Rickhouse: A structure designed to store and age distilled spirits.

Sparked from a passion for fine spirits and the idea that a home can contain all the makings to craft the perfect cocktail, the Rickhouse was born. Featuring chesterfield leather seating, a vast collection of cocktail glasses, regulated 4-tier humidor and spirits-centric art, it strikes the perfect match of comfort and eccentricity.

NuLu (New Louisville) is known for its stylish bars, splashy art, unique goods and an ever-growing number of the best new local eateries. Your house is located one street behind the main strip, so walking to the heart of NuLu is less than 5 minutes!

The Bourbon Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ full bath right outside the door. This bedroom contains custom built bourbon barrel walls, sourced from Kentucky’s finest distilleries.

The Sotol Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ connected full bath. This bedroom features Sotol (AKA the Desert Spoon) - a clear spirit primarily crafted in Mexico and was introduced to us by way of Texas distillery, Desert Door.

The Rickhouse has a fully fenced backyard with a patio, grill and fire pit. We supply the charcoal and firewood (when in season).

Free street parking is available directly in front of the house. Whether you prefer walking, biking, scooter-ing or Uber-ing, there's so much to do and see around you - and lots of ways to get there.

The location is perfect, just 1 block from shops and restaurants. The house is well furnished and if you are there for the bourbon trail, you will have everything you need to make fancy cocktails.The matresses are firm, sheets are nice, it was easy to build a fire in the fire pit. We would definitely stay there again. The hosts are quick to return messages.

The accommodations were perfect for our group. Two couples met here to spend time sightseeing and enjoying Louisville. The VRBO location was exceptional; we were able to walk to many locations and everything else was a short drive. Perfect 2 king beds and 2 full bathrooms for couples. We really enjoyed unwinding and enjoying a cigar in back by the firepit at night. Hosts were always quick to respond and gave great recommendations for coffee house and restaurants.

This house was perfect for our weekend! We were in town with another couple for a long weekend. We each had a king bed and our own bathroom. The living space was perfect for games or hanging out and talking. We sat out back for drinks and cigars one evening. Lots of privacy from neighbors. We walked to breakfast every morning (check out Biscuit Belly). Several bars are within walking distance. We did uber to some distilleries. Our favorite activities: Churchill Tour and Kentucky Derby museum, whiskey row walking tour, The Last Refuge.

The house was adorable, the owners gracious and generous (letting us check in early and leaving us goodies). Highly recommend staying here. Perfect for couples and groups. The only reason I gave 4 stars on worth the cost is that the price is brutal during the Derby. Brutal. If travelling any other time of the year please stay here, you will love it!

We had an amazing experience here. This property is very nice and truly felt like our own home. One of the biggest highlights was the location. We had incredible access to local entertainment and a huge variety of restaurants-just a short walking distance away. The host provided great communication throughout our stay, and the beds were extremely comfortable, which made a huge difference. If you’re looking for a top tier property in the vicinity of the action this is it highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was well decorated, comfortable, and had all the amenities we were looking for during our trip to the bourbon trail. Everything was very clean and just as it looks in the pictures. They left wonderful local coffee for us, a nice selection of glasses for drinks, and even firewood and cigar ash trays for us to enjoy in the evenings around the fire pit.It is walking distance to everywhere in NULU, and only a mile or so walk (or a Lime scooter ride!) away from whiskey row.We would stay here again the next time.

The Rickhouse was an absolute gem for our Bourbon Trail trip!Its prime location offered convenient access to the NuLu restaurants and Whiskey Row.Loved the decor, it gave the house a Bourbon Room feel. The kitchen was well equipped; the complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch.We had a fantastic stay - just wish we had time to enjoy the fire pit and backyard.Kyle and Kenzie were great and made everything easy. Would highly recommend for a memorable stay.

Amazing stay at The Rickhouse! We love visiting Louisville and always visit the NuLu area to shop and eat. This time we decided to stay there, too. What a fun couples weekend we had. This property is perfect for 2 couples! The house is so well equipped! Quality is everywhere you look. So thoughtfully set up. Want to enjoy a cigar out back? There's a humidor! Enjoy mixing a cocktail before you head to Market St for dinner but can't recall the ratio? No worries... they have some great cocktail recipe books and ALL the glassware and things you need to shake up a winner!We ate breakfast in and really enjoyed lounging around the living room chatting about the day's plans. The local coffee the Hosts provided was wonderful and we appreciated stashing the leftovers for a fast warm up the next day. So much better than staying in a traditional hotel. We can't wait to plan another trip down. So many more things to see and do in NuLu.
