The lake house property was clean, comfortable and was an excellent location. We enjoyed the proximity to Gettysburg, Harper’s Ferry, Cacapon State Park and the C and O Towpath bike trail and museum.
My wife and I stayed with our dog Louie (who loved it there). Easy traveling in pretty much any direction; Berkeley Springs, Martinsburg, Winchester, etc. House had everything we needed. Nice big deck overlooking the lake/pond. Had a great week there and will certainly consider coming back the next time we are in the area.
We arrived and sat out in the porch deck. Very pleasant and calming. The house was comfortable and well stocked. The only disappointment was the lake was small and inaccessible. The area were the house is is route and quiet. Except for a rooster who crowded but not loud enough to disturb you.
A great little house for a relaxing long weekend getaway for a family of four. We enjoyed outdoor activities within a 45 min drive: biking on C&O trail (e bikes available for rent),hiking, and river rafting. Property was clean, quiet, and well-stocked. There was a hair dryer, and toothbrushes available in case you forget one. Owner left a bottle of wine and glasses - a really nice touch! We grilled and enjoyed the outdoor space. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
The house is comfortable and cute. Loved the upper deck from the living room to watch and listen to the birds. (Exciting to watch bluebirds go in/out of birdhouse!) Did not use the pool. Lake (or pond?) was accessible. Caught several fish - one a good sized bass. Owner is helpful and responsive. Didn’t see neighbors but sometimes could hear kids in pool, dogs barking, music etc. Fire pit was nice and easy to use.

The house itself is okay! But to get to the pond to fish you have to go down a steep hill! To get to the pool it's on a hill! The land around the house is hills! We left 3 days early because we couldn't do any of the stuff they advertise! My wife has a heart condition and I have two blown knee's! So we pretty much stayed inside the time we were there!
Our family needed a weekend getaway that wasn't too far from our home but had the amenities we wanted - like a pool and a fire pit and nice views! We arrived to a cozy and clean 3 bedroom cabin. We had a week-long heat wave and the cabin's split AC unit seemed to work well under those circumstances. We brought our 4 small dogs - but had them caged 90% of the time since we could not trust them to not jump on the couch with us. We roasted smores on the fire pit, enjoyed the lower deck bar and bistro lights, the kids loved playing the board games provided by the host, and of course, we all enjoyed the pool!Key points: Clean house!Fully functional and stocked kitchen (you just need to bring the food)Super comfy beds and couchAC units work perfectly (just keep all bedroom doors open)Things to consider:Hills - the lake is not easily accessible ( but was not a big deal for our family)Bring extra towels (we just had enough for showering, but needed extra for swimming)Bring extra TP and trash bags (we quickly went through 2 rolls and bags with 7 people)We loved the getaway - and we would absolutely book here again!
Me and my group definitely enjoyed our stay. Cabin was clean, and had everything we needed inside of it. We did use the pool, it was small but it did the trick to keep cool from the heat! Ladder in pool was a bit dangerous. Unfortunately the lake “pond” was not able to be used at all. It wasn’t clear, covered in Lilly pads and water was black. We were definitely bummed to not be able to fish and take our kayaks out and enjoy it. Property was very hilly. Looks flatter in pictures. But definitely steep hills. There is a stream access point that’s 4 minutes from the house that we took advantage of on Maryland drive! This place was a gem! We put rafts and chairs in the water and could relax. Access spot looks like a little Property owners do have multiple cameras around property. One facing pool, one by the front door, and one on deck and lower deck. We understand some surveillance. But we did think it was taking away from some privacy.
The fire pit was a big hit! Lots of chairs and wood … marshmallows were a nice touch! The pool was refreshing and views from the deck were lovely. We saw a dear and lots of birds. Kitchen had nice coffeepot, toaster, ample silverware and good cutlery. All the right pots and pans too! The “little extras” like seasonings, variety of teas and coffee were nice as was the welcome bottle of wine.
The one & only dish drying towel was not absorbent… a few 100% cotton ones would have been nice. I would recommend better pillows in master (we traveled from Florida so couldn't bring our own)
All in all our short stay was very nice!
We usually go to the beach for our Annual Girls Trip. However, we opted for the Lake House this year instead & what a fabulous decision! 5 of us total. The pool was super clean.
We brought some firewood, but there was some there as well. The house was adorable, clean & well stocked. Marcus has gone above & beyond with this very inviting retreat. Everything you can possibly need, is there. We enjoyed reconnecting with each other floating in the pool, cooking dinner & making smores over the fire pit. The little bar area on bottom patio worked really well for playing Uno. Family Fued (games we found there) as well as Telestrations. Everything was perfect. We will be back. Thank you Marcus!

We had a great time kayaking and fishing in the lake. We also enjoying swimming in the pool after a day of exploring the local area. The updated fire pit area was lovely. We always love when we can cook over the fire on our vacations. It was a great time! Thank you for sharing your lake house with my family.
I took my three kids and had a great getaway weekend. The house was extremely clean, welcoming, and well stocked. The lake was so fun, it was filled with so much aquatic life. It had giant carp, turtles, bullfrogs, sunfish, and bass. We had a great time, you will too.
This place was so cozy. Well equiped kitchen for cooking. The deck was so nice to sit on w my tea in the mornings. Fishing was fun and the fire pit set up is really nice. Great place for family or couples. Berkeley Springs is just a 20 minutes ride as well as groceries if needed. I would definitely stay here again.
