Nice & priced well for Seattle, great location

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our stay and the apartment was clean & well maintained. It was very convenient to the bus routes and included parking for our car. The only issue was the bathroom set up was very awkward to use and that was not shown in the pictures.

Owner's Response: We're glad that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, this bathroom toilet is awkward as you need to step up as shown in the photo and as mentioned in previous reviews.

Perfect space for our Seattle getaway!

Great Spot! This place has everything you need for a weekend getaway! It's very close to downtown Seattle and has many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance (Trader Joes/Starbucks/Safeway to name a few). We would definitely stay here again! :)

The location is great!

We booked the small basement studio so we could babysit our grandson when my daughter's daycare had their biannual week off to regroup. We learned about it from our son-in-law's parents who come out from North Carolina to visit a few times a year. They used to stay in a hotel, but not since they discovered this place. The owners are an absolute pleasure to work with. They get right back to you and keep you informed about details of your visit. They are very friendly and accommodating. Its a very walking friendly location with lots of places to dine and imbibe within walking distance. Chuck's Hop House with about 1000 beers and different food trucks for lunch and dinner each day is just a half block away as is a small coffee shop. Over the hill is the Skillet restaurant which is good.. There are a couple of grocery stores within a few blocks. We will definitely book with them again. This is a small basement studio apartment in an older house, so its not the Hilton, but clean and neat with full kitchen. .

Convenient and quiet location, def worth the price even with some concessions on amenities

  • 4 of 5

Overall we were happy with our stay. It was a great location, central to downtown, UW, and other hot spots, and the private parking was a big plus. We enjoyed having a kitchen so as to save money on food (I walked to Trader Joe's to stock up for the week). There were 2 towels provided for our 6 night stay, so we did take advantage of the laundry and therefore came home with lots of clean clothing too. The price was about half that of a hotel in the area. It had its quirks (don't sit on the edge of the bed or it might tip on you!) but also had its own charm (loved hearing all the birds each morning that the neighbor's beautiful garden attracted).

Owners were very attentive and helpful throughout the stay, no complaints at all there! Property was clean and in good shape upon arrival. Description was accurate - definitely only a 2 person unit.

However I would not recommend this unit if you have any mobility problems as the toilet (on a weird ledge) and shower (small!) were a little difficult for us, even without any limitations. The wifi was also quite slow and wouldn't allow us to do much other than facebook and email. Other than that, no major issues and an easy stay.

My husband, 2 year old daughter and I stayed in this studio at the beginning of July. Whereas other VRBOs I contacted refused to accommodate our 2 year old daughter, Jose and Cindy had absolutely no problem with us bringing our own playpen into the studio for her to sleep in. The space was clean and tidy and worked perfectly for us. They had great little personal touches that enhanced our stay (a collection of movies filmed in Seattle) and a basket full of touristy type things we might be interested in. We spent our days walking around Pike and Pine, driving along Lake Washington, sipping iced coffees from Katy's (across the street) while strolling throughout the neighbourhood and even ventured down to Seattle Centre to check out some sites. The studio was conveniently located for all of these things and was easily accessible off of the I5. In addition, Jose and Cindy were very responsive when it came to my queries and I would not hesitate to recommend this little studio to others. We would love to stay here again!

Great little studio for our visit!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was just perfect for our visit--lots to do all over the area and just needed a place to sleep and rest up between adventures.

The apartment is older, but maintained, and it had lots of cute little touches. The ceilings are lower than some, as mentioned in other reviews, but we had no problems at 5'1" and 5'9". :) Linens were clean and modern. It was great to have the kitchen space as well as a little love seat and tv to pop in a movie when we were exhausted from sightseeing!

The owners were very responsive and helpful in arranging our visit, and we enjoyed our stay!
