My family stayed in this beautiful home for 6 nights and we couldn’t have loved it more. The description matched the place perfectly. There was plenty of sleeping space for 6 adults and the view from the back porch was unreal. There was plenty of water supplies which gave everyone an equal opportunity to be out in the water. Would definitely stay here again!

WOW ! What an Amazing first review! So glad you all enjoyed your time here and the puppy too. It’s so exciting to share what we love in life. Looking forward to seeing you all next year.
This was a great place to stay with pets. We really enjoyed the lake side views and and covered portion of the patio deck where we spent a good portion of our time when we were not on the lake. We also enjoyed the use of the lake provisions, especially the paddle board. The location of this home was also very convenient and close by to a lot of other major tourist spots we wanted to visit. We plan to do a return trip in the future!

Thank you for your review, so glad you enjoyed your vacation. We look forward to your next stay with us!
The view is amazing and the home is charming. The snacks and information was great. Having the bathroom on the 1st floor was something we should have considered more but they did leave a flashlight on the nightstand. The septic needs to be dealt with on this property - the host said they plan on looking into the matter. Unfortunately, wish we had known about the bacteria in the water prior to arrival. Solution is to drink bottled water and hope there’s not a flare up during your stay.

“Thanks for your feedback. Just to clarify for future guests—our drinking water is tested regularly and is completely safe. The note in our guest book is only about untreated lake water, which like any lake, isn’t meant for drinking. We’re glad you enjoyed the view, the welcome touches, and the charm of the home, and we’ll continue keeping everything well cared for.”
Warm, cozy pine interior. With large/over sized fireplace.!!! Large deck with table and outdoor furnishings ,to watch sunrise and sunsets. The water view is just lovely. We lit off sky lanterns from the dock..The kitchen has everthing foodies need for great dinners!! We were here during my moms funeral and even with all that stress , we enjoyed the amenities this home has to offer…It was the perfect sanctuary!! Thank you! Heather

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your stay, we hope to see you again! Also, want you to know that your extra efforts while you were staying does not go unnoticed. You are appreciated!
A lovely respite from the hustle & bustle of the outside world, yet conveniently located to hiking trails, grocery stores, and tourist attractions. During my 5 night stay, I was joined at various time by family and friends from various destinations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and the back deck overlooking the lake proved to be the gathering place of choice. The putting green was definitely a highlight for the golfers and non-golfers alike. The bedrooms are smallish, but the beds were comfortable. No air conditioning, but fans are provided. I should note here that sturdy railings have been added to the staircase, making the climb a bit easier. The surrounding neighborhood was very quiet and charming, We didn't spend much time inside, but there is plenty of space for folks to gather and chat, play games, watch TV, or bake a pie, if that's your thing. The kitchen is well outfitted for meal preparation...though I did have to purchase a garlic press and grater, which I was very happy to leave behind for future guests. Bottom line, I appreciated the overall trust of the owner and host..that is, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were on our own with no one looking over our shoulder and monitoring our movements. No complaints.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful lake setting, the deck, and the putting green. Your kind words about the home, kitchen, and new railings mean a lot, and we truly appreciate the thoughtful addition of the garlic press and grater for future guests. We’re happy you felt at home and hope to welcome you back soon!

Not sure how to even say all this. I was Supposed to stay 4 nights at the house, I paid for 4 nights ,there was a confusion about the check in day. I was supposed to check in on Thursday and spend 4 nights , only stayed 3 because owner wanted me to pay another night. The home is not safe for children. There are open steep stairs that lead to the bedrooms with a VERY shaky railing. THE TOP FLOOR IS OPEN AND OVERLOOKS THE DOWNSTAIRS , there are shaky loose iron rails that keep you from falling over. The outside was overgrown and lots of STUFF strewn around everywhere. There were no directions on how to operate the gas heating stoves , and 1 of them didn't work at all. A friend of the family came by in the middle of the day to drop off some fireplace tools??????????Needless to say it was not a pleasant stay. If you have small children ,this is not the rental for you.

We are sorry you were not happy with your stay. The booking you made and paid for reflects your stay of 3 nights and we have no control over that. As our welcome book states, we are only a call away if you have any questions or concerns. Both heaters were working and we certainly would have made sure you were happy and comfortable. Along with any lake floats that may have blown around the yard during your October stay and hurricane Ian’s winds. Additionally, we disclose in our ad that the open stair way is not safe or recommended for little ones. Thank you for confirming this for future guests. We do our best to let guests enjoy our cottage and certainly would not want anyone to get hurt due to the carelessness of reading the information provided.

What makes this property unique
You’ll be sitting on your own private deck on the Waters edge. Serene Harvey Lake is a very quiet, relaxing lake across the lake. You will see a flag, which marks a large rock with wooded forest behind it in which you can take a walk on the island through the woods
