Slide the 12’ doors all the way open and Take a deep breath of mountain air as you experience the expansive deck. The custom deck stretches out not only to maximize unobstructed views But to cover the private 40’x12’ Pool & Hot Tub below! Have you ever swam with a Pool window before?

Sleeps 30-50 people in beds and fit 4 families comfortably!
= 4 Primary Suites ( 2 king beds, 3 Queen beds = Sleeps 10)
= 2 Bunk Rooms (8 Full size bunk beds w/ Trundles) max 5 per bunk x 8 = Sleeps 40 just in bunks 😅 if you need!

Everything about this place was perfect!

Bother kids and adults loved this home. The ball pit and pool were amazing and kept the kids entertained for hours. The balcony with the perfect view was a perfect place for the adults to hang out. Short drive to the lake and restaurants.

Amazing experience

This was our first trip to Bear Lake. The Modern Bear was such a pleasure for my family. There were 23 of us ranging in age from 9 to 71 and we had a blast. Our hostess Danielle was amazing in every way and answered any question we had within minutes. She was amazing and the whole experience was fantastic. The home was huge. The hot tub and swimming pool were a big hit with all ages in our group. This is the place we will stay for all future trips to Bear Lake!!!

Bear Lake Family Reunion

This house is beautiful and very amenable for large groups. There is a deck that flows out from the living room with two large tables and chairs for eating and games as well as outdoor furniture that has an incredible view of the valley and lake. There are also large eating areas inside. The kitchen is well equipped, clean and new (the whole house is new). Downstairs there is a toy cubby but the real surprise was the ball pit. It kept kids enthralled for hours! The home is located in a beautiful valley and convenient to town. We would definitely go back again. We had a wonderful time.

It was cool in two ways! First that the house was awesome and met our needs as a family of 42. Bring your own pillows but beds are comfortable. The only disappointment was the pool temperature was cold even after sitting for 6-8 hours covered. Grandma’s turn lasted 5 minutes. She was so disappointed. Christmas family Reunion

My children and grandchildren gathered from Utah, Idaho, Washington and North Carolina to celebrate the holidays. We went skiing at Beaver, had a great time sledding and tubing right by the house! After both of theses activities, the Hot tub was well used. The littles loved the “ball pit” and the toy corner. Especially the Barbie House and the Train set! The Great room, kitchen, pantry and dining area was well designed to accommodate our meal prep, and dining. Along with games and puzzles and of course, watching lots of football games and movies. Everyone enjoyed their private rooms and baths, and the kids loved their “cousin time” in the bunk rooms. We would definitely recommend The Modern Bear for your family and friends gatherings!

Favorite house in Ten years!

A group of friends and family go up to Bear Lake every summer for a few days to escape and to celebrate our Birthdays. This was our Tenth year coming to Bear Lake and our absolute favorite house we have stayed at yet. It was clean and beautiful. Plenty of places to sleep and so many activities! Born & raised in Utah we have come to truly enjoy all that Utah has to offer when it comes to creating memories for our family. We started renting homes when we wanted to travel with our twins. We did not want to stress about hauling all the gear to a busy public pool or 'working' activities around nap schedules. Now that they are older we simply enjoy the extra privacy & space when renting a home vs a hotel room.
This Bear Lake home has allowed the entire family and friends to relax & play with all the entertainment right in the backyard!

Located just minutes from Bear Lake Marina you can enjoy the boating, UTV trails, and golf courses in the summer and Skiing and Snow Sports in the winter as there are many hikes and outdoor activities for all to enjoy.

Garden City is short drive for shopping, activities, and many dining options as the city is growing!

Or, if you just want to relax and stay home, there is plenty to do with the private backyard pool, hot tub, ball pit, arcade games and places to relax.
