. Rental car is a must! There were some ants and crawly things but its the Caribbean what do you expect? Over All communication with owner was great! Leeward is a quite part of the island but a short drive to all the activities of Grace Bay. Cant wait to go back!
