Extensive library present at the premises. A master suite with sweeping valley views and private dressing room and thermal spa bath. Two additional rooms with shared bath and a children's third floor nursery/playroom with three beds. Décor and setting provide American comfort with European antique furnishings. The valley side of the house is surrounded by a flagstone terrace with seating over the full length, accessible by French doors across the entire side of the house. The end of the terrace includes a separate seating area and a heated dipping pool. Nestled between mature plantings is a children's play structure and zip wire.

The house can be rented for more extended visits during the summer months and over the major holidays. For the rest of the year the house is available as a Bed and Breakfast or short term rental for family reunions or a romantic get-away.

Hidden Valley welcomes discerning guests who are hoping to find a private escape and comfortable lodging, 2 hours drive from New York City and an easy hour from Bradley International Airport in Hartford/Springfield. Superior accommodation - the perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at several other properties in the area, but as soon as we found Hidden Valley, we knew it was time to delete the other options for good!

From the minute you drive up to this gorgeous Cape Dutch style house, till the second you depart, you are wrapped in a world of utter sophistication and intimate charm. The views are the best you will find anywhere, as the house is nestled on top of a hill. It's perfectly located - not far from town and several great restaurants, yet, it is just remote enough to bring you peace and calm.

We have stayed here four or five times, and have tried each room, and they are all beautifully appointed, elegant and comfortable. The best part of your stay at Hidden Valley, is undoubtedly the hostess, Regine - whom with her two sweet dogs Hopje and Pippa, instantly make you feel welcome, as if you had visited before.

One of my many favorite moments at the house is breakfast in the kitchen, looking out at the rolling hills while chatting away with Regine. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and will steer you in the right direction, whether it's hiking options, or restaurant recommendations - or if you're lucky enough, she will share with you her favorite spots in the area for antiquing. You arrive a guest, and you depart a friend. We cannot recommend this place enough, and look forward to our next visit!

Our family has visited the Hidden Valley Bed & Breakfast several times now, and each time, we are amazed at how it was just as good as we remembered it. The house is so comfortable. Fluffy down pillows, comfy blankets, luxurious marble bathrooms, and elegant living quarters with a cozy fire going on winter nights. The house itself is absolutely stunning -- it is colonial meets modern so that it is comfortable, and very, very clean, while still offering you the feeling of visiting a historic part of the country. The grounds are beautiful isolated up a very long drive and on a hill, with the rolling hills bordering on local farms. Best of all, your hostess, Regine, is absolutely charming and lovely. We will definitely be returning again.
