Nestled along Florida’s Nature Coast, Island Place Condominiums offer a serene island escape surrounded by the natural beauty of Cedar Key. Located directly on the Gulf within a true nature preserve, the property is framed by swaying palms, warm Gulf breezes, and tranquil coastal scenery—an ideal setting to relax, reconnect, and unwind.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a fun coastal vacation, Island Place provides an exceptional blend of comfort, charm, and location. The complex is thoughtfully designed to reflect the historic character of Cedar Key while offering modern conveniences. Guests are perfectly situated next to the city marina and just steps from local restaurants, shops, art galleries, and the grocery store—no car required.

Pet Friendly:
Pets are welcome with a $50 fee per pet, per visit (maximum one pet). Pets must be approved, are not permitted on beds or furniture, may not be left unattended if barking, and must be cleaned up after outdoors. Unauthorized pets will result in a $300 charge.

Additional Information:
• Grills are park-style and located at the end of the complex. Please bring your own utensils, charcoal, grill brush, and lighter fluid.
• No boat parking is available onsite. Public boat parking is located one block east or two blocks north, behind the museum.

Island Place is a peaceful Gulf-front retreat where nature, history, and walkable island living come together for an unforgettable Cedar Key experience.

Annual friends vacation

Laid back comfort

I am not a "birder" but I loved seeing all the birds and hearing two owls calling whenever I was outside. The property is located in the perfect spot for a quick walk to the two main street areas.

3 day vacation was so fun!

So relaxing. Love this area and this unit! So clean and quiet. 10/10 recommend! The property owners reply in a timely manner and are so polite. You need to stay here!

Great place

Stayed here for a quiet anniversary weekend and it was just delightful. The condo was perfectly located in the center of everything. We like to walk so opted not to rent bikes or a golf cart and really it wasn’t needed. The unit was clean, quiet and the view from the balcony was amazing. A great place to dive into Old Florida. The unit was stocked with the basics to cook, my only complaint was the knives were so dull I couldn’t use them. But the restaurants are really incredible and exceeded our expectations. Definitely would stay again!

Excellent location! Julie was very kind and professional. She welcome us and showed sincere care and concern for our stay. The property overall is in excellent condition and the common areas are well kept. I even got some tips from the gardener for my house. This location is close to the main restaurants and I was able to walk my Havanese Dog many times without any worries. Everyone in this town is so friendly. I highly recommend this unit!

Perfect Location

I recently stayed at this vacation rental and had an excellent experience. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions. Management was responsive and addressed questions promptly. The rental was well-stocked with all the necessities I needed, making my stay comfortable. The unit was clean, which is always a top priority for me. Although the pool was closed for maintenance, management offered a late checkout so we could use the pool on our last day. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. Initially, the unit we were supposed to rent had an AC problem, but the management quickly relocated us. This is our second stay at this location, and both times the management made the process easy. While there were no standout features or amenities, the consistent quality and excellent service make this a reliable choice. I recommend visiting the Low Key Hideaway and using their free taxi service.

A quiet getaway in a quaint village

Our visit to Cedar Key and the Island place was lovely. The condo was well equipped and slept 4 comfortably. The beach is underwhelming and did not go in the water. The playground was a great place for kids to play and has good facilities with bathroom and outdoor showers. The store prices are high and would suggest you do your grocery shopping before you get to Cedar Key. The pool at Island Place was a great though the water was so warm it was hard to get relief from the heat. The people were very friendly and everyone seemed to be there to relax and get away from the hectic world. Renting a golf cart was a great way to get around. Thanks for the hospitality.

Our stay was wonderful. The community is very pleasant And helpful. The condo was very very nice. We only noticed one thing at the condo site and that is looking off of our porch there was an abundance of cigarette butts and debris that was less than attractive. The greenery needs pruned and picked up. It was a pleasant visit.

Old Florida Atmosphere In the 21st Century

Cedar Key is a unique place! We hope it never loses its ambiance and charm. Island Place was the perfect condo, with a private porch for watching the Gulf waters just feet away, Egrets and other water birds, and small fishing or touring boats leaving and returning. It is easy walking to the historic center of town, with good restaurants and galleries while also being a short stroll away from Dock Street with all its waterfront restaurants and shops, as well as docks for catching a boat tour of the surrounding smaller keys.
