If you are looking for beauty, comfort, and a peaceful getaway with a group of friends or family, The Lighthouse has it all. With an observatory deck at the highest point in all of Port O’Connor, The Lighthouse provides the comfort of home with fun in the sun, located on the gorgeous beachfront of King Fischer Beach where you can watch dolphins swim while sipping your morning cup of coffee.

The home is beautifully furnished and has space for over 20 guests across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The newly renovated home is updated with light, clean, modern decor, but maintaining that cozy old town charm. The large kitchen/dining room combined space provides plenty of room for large family dinners and game nights. The massive gas stove and double ovens are great for cooking for your entire group!

Evenings can be spent taking a sunset walk down the pier to listen to the ocean waves with an amazing panorama of the horizon. The covered deck offers the ultimate relaxing hangout with hammock, hanging chairs, and outdoor eating area. At night when the stars are shining, head up to that observatory deck for an amazing star-studded view.

Did we mention the bunk room? (Otherwise known as Kid’s paradise?) 3 bunk beds, 2 singles, arcade games, bean bag chairs, a large TV, foosball table, and a mini kitchenette so the kids can have their own space and they can even head outside to the outdoor playground just feet from the home!

We provide everything you need for your stay including linens, towels, pans, dishes, and utensils, TVs with streaming services, a charcoal grill, and two washers and dryers.

The Lighthouse is located in the quaint town of Port O’Connor, Texas which is known as “a wonderful oasis on the Texas Gulf Coast, and long considered The Best Kept Secret on the Gulf Coast.” Port O’Connor is known world-wide for fishing, hunting, birding, kayaking and a quiet, peaceful lifestyle and is just a short drive from Victoria, Corpus Cristi and Houston.

The Lighthouse is close to Speedy Stop for groceries, Dollar General, and even some shopping at retail shops. Head over to Matorgada Island for the day or go bird watching in Nature Park at Boggy Bayou. Come to The Lighthouse for an unforgettable stay!

Wonderful!

Perfect location! We enjoyed sitting on the decks facing the water and watching the osprey eat her fresh caught fish. We had plenty of space for our whole group and had lots of fun with the game room. Beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Port O’Connor used to be a special place for my family and this was our first time to return in over two decades. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay, we hope to return someday soon.

Relaxing in Port O Conner

This was a chance to visit with many of my friends and family. April isn't the best month to try and fish the coast but much cooler weather is a welcome break. The Lighthouse is a awesome unique retreat. I will visit again!

Perfect for Large Groups

Absolutely loved this property for a big family gathering at Thanksgiving. Lots of space for everyone. Great 1st floor game room for the kids. It was great that the beach and playground were right across the street. The kitchen was well stocked and had tons of options for cooking. Lots of space to spread out. The owner responded really fast on a few small issues that we had during our stay. Really nice place and quiet town. Loved our stay.

Best place for large group in Port O'Connor

Perfect place with children. Sand beach and Fishing (Pier and Jetty 5 min away) My kids said this was the best vacation ever (arcades and their own huge room). Amazing view and relax for adults. Kitchen is amazing. Also, easy to contact to owner and very kind. This is the perfect place if you have several kids in your group. My kids already asking me to plan the next vacation plan in this house. Haha

Perfect for a large group

The house was even better than the pictures. The kitchen is huge, plenty of space for many cooks preparing meals for a large group. The beds are comfortable. The room sizes was perfect for our group of two very large families vacationing together. A few things to consider: 1. The downstairs bedroom, with all the bunk beds has doors that lead directly outside. This wasn’t an issue for us because we had college age kids sleeping there with our younger kids. If it had only been the younger kids sleeping there I might be a bit nervous. Although the neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe. 2. The beach across from the house is very calm, no waves at all. If you’re looking to kayak, SUP, fish or just build sand castles this is the beach for you. If you want waves for boogie boarding you will not find it here. We ended up driving 2.5 hours to a beach with waves. I wish we realized this in advance.

Needs Property Improvement.

The house excelled aesthetically with its furnishing and unique entertainment as well as the communication from the host. It was easy to voice the problems we had and it was very professional. However, we believe that the house itself was the deal breaker. Ambushed by mosquitoes upon arrival, we later found other pests like spiders and roaches that infested the property. These were in the bunk room where it had a moldy smell that lingered on hair and clothing a week after. The bunk room stairs are also constructed very dangerously and very unsafe for small children. Locks within the house didn’t work, and there was only 1 washer and dryer. The small refrigerator didn’t work along with that side of the kitchen. A general area bathroom would make the house better along with more seating as it couldn’t suffice a house of 24 people. The bed in the laundry room being classified as a bedroom is up to debate. This rental wasn’t the worst and had some good aspects, but the managing of the house was subpar. While the house may look good, the living component is lacking.

Loved The Lighthouse in POC!

We booked The Lighthouse for a family gathering. We were all impressed by the beautiful interior and the fully equiped kitchen. There were no surprises and no disappointments. The view from the tower is amazing at night. We star gazed up there and enjoyed a fabulous breeze while others sat on the deck watching boats go by. The kitchen island is perfect for playing games, or just sitting around visiting. Big Tv's in all the room (except one) for watching baseball playoffs!! You do have to sign in to your own streaming service but that wasn't an issue. The place was clean and had plenty of toiletries, towels, and linens. Everyone enjoyed their stay and had no complaints. Tĥe property manager, Emma, was very accommodating and answered emails promptly. She was very clear in her explainations and left no guessing of how to enter the rental or where everything was inside the home. She is very detail oriented which made the process so easy. Emma was also very kind and welcoming in her emails. We had some very tall men in our group so we had to shuffle the sleeping situation around a little because they didnt fit well on the bunks but it all worked out fine! Sleeping 28 there could be tight fit if all adult guests. You'd really have to like each other a lot as all the bathrooms are in bedrooms so it could potentially get tricky. We absolutely recommend The Lighthouse when visiting Port O'Connor.
