The communication in the beginning was not great. They gave us the wrong code to enter the house and I tried to contact the numbers listed and they took over 15 mins to get back to me. The host didn’t apologize for the mistake and wrote a response that was condescending. Once we got into the house, we had a good stay. I would stay there again but wish the communication would have been better.
Just in town for a few days and this place was perfect for us. Would definitely stay again.

Major water leak in the restroom could not be fixed until after our stay. Cable TV was out for a day and a half smell musky from the water leak

It was unfortunate that a leak occured during your reservation. We would have never wished it on any of our guests but it was not something we could have prevented prior. A technician was sent on site to check the pudle of water from the leak within a short time but the work necessitated for us to begin after you vacate. We gave a $100 inconvenience fee and inititated the refund process of your last stay within 5 min of your call per your request. You actually decided to stay after all of the above mentioned was executed. We also had the property manager resolve your internet situation within minutes of your call about it. We did what we could do best in this situation. We feel sorry that your stay got impacted.
This space is so clean and smelled great when we first arrived. The location is also within range of so many fun activities. The only downside is the unit for rent here should not be confused for the other unit above. The Vrbo is treated as a single house split into a bottom unit and a top unit. But they both have their own entrance and are not combined at all. Just some info I figured would be nice to know. Overall, it was a beautiful clean unit. Oh, and you have free control of the heater/ac.

Misrepresented rental
Rental info is inaccurate as the site was seen as the top floor site vs rental site down poorly made and deteriorating steps with no lighting, the bed was very low to the ground and the host used to much air freshener to hide odors.

Our listing prominently features a photograph of the house’s front facade, so you can identify the house from the street. The instructions clearly states that access to the one-bedroom unit is via the carport below. Contrary to the claims in your review, our stairway is well-lit, thanks to two bright, motion-activated lights that illuminate the walkway and porch area. Additionally, the king-sized bed is depicted accurately in our photographs. We consented to refund the unused nights and repeatedly advised you to submit your cancellation promptly to qualify for a courtesy refund. However, you initiated the cancellation two days later.
Unfortunately I don't have many positive remarks about this property. I was committed to having to stay there because I had a surgery scheduled within a few days of checking in. Previous to the stay I inquired about stairs to the property; I was told there were 5. There were 10-12 all togeher and they were steep, dilapidated and dangerous with no railings. The outlet behind the bed I found was hanging instead of attached. The bed had craters on each side and low to ground...like 4 inches. There were 3 forks, 2 spoons and 2 cups. I was told that the couch pulled out to a bed. Well, I guess it did; however, it was one of those mail order couches that were hard as a 2 by 4! Impossible to sleep on! I needed an extra bed because of my surgery so my husband would not accidentally bump me. Instead we made due with pillows propped between us. It took 3 days for them to come clean trash cans and trash that had blown over in the wind. My list is longer of how horrible this place was. I did ask the owners for a partial refund and they said I should have said something at the time. Well, they already had my money and with having a major surgery, I was in no shape to move somewhere else-both monetarily and physically. So I am warning all-I would look for somewhere other than this.
