Becwar House . . . at the Mississippi River

Welcome to Becwar House, a completely renovated and improved home that was built in 1905 and owned by our family since 1951. After purchasing the property from my family in July, 2020, I spent a full year renovating every room, bringing a refreshed look while maintaining the comfortable feel and character of an older family home.
The space
Improvements to the house included the removal of old space consuming radiators and the installation of a new state-of-the-art heating and cooling system, particularly designed for older homes. The new open floor plan on the first level is great for larger groups or families. You will also find many other modern conveniences of home:

• Multiple spaces to gather in both large or small group settings

AREA ATTRACTIONS
• Mississippi River – Becwar House is only two blocks from the river, with
access to a playground, picnic shelter, kayak and canoe rentals, and boat
launches
• Religious Services – St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church is across the street.
Also, the grade school playground is on the same block
• Downtown business area is within easy walking distance - 5 blocks

HOUSE OVERVIEW:

KITCHEN: This room was redesigned to provide more open space with all new appliances and lighting. If you’re looking to make some meals during your stay, you’ll find it’s well equipped with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, etc., along with every appliance you’ll need, including a dish washer. It even includes a coffee station with free coffee (caffeinated and de-caffeinated) and filters, tea, condiments, and device recharging receptacles (4 USBs) and cable.

DINING ROOM: This a great room for meals and social gatherings with a large farmhouse style dining room table that seats 8 comfortably and a large buffet, soon to be stocked with plenty of board and card games.

BATHROOMS
• Bathroom 1 – Located on the first floor next to the kitchen with shower.
• Bathroom 2 – Located on the second floor with tub and shower. Please
note the vanity contains docking space and power sources
for both a hair dryer and a curler.

LAUNDRY: A full-sized stackable washer and dryer are located on the second floor in the hallway next to the master bedroom.

BEDROOMS
• Bedroom 1 – First floor bedroom has a queen size bed
• Bedroom 2 – Second floor West bedroom has two twin beds
• Bedroom 3 – Second floor South bedroom has a queen size bed
• Bedroom 4 – Second floor East master bedroom has a king size bed

LIVING ROOM: The living room is off of the dining room area on the first floor. It provides comfortable seating and ample lighting, plus a comfy sleeper sofa. This room also has a large 55” flat screen TV, free WiFi, and free access to YouTube TV, Prime Video, and Netflix.

PORCHES: The front porch provides a separate area to relax in a comfy chair to read a book or nap or for more private conversations away from the main living areas. It’s also has air conditioning vents for a comfortable guest setting. The back porch also provides addition space for two people to visit and sit for morning coffee.

OUTDOOR FEATURES
• Spacious new patio with gas grill and propane tank
• Patio furniture is in the works, but for now only a few lawn chairs. If you
have a larger group and enjoy relaxing outdoors together, you may want
to bring extra chairs
• Parking – long driveway provides ample room for multiple vehicles in
addition to street parking on both sides of this corner lot

No keys to lose or to return! This property provides secure, keyless entry with an August Smart Lock. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key, or personal entry code issued to you for the duration of your stay.
