The property was easy to find & just a few minutes to downtown Creede. Check in was seamless, the home was clean, very well stocked & we loved the air fryer / toaster oven - so much we're gonna get one. We actually really liked the laundry area - a great place to drop your things or leave to take in the morning. We got our night vision out & the stars were spectacular. The next morning we awakened to a FULL rainbow / double rainbow.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: VRC was EXCEPTIONAL! Unfortunately I chose the property without discussing it with them. Moonshine Cabin needed maintenance and it was not well stocked with glassware/pots & pans. Don't want anyone else to make the mistake I did and choose a better property. VRC was more than accomodating and I recommmend them highly.
Response from VrboOwner on Aug 15, 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words about VRC! We’re truly glad to hear that our team was exceptional, accommodating, and helpful throughout your stay. That means a lot to us. We’re sorry that Moonshine Cabin itself didn’t fully meet your expectations. We completely understand how disappointing it is to arrive and find maintenance concerns and realize the kitchen isn’t stocked as well as you had hoped. We truly appreciate you bringing these items to our attention. The maintenance concerns have since been resolved, and we’ve also addressed the glassware, pots, and pans to ensure the kitchen is better stocked for future guests. We’re especially grateful that, despite the issues with the property, you felt well cared for by our team. We’re always happy to help guests find a home that’s the right fit for their needs, and we sincerely appreciate your recommendation of VRC. Thank you again for your honest feedback and for giving us the opportunity to improve. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit and help you find a property that provides the comfortable and enjoyable experience you’re looking for!

Great family house

We had two families with young kids stay over July 4th. It was wonderful! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. We really appreciated the great communication and hospitality. They even delivered a grill for us when we asked if there was one we could use. Great service and a great location! We would love to come back soon!

Very comfortable and LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

Wonderful location. Took us a while to figure out TV and our streaming options but worked out fine. Never figured out AC and it was hot during the day. We hope to come back and stay there again.

We're so glad that you enjoyed the location of this home. This property, as with the vast majority of homes and businesses in Mineral County, has a central heating system but not central air conditioning. We encourage you to open the windows, and we're happy to provide additional fans upon request.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was the perfect cabin. Very clean close enough to town but far enough out to be peaceful. Enough room to get 30 ft trailer into driveway without much trouble. 10 of 10. Perfect cabin.

Cozy and Clean in Creede

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this cabin incredibly last minute (like, day of). The hosts were very responsive and answered all of our questions. The house was in the perfect location and was very clean upon arrival. Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The small touches from VRC were thoughtful and cute. The only tiny inconvenience was the lack of A/C. During the day it was fine, but at night, I sleep very hot and could have used some air. Most cabins in this area don't have HVAC, so I don't blame the owners at all.
Response from VrboOwner on Aug 13, 2025
Thank you for your kind review! We’re so glad we could accommodate your last-minute booking and that you found everything to be delightful. We appreciate your understanding about the lack of A/C—you're right, most cabins in the area don’t have HVAC—but we’ll certainly keep your feedback in mind for future enhancements. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!

Great Place to Stay!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Moonshine Cabin is a great home! Beautiful home with a great porch to view the scenery! The experience would be better if there was a grill on site. The living room is actually really small, but the porch right off the living room opens the space. Just a short drive in to Creede. Be sure to experience the Repertory Theater while in town!
