About the host

Hosted by Elaine DiGirolamo

Host profile image
We moved onto this property in 2008 and owned and operated a full scale Alpaca farm along with dogs, cats and chickens and a Full scale fiber processing mill and Boutique right here on the property. In 2010 We had the Cottage/in-law suite added onto the main house. Although we no longer have a working farm and mill we still have chickens, cats dogs and the boutique. We now host a wide verity of natural wildlife from deer, turkey, chipmunks, opossums, fox, wolf, coyote and occasionally we spot bear.

Why they chose this property

Life can be hectic and sometimes you just need space! We lived in the outskirts of Philadelphia for all our lives and just wanted to get out of the hustle of the daily grind. We both love being in the woods and figured Why not. Our little cottage is quite and remote. Our entrance driveway is off the beaten path into the woods and during your stay you can just relax and enjoy nature. The Owners are on premises should you need anything but otherwise you are left alone.

What makes this property unique

When we first walked this property we fell in love with the area and the fact that we could place the house off the road and be remote. Just a trip to our mail box is a workout. From our house out the driveway and up the road on the left to the stop sign and back is a 3.5 mile walk which is peaceful and the view of the mountain on the return is beautiful.
