Spacious and bright two bedroom two bath in the perfect location for relaxation!

With two huge bedrooms and two full bathrooms plus modern kitchen, deck and private laundry room this space has everything you need for a luxurious stay. There’s plenty of space for everyone in this modern beach apartment on the entire second floor of Gecko House.
Perfectly located on Manasota key between the Gulf of Mexico and Lemon Bay you are steps from private beach and bay access. Walk on the beach and find shells and shark teeth, or just relax in the warm, beautiful water. Watch the amazing sunrises from the dock or do some fishing. Or relax at the saltwater pool in the couples lounger. It’s all about enjoying the beautiful surroundings and having fun.
Each bedroom has a Thuma King size bed with a Nectar mattress and premiums linens. Fluffy towels of course. There is plenty of closet and drawer space for all your things.
It’s all about being comfortable.
If you like to cook, there is a large kitchen with an island and all the tools you might need to whip up a nice meal. Or just microwave some popcorn and relax on the deck.

Whether you have a beach day, a pool day, or go jet skiing or parasailing you will come back to this comfortable, relaxed space to rest up for the next day’s adventure!

Nice place to stay in Manasota Key

Close to several restaurants. Easy walk to the bay and to the beach. The condo had all things needed for the beach which was very nice!

Paradise

We loved our stay. It was a super short walk to the bay and the beach. The condo was so nice and homey-everything was perfectly thought out. The pool area was nice to have as another option. We can’t wait to visit again! Marti was a fantastic hostess!

Perfect spot

This is my second time at this property and it was as wonderful as the first time. Lots of amenities already at the rental so go there first before buying beach items. There is wildlife everywhere around this property. We saw Osprey, Eagles, Dolphins, Manatees and every kind of bird you can imagine. Didn’t matter that the weather wasn’t the best during our stay. We had a great time. Beds are super comfortable and kitchen is fully stocked. Enjoy! Thanks for everything Marti!

Sets the standard

The only thing inaccurate in the description is it understates how perfect this property and the hosts are. Extremely clean, unbelievably well equipped, very comfortable beds and convenient to the beach and restaurants/entertainment. The beach was as private as any along the Gulf Coast. Marti and Rod, thanks for setting the standard for a VRBO.

Perfect Beach/Bay Stay

Marti was amazing. The property was well maintained, clean and modern. Marti thought of everything in this unit. We were pleased with all the extra's that were provided in this great vacation rental. Easy access to both the beach and the bay. Marti was great with communication and always quick to respond to our needs/questions. I definitely recommend this property!

Perfect Oasis

This property comes well stocked for anything and everything you can imagine. The kitchen is loaded and the free snacks and water were greatly appreciated. Beds are super comfy. There is also everything you need for the beach already there. The location is far enough away from all the traffic coming onto the key. The home is surrounded by nature despite Milton. A pair of Osprey’s are nesting 40 feet out the front door. It was wonderful. Manasota Key has significant damage in many places but no damage at this unit except some fallen trees. The beach access is perfect and the beach was better than the last time I was there in May. The host lives onsite and I loved that. They are wonderful people. I’ve already booked a return trip. Thank you Marti and Rod for everything!

Amazing Place

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Marti and Rod's VRBO - Gecko House. The location was perfect, with access to both the key and bay, and included the use of kayaks and bikes. The apartment we had was super clean, spacious, and well set up with everything we needed. We loved having two bedrooms and baths for the nights we had guests. Beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., were all supplied and the pool and pool area were just lovely. Beach access to a spectacular beach was a short walk right across the street, and you couldn't have more wonderful and generous hosts. Highly recommend! We are planning on returning and are recommending Gecko House to family and friends. Such a wonderful experience in a truly lovely location. Also, parking is easy and right at your door, and other Gecko House guests were great to connect with as well.

Fantastic place to stay

I am a mountain person, so beaches are not my usual thing. But this vacation was a great time, and the Gecko (we stayed in the 2 BR upstairs unit) is one of the main reasons. First of all, I think that the place is even better than the listing. The unit is spacious, clean, has all the amenities, allows for cooking, has a deck, and a nice swimming pool. Outside, they allow the use of some bikes, two kayaks, wagon/umbrella/chairs for the beach. It is a short walk to a dock on the bay (we fished, kayaked, and saw a couple of dolphins), and a 4-5 minute walk to the beach on the Gulf (with some shade). Honestly, the location is amazing, close to many things, but just enough away from the public beaches. If I ever come back to Manasota Key, I will be booking this place again. Great job, Marti.

Spectacular home in an ideal location!!

We had an amazing stay at Gecko House! The second floor accommodations are everything you could ask for in a vacation home! Superb location and spotlessly clean, comfortable, and modern interior. The pictures do not do it justice! My family of four was able to spread out, relax, cook, and enjoy time together without feeling cramped. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need in addition to the basics - pots/pans/juicer/various coffee makers/etc. The open floor plan was very much appreciated. We loved that the “chef” each night was able to be a part of the action in the living room. The two extra large bedrooms (with insanely comfy king beds) are nicely situated on opposite sides of the living room. Marti and Rod are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. It is clear that they care about their guests and their home and want everyone to have a relaxing and worry-free experience! They promptly respond to any questions. They were right there to help us with the only tiny issue (grill not lighting) we encountered the entire week. Not only did they bring us a different grill to use (within 5 minutes!) they ended up purchasing another grill the next day. I sense that they frequently purchase new items for Gecko House. It is quite evident as everything works well and is beautifully updated. Without question the best place we have ever stayed in FL! We highly recommend and we look forward to returning! Thank you for sharing your home with us, Marti and Rod.

Despite the weather.......

We couldn't change the weather, but our stay at the Gecko House was great. First , Marti is amazing in her quick replies to questions and troubles. As it was colder than anticipated, Marti was able to remotely change the thermostat so we were able to have some heat. There are spices and other usable items that have been left by other travelers. It enabled me to cook some of the local fish. We recommend the Triple Tail! It is a quick walk to the beach, so hauling your shelling treasures is easy(there are carts for beach chairs and shells!) The beds are comfy and sheets are soft. Bathrooms are quite functional and clean. I could go on but, in a nut shell, the 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor was great We hope to return and maybe stay in a smaller unit. Thank you Marti and Crew for a wonderful stay!

We would have loved to stay longer. It is a quiet/peaceful area with the Bay and Beach steps away. It is very spacious and clean. Everything we needed and more was available to us. There are more appliances to use than I have at home. Definitely want to return.

This is a great house in a super location.

We enjoyed an incredible and comfortable stay at this location. Marti made all necessary preparations and regularly checked on us during our stay. The property includes great beds, comfortable living room furniture and three easy-to-use smart TVs. The owners also provide all you need to enjoy your time at the beach or in their swimming pool. You can use carts to carry food, drinks, boogie boards, chairs, etc. to make the three-minute walk to a quiet, private beach. All of those items (minus food and drink) are provided. I highly recommend taking advantage of the chance to use this property. We fit five people comfortably during the final two nights of our week-long stay.

Extra amenities everywhere

Very clean, lots of space, unexpected perks everywhere. Our host welcomed us as if we were family. Access to beach was so convenient. All equipment for a day at the beach was provided by host. Pool time so nice and well equipped. Can't say enough how wonderful everything was.

Best Rental on Manasota Key

This rental was perfect in every way. Marti the owner has thought of everything. She has made sure that anyone who stays here has everything they need to have a great time and not have to pack the house to go on vacation. Plenty of supplies (toilet paper, trash bags, cleaning supplies and even shampoo and first aid. The place is super cute, very clean and chargers for your technology everywhere. The location to the beach is perfect as well. The pool is a great place to cool off and even has floats and toys for the kids. She lives on property but respects your time and is only there if you need her. We loved staying here and will definitely be back. We enjoyed the beach cart in getting the items to the beach we needed to relax. The weather was perfect, the beach here is quiet and we enjoyed watching the turtle nest hatch and make it to the sea. If you are looking for a peaceful place t stay and not have to worry about anything then this is where you want to be!!!!!

Awesome Property, Ocean to Bay, Amenity Rich

My sister and I rented the 2 BR/BA and was perfect we each had our private king bed and full bath. The furniture was comfy for our evening’s watching movies on large TV, the pool was relaxing and the landscaping was tropical and quite. The beaches and the bay were steps away and so tranquil. I did not want to leave this paradise.The Magnolia restaurant was perfect the Sandbar was fun with live music. Yoga on the beach, so much to do on Manasota Key. Can’t wait to go back. Marti is the best host 🤩

Perfect location with amazing host

Property is spilt unto 4 rentals, 3 on the bottom and this one on the top. Marti was a wonderful host and it was so nice getting to know her. There is anything and everything you may need in the house and shared beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes. The property has its own small dock on the bay... about a 2 minute walk behind the house and also has its own deeded beach access which is right across the road, only 4 minute walk. LOVED the private beach access! We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great sta Marti!
