Our property is located 5 minutes from the entrance of the Sequoia National Park right on the Kaweah river. In front of the house is a secluded beach with a calm swimming hole—perfect for families to spend the day soaking up the sun. The deck surrounds the house on two sides with amazing views of the garden and the river. After a long day at the park, use the grill and the fully stocked kitchen to prepare a feast for the whole family, then sit in the hot tub and relax for the rest of the evening.
Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of the guest house and the patio area in front of the guest house.
Please note the beach and the lawn area are shared with the owners or guests from the main house. If you’d like to book the entire property (main house+guest house), that is a separate listing. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to do so and are having trouble finding the listing.
We may be in the guest house during your stay and will be able to help with anything that you might need during your stay. If not, we are just a quick message or phone call away.
Our home is located in the heart of Three Rivers right on the Kaweah river. Three Rivers is the gateway town to Sequoia National Park. It is a charming community of artists naturalists with a population of only 2,700 people. On your drive up from the central valley town of Exeter, you will pass iconic Lake Kaweah and begin to see the transition from desert to mountain landscape. Once you are in Three Rivers, you'll see the river flowing fast down from the mountains. The few shops, restaurants and eateries create the perfect vibe for a small town getaway in the foothills of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains.
You'll need a car in Three Rivers as there is no public transportation. There are shuttles within the park, but to get to the park, you will need a car.

The house was perfect. So many nice accommodations to enjoy the river, floaties, umbrellas, lounge chairs. It was great. The house was VERY comfortable, mattresses were great, kitchen had a ton of supplies and spices! And plenty of towels in bathrooms. We would rent the house again. If I’m being super picky, some of the shower heads needed updating, water flow was limited in some bathrooms and we found out during check in process that we might be sharing the property space with other renters. Thankfully it never became an issue.
If you like feces water raining from the ceiling in the main room, all over you, some of your things, the couch and the floor, then this is the place for you. That is exactly what happened, and I doubt for the first time. (Further, I have no reason to have faith that a proper cleanup followed our leaving.) We even tried to help the owner -- putting down containers everywhere to catch the water, talking to the plumbers, etc. And yet, when we requested a partial refund for our stay, he refused to engage directly -- he said, "Let's let VRBO work it out," even though VRBO will come right back to him for approval (and he could have approved directly to me).
Also, the description is not at all clear as to the fact that you could have some other random family staying on the property -- and we did, and could hear them loudly and clearly through the shared wall.
Lastly: I understand that this owner has other properties in the area (which area is lovely, by the way, and the people all around are great). But, I would never in a million years rent from this owner again.
