About Sue Hartman

We purchased this condo after visiting the island from the cold Northeast and falling in love with all it had to offer. It's proximity to both manmade (restaurants, golf, shopping etc.) and it's natural properties (the ocean, fishing, nature walks etc.), something new and exciting to see every day. We actually purchased the condo we were renting. It just seemed perfect for location and amenities. Besides our own children, we really want to share it and have new visitors fall in love with St. Simons Island in Georgia.

Sue Hartman purchased this condo in 2009

Why Sue Hartman chose Coastal

After spending time in North and South Carolina I wanted to explore the coasts of Georgia and Alabama. I knew I wanted to be near the ocean. I opened a map, did some research on the islands of Georgia and read the reviews. Once we visited this condo at Ocean Walk we looked no further. The condo is fully equipped with nobody above you or beside you. We have nice neighbors across the hall and just the one unit in the rear with a common wall. The complex offers a heated pool which is very nice in March and April with a 2nd and kiddie pool to avoid overcrowding. I can totally relax in this condo with everything I need.

What makes this condo unique

I really don't need to use my car if I don't want to. I can bicycle all over the island, walk to the Village for dining, fishing and shopping. While I'm here people are so friendly and want to share what they have already discovered. Yet within a very short drive there are grocery stores, cinemas, playhouses etc.

It was a great way to spend the 4th of July! The condo was clean and nicely decorated with close proximity to both the beach and the Pier! We had a very relaxing vacation and would definitely return!

This home was very comfortable and definitely met our needs. We used the pool everyday. We enjoyed being able to walk to town and being very close to the beach.

Perfect location! Clean! Cozy! All the comforts of home! Comfortable beds!

  • 5 of 5

My family just returned from a week at St. Simon's. We absolutely loved this condo. We had no issues at all. Sue was wonderful, contacted us quickly and made everything super easy. The condo was clean and VERY well stocked. We had everything we needed and more. The condo complex as a whole is clean and well maintained. It was quiet and peaceful the entire week. We had plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 kids.

The location of this condo is the best part. We were a very short drive or bike ride/walk away from the St. Simon's pier. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the pier. We were close to East Beach and spent one day there. We were close to Jekyll Island (30 minutes away) and spent one day there on driftwood beach and the fishing pier. We were also just a short drive (10-15 minutes)away from Brunswick which has tons of restaurants and stores. That's where we prefer to do our shopping and buy groceries. There's a Walmart, Target, grocery stores, and a mall. Shopping of any kind is much more expensive on St. Simon's.

We enjoyed cooking in the condo. Sue has the kitchen stocked with anything you could possibly need. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Plenty of sheets, towels, blankets. There are two pool areas inside of the condo complex to choose from. Both are a very short walk. The closest is a small pool with a volleyball net and kiddie pool. It was very clean and nice. The other pool area has one huge pool. It was wonderful. We spent more time there. Also very clean and quiet. Both pool areas have bathrooms and grills. My kids enjoyed the tree swings swings that are randomly placed around the complex. The fishing pond was right outside of our condo. We didn't catch any fish, but it was fun trying. Tennis courts are also right in front of the condo. There are 2 basketball nets hanging inside there as well. All were nice and well maintained. Take your own basketball. Gym was nice. We worked out a couple of times.

We ate at Iguanas Seafood right by the pier on SSI. Enjoyed it as always. Amazing shrimp and yummy free ice cream with each meal. We tried B&J's seafood in Darien as well. We weren't impressed.

Overall we had a wonderful vacation and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this condo. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and can't wait to go back. The whole complex is cozy and quiet, nestled under the huge oak trees that are draped with Spanish moss. It's convenient to everything in the area and the condo itself was perfect.

An absolutely perfect vacation location!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time to St. Simon's Island and it won't be our last. We will be heading right back to this condo unit next summer. It is perfectly located and well appointed. It's a short walk to the village where there's lots of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and a ton of island fun. It's exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and decorated with an island theme. We felt right at home. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and just about everything you will need. It has a great pool or if you prefer, gorgeous beaches a mile away. The deck houses beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and everything you need for a day at the beach. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is quite inviting. It's an excellent value and a true island gem!

Best Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

This was my favorite vacation in recent memory. The unit was very clean and home-like! It has everything you would need for a time at the beach--even floats, skim boards and chairs. We really appreciated the washer and dryer being in a separate room, which kept the noise down. The 3rd bedroom gives that extra room for 3 kids. We enjoyed walking/running/biking around the neighborhood each morning and going to the beach often. This is the best-kept condo complex in the area and it's location is great, too. This unit is in a very quiet area of the complex, and we never heard noise from any adjoining units. The neighbors across the hall were very nice, as were the other guests we met at the pool.

Jekyll Island is a historical island, nice beaches, and a water park for kids.

Savannah is 1 hr. north and also a historical site yet a very contemporary city.

Cumberland Island about 75 minutes south is accessible by Ferry only, great natural island with horses and wildlife. This is a walking tour through the tropical wilderness of the island and sandy dunes to the ocean.
