About Marta Cugusi
For us it wasn’t necessarily the ultra-clean air or picturesque landscape. It wasn’t even the insanely high concentration of art galleries and fine dining establishments. We chose to relocate to Santa Fe for something more intangible. That sensation you get when the sun is sinking behind the Jemez Mountains and the sky turns Orange, Purple and Pink all at the same time and you look out and see the most amazing light and colors. This is when the world changes and you see things differently. You realize that life is precious and there is so much beauty out there. I don’t know if it is Santa Fe that brings this awakening or if it is in all of us but it happened here and so we decided to make this home for awhile and see what other magic we might find. These are some of our favorite things about the house: - the unbeatable LOCATION in the heart of the eastside, historic district of Santa Fe. Casa “Encanto” is located on our favorite street in Santa Fe: a peaceful, quiet dirt road, that gives you the feeling of being out in the countryside, when you are actually close to everything! WE WALK EVERYWHERE! Canyon Road is one block away, the Santa Fe plaza, galleries, restaurants and shops are a short stroll. Our favorite coffee shop and the local grocery store are just around the corner. Bicycle trails, hiking, skiing and outdoors activities are easily accessible too. - the unique and rare peacefulness of the yard and garden. We love having dinner outside by the fountain, surrounded by birds in the lush garden, relaxing after dinner with a drink or a glass of wine, and then having a private hot tub under the stars. - the history within the adobe walls that was built a century ago. The thick walls, kiva fireplaces, authentic vigas, hardwood and flagstone floors makes this home a charming and fascinating place.

Why Marta Cugusi chose Historic Eastside
When we saw this home on this street we knew it was special and everyday that feeling grows. Sometimes you just know right away when you’ve made a good decision. We furnished this adobe home with love and care and that Santa Fe spirit that brought us here. Encanto means Enchanted (I know, a bit cliché, but it is an appropriate word) and we are sure you will feel the same way after spending some time here.

Beautiful home and amazing location!
The home is inviting and clean. The outdoor space allows for quality time spent with family and friends and the hot tub is terrific! The close proximity to town is also a great perk.... We truly enjoyed our stay!
Great location, authentic adobe home, fantastic owner
My husband, me, my two teenage stepsons, and our dog stayed at this well-appointed and welcoming home during Spring Break. The close proximity to the square was ideal, and my boys (not surprisingly) loved the roomy hot tub (robes are even included!). The owner Marta was quick to respond when we couldn’t locate the DVD player and took very good care of us during our stay. The house is in the traditional adobe style with multiple fireplaces and a private courtyard with comfortable lounge chairs for reading and relaxing. The property is very private including the hot tub. The only, and I mean only, downside is the floors are uneven in some places (particularly the master bedroom entry), so you need to pay close attention so you don’t trip. We quickly became used to it, but could see it being an issue for seniors or anyone with poor eyesight. Other than that, the beds were extremely comfortable and the home was obviously well cared for. We would definitely stay here again!
Just the right size, amenities, and location
Just returned from 4 nights in Casa Encanto. We shared the property with another family and it turned out to be just the right accommodation for our first visit to Santa Fe with young children. Walking distance to the plaza...check. Beautiful local interior decor including 3 fireplaces, courtyard, and hot tub...check. Plenty of kitchen supplies and linens...check. Hard to find things to nitpick about, would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic Stay in Santa Fe
Casa Encanto was just that, enchanting! A truly wonderful home, furnishings well curated and very clean! Serene outdoor space, and in very close proximity to downtown. I definitely recommend this home.
Charming home for a Santa Fe retreat!
This beautiful home was the perfect get away for my family. After snowboarding we looked forward to the three fireplaces and a hot tub soak. The large kitchen was an unexpected surprise. Comfortable beds and terrific location, we plan on making this our Santa Fe home away from home! The owners were responsive and terrific!
beautiful, authentic, and incredibly well-located
We were genuinely enchanted during our stay at this lovely property on Arroyo Tenorio in the historic and charming neighborhood of Acequia Madre in Santa Fe. It is spacious with beautiful courtyards and a hot and clean hot tub under the stars. The house itself is an authentic Santa Fe adobe, and is gorgeous and comfortable at once, as well as clean and cozy. We could walk to downtown Santa Fe within 5 minutes, as well as a lively coffee shop and other cute shops within 1 minute. The house was clean and warm and had everything we needed. It oozes charm and really gives you the feeling of being in Santa Fe, as we snuggled in close to the fire in the kiva fireplace. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and were also able to walk to Santa Fe's best restaurants and art galleries etc. on historic Canyon Rd. within minutes. Marta was a delight to deal with and took very good care of us. She was responsive to emails and inquiries and gave us a lot of good information and tips about the neighborhood and the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely want to stay here again.
