The place and the history were great. The house is very old and has great history related charm. We enjoyed the place and the folks that were taking care of the place.
The place was exactly as described. The rooms were spacious, clean, and there were more than enough to comfortably accommodate our group. Fresh towels, bathroom amenities, and a well-stocked kitchen with all the necessary supplies were provided. There was an issue with the upstairs A/C when we arrived, but Walter responded quickly and had it fixed promptly. He was a very accommodating and responsive host throughout our stay. The kids especially enjoyed the pool, and everyone had a great time. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property to others.
It was magical! The house is beautiful. We loved the way its furnished and the ambience of the entire place. We had our engagement party and it was better than we could’ve imagined. I highly recommend this property.
Picturesque location where our two families and close friends could mingle, enjoy the pool, BBQ, evening activities and most of all a beautiful wedding ceremony.
Property was beautiful! Charming old ranch house with many quirky historical features. Lots of space to spread out. Outdoor space is the best- Fabulous pool and outdoor BBQ area. Beds are very comfy.
The owners spared no expense preserving and maintaining the beautiful 1906 Historic Home at Cardinal Pointe Station. This is a large home, exactly as pictured. Perfect for family getaways and events. Outside amenities - Pool and Entertainment Area:Deep private lagoon pool, stairs to enter/exit. Guests that cannot swim, should bring equipment. There is a peaceful trickling brook water feature. Ample patio seating for gathering and lounging. Outdoor gas and charcoal grills, wood burning fireplace and fire pit, lounge seating, picnic tables for entertaining. We enjoyed listening to the water and birdwatching in the evenings -- so many different species coming by to check us out. The outdoor lighting is beautiful at night. We loved meeting all the animal homeowners (the chickens, Daisy, and the sweet kittens made special appearances to welcome us to their home).Indoors: Plenty of dining areas and bathrooms. 5 beautiful custom king/queen bedrooms, with luxury bed linens (we slept so well during our stay!). Soft towels, nice hand soaps, and amazing artifacts. Guests with mobility needs will love the beautiful bedrooms downstairs. Every single room and nook has a story to tell. We loved spending time with the artwork, books, and collections of memories throughout the home. This is a happy home that feels very loved by its owners. We had a much-needed peaceful, recharging staycation, that far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Walter!

Thank you so much, Tammy, for such a thoughtful and generous review. It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your family at Cardinal Pointe Station.
You captured so many of the things we love about the ranch, from the history of the old house and the peaceful evenings around the pool to the birds, animals, and all the little stories tucked throughout the property. We especially loved hearing that your time here gave your family the peaceful and recharging staycation you were hoping for.
Thank you as well for taking such wonderful care of the property during your stay. We really enjoyed having you here and would be delighted to welcome you and your family back anytime.
Blessings,
Walt & Monica
Walter’s home is beautiful and spacious. The perfect place for our little celebration. The pool was awesome and everyone loved it! I will definitely be coming back in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great house. We loved the history of the property. The owner had great communication. The pool was one of the favorites among the group. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely stay at this property again. Thank you!!!!
Our 4 children and their families joined us for a few days. There was room for all of us to stay comfortably. The hosts even had toys and games for all ages, even the babies! We enjoyed the nice pool and outdoor areas. Our stay include a little steel back in time, with the lovely older part of the house. The kitchen/great room area with comfortable and well-appointed and comfortable.
Everything was perfect for my son's wedding. Everyone had a wonderful time. Walter is very easy to accommodate and work with. Beautiful trees to have a wedding ceremony.
Great people operating this VRBO. No issues with accommodations except the kitchen/frig is a pretty awkward arrangement, especially for large groups. Updated, classic turn of the century (1900) structure without ruining the "old" effect that we wanted the grandkids to sense. Enjoyed the privacy with any help needed (and there was not any) within earshot. P.S. GG daughter really enjoyed the chickens!
Overall we were overjoyed with our experience on this property as well as our interactions with Walter! The experience was above our expectations and really brought mine and my partners families together during our wedding time. We have already talked about renting again at some point, that’s how much we loved it! Such a gorgeous property. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Our group of women enjoyed our stay overall. The house has a lot of character and charm, and we enjoyed its older style and unique personality. The pool was a highlight of the weekend, and the owner was very responsive to our questions. We especially appreciated being allowed a late checkout, which made our departure much less stressful. That said, the property is showing its age and could benefit from some maintenance. There were several areas that felt neglected, and while the owner was quick to respond to concerns, some issues weren't resolved during our stay. For example, there was a significant wasp problem on the front porch that we were told couldn't be addressed while we were there. The kitchen was also a disappointment. We've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and we've come to expect a few basic pantry items like salt, pepper, and cooking spray. None of those were available, so meal preparation was more difficult than expected. The Wi-Fi was also essentially unusable. Finally, the online photos present the property in its very best light. Whether they're older photos or simply taken very strategically, they don't fully reflect the current condition of the of the home.Overall, we had a meaningful weekend together but future guests should know that while the property has charm and a great pool, it also has maintenance needs and doesn't quite match the expectations set by the listing.

Loved it over all. Would say just a lot of wasp by the pool and so many flies in the outside gazebo. But other then that we had an amazing time! Thank y’all for having us.
