What makes this cabin unique

'The house was absolutely gorgeous. Our expectations were high going in and I’m happy to say that they were more than met. The décor of the house was beautiful. We were amazed that the cabin was set on such an incredible plot of land. The view was absolutely breathtaking and serene. The experience of hanging out in the deck’s hot tub at night looking up at the stars and overlooking acres of snow covered land and mountain is something I’ll never forget. Truly an enjoyable respite from the hassles of everyday life. I’ll definitely go back again and so will all my friends. Thank you Sunshine for a wonderful experience!' -- Jeff Nissani (JSN Properties) 'Going away to The Cabin was a luxurious escape from the city and one of the highlights of the year. The setting could not be more tranquil and picturesque, and the Cabin itself is a warm, beautifully furnished place, with all the amenities you can imagine. Whether it was skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, or just relaxing, it was all there for you. And after a hard day of on the slopes, few things could compare with relaxing in the hot tub, breathing in the cool mountain air under a sparkling starlit night. It was truly an experience to remember, and I highly recommend that everyone takes advantage of this amazing resource.' -- Adam Gerstein (beauty ADDICTS) 'I have just returned from a spectacular weekend at “The Cabin” in xxxxxxxxx, Vermont. The Cabin is a work of art in itself. Constructed by hand and almost entirely from natural resources, there is a breathtaking calmness to the property which is only ever disturbed but the actions of the people residing within it. Set on 10 Acres of land and surrounded by mountains, The Cabin also boasts a beautiful open fireplace, Jacuzzi, Snowmobile, and Ping Pong table. This property is the perfect host for social events and I can’t wait to return later in the year. Absolutely fantastic.' -- Paul Lanzarotti (Co-Founder & President of Duel Network)

Have stayed at this cabin before and will be sure renting again

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely perfect cabin. Plenty of room for a large group. Highlights include very well maintained clean hot tub, skillet grill in the kitchen, and 10 acres of land so you can have fun without worrying about neighbors. Cannot think of a single thing that could make the cabin a better experience. Stay here, you will not regret it!

Amazing house. Just as cozy as it appears in the photos!

  • 5 of 5

This house is really special!! We went up with 20 friends this weekend for a ski trip and we loved everything about it. It is cozy and fun and the bean bags are the best part. The kitchen was stocked and clean, the bathrooms were clean, and the house had everything you could want. The property itself is vast and quiet and the view really is stunning. Only minor complaint was the info sent to me in the PDF before the trip must have been out of date because things like the wifi, contact info, etc were wrong, but these were noted at the house when we arrived. Other than that we had an amazing time and plan to go back every year! Thank you to the owners for letting us stay at this beautiful house!!

Beautiful cabin immersed in nature

  • 5 of 5

I rented the cabin for a large group of people. We were incredibly happy with our stay. The cabin itself is beautiful, spacious, and full of light and natural wood. And the valley that houses the cabin has breathtaking views. We were less than 10 minutes away from wonderful skiing at Killington. We can't wait to go back.

Everything was great!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was exactly like it was advertised. There was plenty of supplies in the house that normally you have to pack for lower end rentals (trash bags etc.) Checkout was really easy and a bunch of firewood was included. Management replied to phone calls/concerns immediately. My group had an amazing time and we'll definitely be back last year.

Overpriced, Over-promised, Filthy

  • 1 of 5

We rented this cabin for our Christmas weekend get away for our extended family of 13. We spent a 5 star amount, with the expectation we would need to only unpack/relax.

Unfortunately from the moment we walked on to the property, which was buried under ice and snow (with no shovel, plow, or ice melt available), our vacation was anything back relaxing.

Of the three TV's boasted on the property description, only one worked adequately (the other was broken, second was "nailed" to the wall (damaged USB ports, poor reception, etc...).

The entire home was unclean-wet laundry in dryer, filthy (black) towels hanging in kitchen, RODENT EXCREMENT in the kitchen drawers (utensil drawer, etc...), body hair in the showers/bathroom floor, refrigerator with spills, hair, dirt.

We contacted the neighboring property manager, whose family treated us with much disrespect, reported out concerns to the owner. When speaking to the owner directly , he did not resolve ANY of these issues (and frankly lacked any empathy). We asked for compensation since we spent the entire first 24 hours cleaning his property. We were told by the owner he would find a resolve prior to our check out. At check out time, we still had not heard from the owner. We called-left voicemail; He has yet to call us back (10 days later).

We chose to write this review in order to help others avoid such a disappointing experience. (this is my 2nd review, since my other one was not approved for posting- very interesting). Our family had hoped for a peaceful get away, after a tough year with multiple losses of family members. We tried to look to understand the lack of customer service from the owner, however with demonstrated disrespect, attention to detail, and disregard for our families safety, it is apparent he is only looking for money, not client satisfaction.

While staying a The Cabin take a walk over to the Long Trail Brewery a short five minute walk from the Cabin. This famous micro brewery offers a brewery tour, sample the award winning family of fine ales and relax in the laid back ambiance of the pub.

Vermont is home to some of the most scenic golf courses in the country. Check out one of the 17 public golf courses in the area or take a short drive to one of the many famous attractions including the town of Woodstock. Made famous by the Rockefeller family this town is widely regarded by many as the prettiest small town in America.

The Cabin is surrounded by hundreds of lakes but make sure you take a drive and visit Lake Rescue a short seven minutes away. The tenth deepest and 23rd largest lake in Vermont is a great destination during the hot summer months.

Make sure not to forget to visit Simon Pearce Restaurant, Quechee, VT (15 miles from the cabin). Overlooking the falls of Vermont’s Ottauquechee River and its covered bridge, is a food destination worth its out-of-the-way address. The exposed-brick and blond wood terrace dining room—hanging over the falls—is open and airy in the summer and fully glass-encased during winter.
