About the property

Cottage, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

Get to know a real Seattle neighborhood with coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, Green Lake and Woodland Park Zoo, all within walking distance, and a short drive or bus ride to downtown and Seattle Center. The Phinney Guest Cottage can accommodate 2 adults and a child (infant/toddler gear available upon request: PacknPlays in travel or regular sizes, high chair, etc.). Additional twin air mattress is available for an older child.

This stand-alone house is decorated with a charming blend of antiques and contemporary furniture, and thoughtfully appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stackable washer/dryer. Relax in the cozy living room and stay in touch with free Wi-Fi. Enjoy a glass of wine in the evening on the sunny enclosed deck.

Phinney Ridge is a truly walkable neighborhood: no need for a car since you can walk everywhere and take the bus downtown (and avoid parking hassles!). The bus stop is a few steps away, and schedules and details are all provided for you. Restaurants close-by include Mediterranean, Thai, American, Greek, vegetarian, Mexican and the best burgers and onion rings in Seattle at Red Mill. Because this is Seattle, there are six excellent coffee shops within just a few blocks, including our favorite half a block away. May through September, the farmers' market on Friday afternoons is a great place to find delicious local produce.

Seattle is a spectacular city, and we hope you enjoy your visit!

About The Owner

Linda lived in France and in Brooklyn before following her daughters to the West coast. She loves Seattle and all the many activities it has to offer, including hiking, theater and playing with her grandchildren. Linda speaks fluent French.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2007

Why The Owner chose Seattle

Linda purchased the guest cottage along with her house, and when it is not being rented out, it is often used for visiting family members.

Guestbook comments from the owner

(Review mailed to the owner by guests)

My husband and I spent 3 months January-March in the Phinney Guest Cottage and found it to suit our needs perfectly. The cottage's unique location gives it a neighborhood/small town feel with numerous city amenities available. Restaurants, grocery stores, churches, parks, Green Lake and zoo are all in walking distance from the cottage. Linda, the owner, is very hospitable and quickly responds to the needs of her guests. We have already recommended Phinney Cottage as a great place to stay while visiting the Seattle area.

Perfect Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect cottage for our stay in Seattle. The location was great - lots to do in the neighborhood. The cottage itself was perfect for me, my daughter and my mother. We had a great time. Would definitely stay again or recommend to others!

Great place, very comfortable, nicely decorated. well appointed and the location is fantastic

  • 5 of 5

Linda was a terrific host, she was easy to communicate with. Her place is really nice, private, very quiet neighborhood. We had a car and appreciated the free parking on the street, never having to search more than 1/2 block to get a spot.

The place was stocked well with dishes, cooking utensils, coffee and coffee maker, toaster - it was easy to have meals in when we wanted to. The bed was comfy and the little garden space right outside our door was very nice.

The location really worked well. We made several trips downtown and it was very easy and quick to get there. We would highly recommend this place for travelers visiting Seattle.

Perfect apartment on Phinney Ridge!

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this great little apartment for a couple or a single on Phinney Ridge! It has everything you need including a full kitchen and washer and dryer, and a private patio. The location is perfect for exploring the Phinney/Ballard area by foot, or hopping a bus for other Seattle spots. Linda is a thoughtful host, and she has made the apartment very comfortable and attractive. We are frequent visitors to Seattle so we will be back! Thank you Linda!
