Welcome to Casa Escondida! This two bedroom and two and one-half bathroom condo is located in Amapas, Puerto Vallarta above Zona Romantica with only a 15 minute stroll to Los Muertos beach. Enjoy panoramic views of Banderas Bay from your private wrap around terrace as well as communal pool in this quaint 11 unit complex.

Remodeled in October, enjoy a perota cabinet and granite counter fully equipped kitchen with hand made dishes and hand blown glassware. Two bedrooms with recently remodeled en suite bathroom in each room with new parota vanities and granite counters and walk-in tile showers. Master bedroom offers a king sized bed and second bedroom offers a queen sized bed. New electrical throughout the unit to accommodate all US electronics. Air conditioning in both bedrooms will cool the entire unit along with six ceiling fans throughout the unit.

Sliding stackable patio doors completely open this unit to the wrap around terrace outside. Master bedroom also has sliding stackable patio doors leading in to the terrace. Sliding screen doors stretch the distance with the doors open. Expansive terrace offers sweeping views of Banderas Bay.

Other features of the unit include laundry room off kitchen, another half-bathroom, and a private gated entry onto the terrace in addition to the gated entry to the complex. There is a total of 50 steps to the unit’s front door from the street level gated entry.

Common area features a heater pool with views of Banderas Bay and beyond. Enjoy the communal loungers and patio set as well as another half-bathroom all meticulously maintained by full time groundskeeper.

Authentic Puerto Vallarta feel

What a beautiful place. We couldn’t have picked a better place, just as described. The owner went out of his way to accommodate our stay and for that we are forever thankful. We felt so safe in our daily morning and evening hikes into town. The neighborhood is adorable, quiet and safe. We will definitely be back. 100% recommend!

Excellent Stay Minutes from Old Town

We are so happy that we were able to rent this beautiful condo for Christmas! My friend and I absolutely loved our time at Casa Escondida. The house is beautifully decorated and extremely well-stocked. I loved cooking in the kitchen, with so many pots and pans at our disposal, and the variety of glassware is unmatched! It was a special treat to have a washer and dryer to use as well. The wrap-around patio provided exquisite views of the bay morning and night, and we especially loved the evening fireworks show from out there. The bedrooms were very comfortable, each with their own private bathroom; such a treat. Loved the raindrop shower heads as well. There is even a walk-in closet available for use in the master bedroom for all your clothes-hanging needs. The new couch in the living room was cozy and made for a nice place to hang out during the down moments enjoying some netflix on the big TV. Location was amazing. We never tried to make the walk down along the creek, although that is an option- it was just all too convenient to call for an Uber or a cab and spend the 60 pesos to get down into Old town. Very easy to get around that way! We always loved coming back at the end of the day and feeling welcomed back by this very private, comfy condo. Though the manual mentions 50 steps to the apartment, we never felt like that was an issue. They are broken up by one staircase leading out of the apartment, another up to the pool, and the final stretch leading up to the gate. We felt extremely safe and secure the whole time, especially as there is a private gate leading to the condo that only we have access to. The pool area was also a lovely space to spend some time in the sun. Overall this is a lovely place to spend time in PV! We were honored to be the first guests through VRBO, and you won't be disappointed if you choose to book it!

Our first trip to PV, made better by this condo

When we travel we like to be a part of a neighborhood, close to amenities but not absolutely in the heart of a commercial area. where it can be noisy and crowded. This condo hit the bullseye for us because of its proximity to Zona Romantica, just above on the hill. The place has a beautiful view on a long terrace, an even better view from the pool/common area where we had our sunset cocktails, and a very helpful owner and property manager. Things to know: this is absolutely only for people very comfortable walking a number of stairs. The area itself is up the hill and you could take Uber or cabs every time you leave the condo. We chose to - and loved - to walk almost all the time. But even if you took cabs around the city, the condo itself is down a few flights of stairs. Furnishings were in many cases brand new and the place was very clean and well kept. Kitchen had all the basics and more (note: it does need plastic cups added to the inventory for use by the pool where glass isn't allowed). We found the cut throughs that allowed us to walk like locals and "live" in the neighborhood for a few days. PV is a special place and we loved our first time there. Bonus points for extra help from Victor, the kind property manager who helpfully stepped in to translate by phone with our covid testing site when our results didn't come back on time. Further, the owner was extremely helpful answering my questions in advance and sending map screen shots for the walking route to a few places I inquired about before we arrived. We went two times from the condo by Uber to Playa Palmares a gorgeous and much quieter beach about 4-5 miles south of PV, for maybe $5. We also absolutely loved the restaurant Serranos Grill Alta Vista, about a 10 minute (hearty) walk from the condo. Went twice it was so good. We recommend anyone to enjoy this lovely condo and the great hospitality of PV.
