The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

Wake up every single day to the unmistakable sound of the crashing waves at this perfect beach condo! New for 2026: All new wood flooring throughout, the entire unit freshly painted. It has everything you and your guests could ever need to spend a carefree and restful vacation. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony overlooking the water, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
The indoor pool will be closed beginning Monday, March 2, 2026 through Friday, March 14, 2026 for our annual maintenance. The pool will reopen on Saturday, March 15, 2026.
The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great Property but Improvement Needed

Great property and location but much improvement needed. Carpets need replaced and baseboards look like they’ve never been replaced or painted. Need to ensure proper cleaning after previous renters leave (dressers not cleaned out and sand throughout). Arrival time was a mess and 30+ min wait time for elevators (also people used shopping carts to get their luggage to their rooms) - check in surge needs to be better coordinated

Quick away time

Nice, comfortable, & clean. Indoor pool was closed for repairs which was one reason we chose this condo. Bathrooms could be updated with walk in showers & handicap toilets which would make it more appealing to us seniors.

What a view!

The best part of this condo is the amazing view from the 19th floor- ocean view from one side, bay view from the other. We enjoyed the Golden Sands amenities such as the private beach area, pool, tiki bar, and cornhole. The only issue we had was running out of hot water very quickly- 3 out of 4 of us had cold showers.

The kitchen and bathrooms have been updated but the carpet is filthy and ALL of the furniture needs replaced. There were 3 broken plastic chairs on the balcony. We contacted the realty company and they replaced them with 4 plastic chairs. The view is great but the outdated furniture and dirty carpets will keep us from renting this unit again.

What a view!

My husband and I love the Golden Sands and have stayed in many different units. Unit 1906, has a wonderfully updated kitchen. Some of the furniture/outdoor furniture needs to be replaced, but I’m sure the owners will over time.. The largest downside to this unit are the mattresses. They are all extremely hard to the point we visited Walmart to purchase a mattress topper.

First, location was great. Second, pool and gym area really nice - on top floor. Third, view great. Poor communication with Vacasa - never responded to emails except for some boilerplate junk. Kitchen was remodeled and very nice. Furniture a little shabby (to be expected at the beach). The owner needs to rip out the bathtubs - who takes baths anymore - and convert into shower stalls. Water flow poor and hot water ran out fast - assume the place had a small HW heater. Still, it is a good place to stay except it needs some up dating.

Would not recommend.

Good: Location and view, elevators were fast, kitchen remodel was good. Bad: Maintenance man let himself into the unit with no badge or official attire after 9:00 PM claiming an emergency to check for a leak in the master bathroom. Hot water lasts for maybe 5 to 10 minutes. Carpet is covered in stains throughout unit and holds a musty smell. Dust stains on ceiling by ventilation register. Bathrooms heavily corroded, missing bars, cracked tiles, pieces missing off of the toilet seats. Slider VERY difficult to open and close. Beds and furniture are very old and uncomfortable. Furniture very worn down. No USB outlets anywhere. Pictures in listing are not accurate of the condition. For the price I paid, I expected better. Invest a little.

Very Nice Condo

The condo is very nice and clean. You can't beat the view! I do think that the beds need an upgrade. I felt that they were very uncomfortable for my liking.

Nice but could be better

1. We were charged a cleaning fee but had to do most the cleaning before we checked out. 2. The bed in the Master bedroom was very old and uncomfortable. 3. The bedding/pillows smelled like they were in storage and the washer was way to small to wash them. Not even a throw blanket would fit. There were blood and other stains 4. The hot water in the shower last 5mins before going cold. 5. The TV sets in the bedrooms were extremely small. Overall a good stay. Very nice view. Some complimentary coffee and tea would have been a nice touch.
