UP-Scale Lofts are two-bedroom apartments in the heart of downtown Munising, Michigan - Upper Peninsula. These 2nd-floor loft apartments are centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, groceries, pubs and breweries, coffee shops, and many area highlights, including Pictured Rocks Cruises and Munising Bay. Local host provides a quiet, clean, and classy space with all the amenities for a quality stay. The lofts are a short distance from many beaches, waterfalls, trails, and the adventures of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Hiawatha National Forest.
UP Scale Lofts offer ample space to relax after a long day of exploring, cook with family and friends, or enjoy a stress-free workcation with high-speed internet. Two bedrooms are furnished with brand-new mattresses and high-quality bedding. Full-bathroom features a tiled tub/shower combination, plush towels, hand towels, and washcloths.
Two private parking spaces are assigned to each apartment.
Our second, 2-bedroom Luxury Loft is located directly across the hall and can additionally be booked for larger parties. Each unit has its own entrance.
Primarily this property is best for adults & is not equipped for small children as it is located on a busy street, there is no yard, & a professional couple without children, and a business co-occupy the building.

I originally moved to the area with my coffee bus, The Dream Bean Machine, after finding a retail building to rent and park at in Grand Marais in 2020. I fell into the business of short-term rentals after trading up from my first home until I landed a fantastic mixed rental unit in the heart of Downtown Munising.
As most do, I had quickly fallen in love with the UP, Pictured Rocks, Munising, and now being able to share our space with anyone ready to come check it out. My partner, pup, and I love hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, kayaking, and beaching. We also enjoy finding the best food, coffee, craft beer, and live music. We chose the UP as our home accordingly, and personally believe it to be as good as it gets!

Why they chose this property
I was a resident here when the building went up for sale. I loved the building, its location, its diverse offerings, and Munising. Needing to reinvest after selling my rental downstate, this building was a shoo-in. I was even lucky enough to have a great relationship with the sellers (my landlords)!

Location, comfort, cleanliness, and local host! We care about our lofts and your stay. We stock our rentals with cute, comfortable, high-quality supplies and use the very best professional cleaning service in town.
Staying right downtown with two off-street parking spots guaranteeing free downtown parking at all times is as good as it gets! Munising Bay Arts Association rents the lower level offering unique, local, and hand-crafted goods on-site. Munising Bay/Lake Superior is a 5-minute walk. Gallery Coffee and Fallingrock Cafe are two unique and highly sought-after coffee shops located across the street with ample seating and workspace available.
