This lovely, wood-sided Yachats vacation rental home nestled on the edge of Yachats State Park has three bedrooms and room for up to eight. Two doggies (who'll love the big yard) can experience the tranquility that's a natural part of Yachats (though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply), and you'll enjoy proximity not only to numerous state parks, but shopping and dining in the charming village of Yachats, just a two-minute walk from this incredible duplex.
Look out from the rear deck across the wide, expansive yard - thick with trees and vegetation - to where the water starts (a mere hundred feet away) and you just might think you're in a dream. You're not! The entire home comes packed with amenities including a washer/dryer to keep packing light, and WiFi, DVD players, and cable for entertainment.
The one-bedroom side of this Yachats vacation rental duplex is on a single level for up to four guests. Though the space is compact, the view is grand, with the ocean visible through every window! On those chilly nights, hunker down with a cable show or a DVD, warmed by the glow of the quaint wood stove. The little kitchenette on this side is perfect for a not too ambitious meal. Its hot plate, coffee grinder and maker, electric skillet, new convection oven, and a dorm-sized refrigerator will be just enough to appease your appetite. There's a bedroom with a queen bed on this side, and a colorfully decorated bathroom.
The other side of the duplex, with two bedrooms and two levels, has a living area that's spacious and cozy. Under the graceful curve of the ornamental ceiling is a warm, classic feel. Warm up by the wood pellet stove while you read in a plush leather chair. Watch a cable show or a DVD (make sure you pack some of your favorites), or listen to a CD. There's an additional sofa in this room for extra comfort.
The two-bedroom side of this duplex has a fully-equipped kitchen, great for cooking as a whole group. You can grind your favorite beans in the coffee grinder, and make a toast at dinner with a corkscrew, wine glasses, and your favorite chianti. Just load the dishwasher and move on to more entertaining things. For those times when the sun shines, you can move the feast outside, fire up the gas grill, and enjoy a barbecue in the fresh coastal air.
Upstairs are two bedrooms. One is the master, a bright, spacious area with a queen size bed, two picture windows (one south, one west) and four skylights. There's an en suite water closet, too. In the other bedroom, you'll find a comfy full bed mounted on a brass frame.
If your thing is fishing, this is the place for you! Hop onto a charter and try your luck in the deep waters of the Pacific, or cast your line in the nearby Yachats River, where trout and fresh water salmon are just waiting for your line. Sign on to a whale watching charter and take your chances at seeing one of the magnificent behemoths breach and play. Or, bring the camera over to Seal Rock, just 18 minutes away, where you can catch the seals cavorting and the rare sea birds going about their daily business on the rocks. There are all sorts of seasonal and routine events in Yachats like walking tours, big band concerts on the first Thursday of each month, yoga, dance, and Zumba classes. Each month has something different, from Native American art fairs, to book sales, to concerts by the Oregon Coast Chamber Orchestra.

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Just a quick note to let you know that my grandkids and I had a fabulous time over the 4th in Yachats. Our stay at your vacation rental was very pleasant. We had great weather and that was a blessing. We hope to engage the entire house next year.
My son from Sacramento is still gushing about Yachats. He said just this morning it was the kind of vacation one remembers for a lifetime.
This is a really cute house within walking distance to the ocean. My family rented out both sides of the house and found it extremely comfortable for four adults and four children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be looking to stay here again!
The duplex is located right next to the State park. There is lots of exploring to do among the rocks. During low tide you can walk across the creek to the small sandy beach. You can also reach this beach with a short drive. I liked that I didn't have to buy laundry soap. Washer and dryer was needed with kids. the 1 bdrm side is dark because of all the wood. The option to check out late was nice although we didn't use it.
The good things about this property are the location, the sense of space in the yard, the very hot water in the kitchen and passable beds. The bad things are a poor tv, ants in the kitchen, a meat keeper drawer in the fridge that freezes the steaks on medium-high setting, some windows missing screens or with torn screen, and hardly any water to the main bathroom sink (no hot at all, for us).
We stayed here during the 4th of July and the fireworks were let off in the park next door. AMAZING! I've definitely never seen fireworks that close before, it was great! This home is right in the middle of town and in easy walking distance to everything!
