Pet Friendly Delightful Waterfront Cottage on Hoopers Island, MD.

Delightful waterfront vacation cottage. Pet friendly with fee. Sleeps 4 people and has a pack and play and high chair for a young child. Enjoy sunset views from the screened in porch and sunrises from the shared dock. Enjoy fishing, crabbing, and boating off of the property's shared fishing pier. Bring your own boat and park it out back at the shared dock. Purchased and updated in 2022. New furniture and bedding. Full amenities and fiber optic WiFi included in price. First floor of the house is the main living space which includes kitchen, dining area, living room, and a full bathroom with large walk-in shower. Gas grill available. Two adirondack chairs and charming bistro adorn the front porch. Bring your own boat, kayak, or wave-runner and tie up at the shared dock. Smart TV and DVD player are available for your viewing pleasure. Excellent opportunity for duck, goose, turkey, and sika deer (the smallest member of the elk family) hunting in Dorchester County (off property). We are located 10 minutes from the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Please visit their website for hunting information. Our home is on the Honga River at the mouth the Chesapeake Bay. We are located on historic Upper Hoopers Island in Fishing Creek, MD. Pet friendly with pet fee. Unattended dogs must be crated when left alone. One large dog crate is included with the pet fee of $150 per stay. Please note, all dogs must be leashed when outside and they must stay on the property. Please note: The pet fee is PER PET. If you have two pets staying please let us know, and we will send a payment request for the second pet. Sorry, no smoking and you must be 25 years or older to rent this home.

The house and grounds were as advertised, which was good. Temps while there were cool and we had trouble figuring out how to get the heating system to work. There were no instructions present and Internet research provided directions but not for that particular model. And the unit would display an error message that mean the unit could not connect to the outside unit. Also, there was long black hair in the shower when we arrived.

Wonderful cottage and location

Great experience, wonderful cozy cottage with thoughtful touches throughout. Remote, peaceful location with excellent fishing and crabbing all around you. Fantastic eating at Old Salty's less than a couple of miles away. Very dog friendly cottage and lovely screened in porch area to sit and watch the sunsets. We will be booking again next year.

The house was exactly how the pictures showed !Cute and cozy ,and clean ! Im a country girl and felt at home sitting on the porch,enjoying the breeze. The sound of the ocean was a bonus!! Amazing cottage for the perfect getaway

Amazing cottage for the perfect getaway!!! My daughter and I were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect location for us to relax in and plug together the views were amazing the hospitality tiptop we really enjoyed our time and cannot wait to return! Easy Getaway with Great Views

Cozy little house with spectacular views of the water plus bald eagle sightings! It was perfect for a quick getaway and we had all we needed to enjoy our time there. Toby was a great host and very responsive. Highly recommended.

Relaxing vacation, beautiful scenery

We loved staying here for 3 days, going down to the dock a few times a day just to see the sunset or the osprey nesting. The house is perfect for the two of us (and puppy), had everything we could want to be comfortable, rain or shine. Loved the firepit at night also. The location is great for reaching Harriet Tubman sights and Blackwater refuge, but also out of the way and very quiet. We would highly recommend the Sunrise Cottage for a relaxing vacation.

super cute cottage at the end of the road

We had a wonderful stay. Cottage was tidy, bed super comfy, and little fishing villiage was just what we needed for the week. We paddled, walked, snoozed/read on the porch and biked every day. Wished we brough fishing poles...next time! Thank you Kim and Toby. The stay was beautiful.

These homes were lovingly added to VRBO by Toby and Kim after they fell in love with the National Wildlife Refuge and the stunning sunsets of the Chesapeake Bay. In 2025 they transferred ownership to an Amish family from Lancaster, PA who is excited to use this property as their vacation spot and that's where we (Kayla and REMM Stays) come in.
