Beautiful home with plenty of room for several families. Our host was so helpful and attentive. The house was stocked with everything you need and more. We had a great Thanksgiving there and will always remember that time fondly.
We had a great stay at Trails End! My family came on a last minute trip to escape the Texas heat. The house had wonderful views and very comfortable beds. We were close enough to Angel Fire to make hiking, golf and paddle boarding convenient.
Perfect for our family vacation! We loved sitting on the large front porch enjoying the amazing views, the large porch in back was perfect for having an evening fire and making s’mores with the kids. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable and well stocked. Can’t wait to go back!

I really enjoyed having David and his family stay. I’m so glad that they got to experience the magic, of the Trails End a ranch, at this special tome of year. I’d love for them to come back.

We recently traveled to Angel Fire for a family ski trip. The property was able accommodate our entire family which included 4 grown children and their spouses and children for a total of 18 total. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The view was spectacular. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
we loved the property, especially the meadows that surrounded it and the million dollar view of MT. Wheeler from the deck! We had plenty of space to spread out and get a little me time. We lacked for nothing except for more time to stay.

Cecilia so glad you enjoyed your stay at The Trails End Ranch
We had a great time! The location is majestic and the cabin is beautiful! The only complaint is that there needs to be more lighting in the cabin. We stayed up late to play games, and had a hard time seeing the games sometimes. But the cabin was great for all ages!

Anna You are right- the great room was built for whatever reason with no overhead lighting alas we must rely on lamp lighting. I had left an overhead workspace floor lamp in that room but I’m not sure if it was there when you were there. Brighter brighter lighting will definitely be on our to do list!
The home was beautiful with plenty of space. Very private. The electrical was a little strange like the original home was added on to and they only had so much power to work with but it really wasn’t a big deal to us. Very comfortable and we had everything we needed.
Beautiful views, peace and quiet, and charming cabin. Owner is very helpful and responsive as well. Had fun playing horseshoes with the fam and even got our pictures taken as the wildflowers and backdrop were gorgeous. Would have preferred to rent guest cabin as well for the privacy but didn’t realize. Still lovely, thanks for sharing your peace of paradise! God is good!

I enjoyed having Alicia and her family. She was very pleasant. I wish she had known to rent both the cabin and the house, because when u do it’s like your very own private retreat.
Hope you come back soon.

We have been home from our family vacation for a few days and the grandkids and the kids can't stop talking about it. The relaxing view, fun things to do within a half hour, sitting on the front porch, hiking, a kitchen with everything you need, the infinity table...I could go on and on! Kerri is amazing and wanted to make sure our family had everything we needed. She will answer all your questions and wants to make sure you and your family have a good time. A home we would visit again!
This was our fourth summer trip to Angel Fire to escape the August Texas heat but our first stay at Trails
End Ranch.
This is the place you want to be. The house is an experience in itself! Once you arrive you will not want to leave. The views from the expansive back seating area AND the majestic front porch are some of the best you will see in all of Angel Fire. We saw a herd of elk early in the morning grazing in the meadow between the house and the picture perfect view of Wheeler Peak. There’s no better place in Angel Fire than the back deck at Trails End to wind the day down with a nice cocktail.
We searched all the Angel Fire home rental options for four key criteria: a comfortable home for 3 adult couples (no couple had to sleep in bunk beds in a kids’ room!), a great kitchen for cooking (and a huge outdoor charcoal grill and smoker), one-story (we had a toddler along), and ample outdoor living area
(to enjoy every moment of the lovely mountain weather). Trails End was one of the very few that fit those criteria.
The home decor is straight out of Architectural Digest. Each room is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and linens. Lots of windows (with screens so you can enjoy the fresh air) and perfect options for adjusting the indoor lighting for the evening.
Perhaps the most pleasant added perk is the wonderful owner, Karen. She was so responsive and helpful from the moment I first contacted her to discuss booking. We had an opportunity to meet her when we arrived. She has lots of good tips for visiting the area. We love our summer visits to Angel Fire and look forward to our next escape to Trails End Ranch.

I truly enjoyed meeting these guest and hope to see them back soon. They captured the beauty and energy of what Trails End has to offer. They even started laundry and vacuumed!
Thanks,
Karen
We had a family gathering here and not only is the property large enough but the views are gorgeous and the common areas are great for both gathering all together and for having enough space to spread out. The rooms are large and have plenty of beds. The kitchen is open and inviting. The front deck was great for watching out children go sledding. The owner is super friendly and responded so quickly to any question we had. We loved our stay and will hopefully be back very soon.
My family and myself stayed at Trail's End Ranch for a much needed vacation and reunion. We were all extremely satisfied with the house and location. There was plenty of room for all of us and we found the house to be better than described. We cooked and laughed and had a great time. Did some sight seeing and relaxing. Kerri, our host, was wonderful and available. Will definitely try to return to this magnificent property.
Exceeded expectations with great view of the valley and mountains. Does require dirt road access but does not at all require 4x4 except in snow or maybe mud. Everything worked. Very private.
The home was wonderful. We had 10 people in our group, and we were all comfortable. The beds are fantastic, and the kitchen is well-appointed. I definitely recommend the property for anyone looking to stay in the Angel Fire area!

Now more than ever, our memories are so precious to us and those made with loved ones can sustain us for a lifetime! I am a small town girl with a love of all cultures, children and animals, travel, seeing new things, learning about the history and peoples of a region and sharing it with others, and making memories to cherish and to laugh at in the years to come! Memories and family stories that LEGENDS are made of!
Legendary Getaways Un Limited is all about making memories with family, friends, and if you are lucky, BOTH! We specialize in larger properties great for groups or families: I prefer a property where you don't have to keep the grandchildren quiet or worry about disturbing the neighbors. I grew up with a large extended and blended family and my Aunt Sadie had a place we could go for family gatherings and milestones, where my dad was born and my grandmother had the first phone installed. Those feelings of comfort, familiarity, and a nostalgic longing for days past made us appreciate our memories and wish everyone could experience something like that so we started Legendary Getaways and Legendary Vacations. We treat everyone like family and want our guests to feel like this is also their place to bring friends and family every year and encourage this by favoring returning guests with discounts. We want to make your trip special so please share the reason for your visits and who is coming or how we can help you make your memories to last a lifetime!
Why they chose this property
We have been coming to Angel Fire for the beauty and scenery combined with year-round activities forever but it remains small and private with the convenience of larger cities nearby and without the prices of our neighboring Colorado resorts. Drivable from all surrounding states so you can bypass the airports if you desire, making it so much more affordable for the couple with 6 kids!
This family homestead is less than a mile from where scenes were filmed meant to depict the beauty of Montana in the world famous movie, Lonesome Dove. It seems remote without being so (has high speed fiberoptic!) and is fairly easy to drive to. The beauty of this property is truly magnificent and does remind me of Montana. When I am looking out of the windows of the great room with the views of Wheeler Peak in the background, I am reminded of scenes from the John Wayne movie Grit and I wouldn't be too surprised to see John Wayne or Glen Campbell come riding up to the fence! As a matter of fact, our location is perfect for privacy, we host many VIP's and are happy to sign a NDA for your peace of mind.
What makes this property unique
Rustic Mountain Log Cabin meets Spanish Hacienda, reflecting our local heritage. The moment you turn in the gate you know this is a special place! The sound of the wind whispering in the trees is probably what creates the great healing energy many people have mentioned. The Vintage ranch truck is great for photos!! This ranch has been home to special events for over 100 people, weddings, Holiday parties and social functions for the people of the area. There are spectacular views from every room at the back of the home, even the bathrooms. Sunrise is not to be missed, keep the camera ready as we encourage guests to send their photos of the beauty, wildlife, or of your group enjoying the property or the area and we will share on our websites and social media - starring YOU! The home and cabin are comfortable as well as beautiful with everything we usually need for our own family gatherings, including the Julio's chips from Texas and local New Mexico Pinion coffee if we can get them for you. The Saltillo tile is heated with radiant heating we also provide firewood for the old rock fireplace or the wood stoves and a few skewers for roasting marshmallows. Premium luxury mattresses and bedding make rest like sleeping on a cloud. A steam shower and hot tub with infrared heater, touchscreen game table for 6, stargazer or wildlife telescope are added for your enjoyment. The covered front porch is long and is a great place to sit and watch the elk down below the barn jumping over the rail fence, I check it especially at sunrise and sunset for animal activity.
