We had requested an early check-in, and even though the cleaning service was still working on it when we arrived, they were very accommodating, especially helpful having two young kids with us. The host was extremely helpful, kind, and communicative with us, even when we accidentally locked the key inside (oops!). The location is very convenient, close to Bastille and several metro stations. We loved having the ample space and two bathrooms, very unique for a Paris apartment! Thank you to our hosts who were very accommodating and kind and providing us with a clean and bright space with plenty of amenities!

Overall this was a decent place to stay. The area has a lot of restaurants, shops, bars and easy access to the Bastille subway station. The property itself was clean but a lot of stains on things and the courtyard area is under construction so it was a big eyesore. Some things inside could have been better-the shower, bathrooms. The WiFi downstairs is really bad which was kind of a bummer for lazy bed surfing and decompressing. The other main thing is the entry situation. There is only one key and you need it to get in OR out. There’s a lock box outside but it’s SO SO SO dark and hard to see the code at night, even with a phone light shining on it. We had some trouble with one person in and one person out a couple of times where we either had to wake each other up or be locked in. Not to mention, I’m sure the code does not change so it feels a little unsafe. I would recommend them having a light outside of the door, a lock on the door that can be closed/locked/unlocked from the inside without the physical key and improving the wifi with a booster or something downstairs.

Prior to arrival the Host initiated contact through WhatsApp. She was very thorough, prompt, and available for communication. The instructions to enter the property were precise and easy to follow. The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable, spacious and well furnished. The apartment had many nice shops, bakeries, cafés and grocery stores steps away. It was easily accessable to transit a 2-3 minute walk in either direction. I was quite impressed with the Paris transit system. Ample espresso pods and tea bags, toilet paper, toiletries, paper towels, plates, glasses, cups and cutlery were available for us to use. The reason we rated our stay a 4/5 stars was that we were a party of 6 and we were given 2 towels. The listing indicated bathroom 1 would have towels and bathroom 2 would have towels. We contacted the host to and requested more towels so that each guest would have a towel. She replied and indicated that she would have someone come by in the afternoon to drop of the requested additional towels. She responded indicating that the cleaning staff was in short supply of towels and would not be able to satisfy our request. I responded multiple times to her message and never had any communication with her again. Up until the towel request everything was phenomenal.I would definitely stay again in the unit, although I would confirm the specific number of towels that would be available for us to use.

Appartement décevant: adresse bis pas mentionnée dans toutes les communications, travaux bruyants dans la cour et nombreuses poubelles devant la porte de l’appartement, propriétaire non réactif, nombreux problèmes (pommeau de douche non installé, grille-pain qui fait sauter les fusibles, poêle qui ne fonctionne pas avec la plaque, pas assez de manettes pour les climatiseurs, aucun mode d’emploi pour les télés ni pour le reste comme la machine à laver ). Emplacement idéal, proche de magasins pour le ravitaillement, du métro, et des quartiers de la Roquette et la Bastille. Ice cold apartment in Paris. All of the bedrooms were in the cellar so we sleep so good. It was dark, cold & quiet. The neighborhood is great & close to everything
