Nick was an absolutely fantastic host, and the property was awesome. We realized we needed to extend our stay and he was great working with us to allow us to stay. Very central location. Safe, walkable neighborhood, great for our dog. The unit itself was clean, kitchen was stocked, bed was comfy, internet was good - really all you can ask for. If I have family or friends coming to visit San Jose in the future, I absolutely plan on recommending Nick’s property.

Cozy!

Wonderful cozy place. It is next to the railway which gets a decent amount of traffic, but it's easy to tune out plus they offered earplugs for sleeping if needed. Host was very nice and addressed any questions quickly and efficiently. Definitely recommend if looking for a local spot near downtown.

Railway 2 Week Stay

What a great property! Nicholas was nothing short of fantastic. Very personable and respectful of your privacy. The property is charming and very cozy. We felt right at home the whole time. The neighborhood was safe a delight to walk our dogs thru. The train is loud AF.

Railway Getaway Stay

The owner is readily available for any questions or concerns. You get used to the train. They run less frequently at night. Easy access to freeway and local shops.

Welcoming to pets. Nicholas was able to let us use the front yard for our two dogs to run around and stretch. We were not able to use the amenities from outside the property because it was cold and not useable. The sofa was a bit uncomfortable. We had a small issue with the WiFi however we were able to connect after rebooting. Kitchen is useable. I would say that this place is more for a couple or a small family with dogs. Access to an all your dogs and there is a bakery down the street for coffee and pasteries. Nicholas was very communicative. Overall the property was clean and well organized.

I was in the bay area for work and needed a long term stay. I had a last minute cancellation on a different VRBO and I’m glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Railway Getaway!The property itself was dope; the deck was filled with fruit/vegetable plants (that I could help myself too), there was a sauna and hot tub, and the unit itself was clean and had all the amenities I needed.The host, Nick, came in clutch when I told him my situation and he accepted my request to stay. He was super friendly and accommodating! He was attentive if I needed anything and I enjoyed his humor and chill vibes!I would highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever in the San Jose area!
