The magnificent waterfront Three Iguanas Villa is located in the most tranquil area of Placencia Village and just 300 yards from the beach . The villa is upscale and loaded with special features exuding casual luxury - a turret with the 3 iguanas mural as you enter, many varieties of tropical trees and plants, ceramic tile and tropical hardwoods throughout, lots of comfortable lounge chairs, custom-designed upscale bathrooms, AC, marvelous mattresses, combination safes and kitchen/kitchenettes in each suite, a private dock on the water and to top it off – a roof-top terrace and plunge pool! Room rates are different for high and low season. High season: 1 Dec - 30 June. Low season 1 July - 30 Nov. Peak rate for Holiday period 18 Dec - 2 Jan (inclusive): additional $25 per night on top of high season price.

The 1st (ground) floor "Garden Suite" has two bedrooms, one with small kitchenette area (with small fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and 2 burner electric hob), with shared, adjoining private bathroom. Both bedrooms have two twin beds convertible to a king with posture mattress. There is a/c in both bedrooms. One room has a safety deposit box. High Season: $175. Low Season $150. There is an additional 9% hotel tax and 3% service fee.

This is a perfect suite for a small group of friends or a family of 4.

Guests have access to the roof-top terrace and plunge pool, dock, single kayak, thatched palapa and bicycles.

The property is amazing! Sunset from the rooftop pool is fantastic! The hosts are amazing and super helpfull with everything you need! The bbq amd food next door was to die for! When we come back will definitely stay here again! Thank you for the best stay of the vaction!

Great place!

Lots of great places within easy walking distance. Suite was very clean. Annelise was easy and great to deal with. The tour that she organized for us was also wonderful, saw sea turtles, nurse sharks, rayes and DOLFINS!!

A friendly, complete experience.

There are many places to stay in Placencia but no others come with the friendliness of Annalise and Doyle. Housing, diving, birding, shuttle, and dining are all taken care of by the hosts. It’s no wonder guests continue to come back year after year.

Best Villa in Placencia!

Had a fabulous stay at the Three Iguanas Villa in Placencia Belize. Top Notch! Great swimming in the Canal. A Five minute walk to the beach. Grab a bike and cycle into the village for a terrific meal and a Belikin beer! Will definitely return!

We hit the Jackpot!!!!

Annelise and Doyle are absolutely fabulous hosts!!! A beautiful place to stay!!! The accomodations are roomy with lots of storage and all the equipment to do your own cooking. Any issues are promptly resolved by Annelise. Annelise was also very helpful with information about Placencia and the best places to eat and enjoy refreshments. She also helped us by referring transfers and car rentals. Doyle runs his Smoke Yaad next door where we enjoyed the best lobster dinner we have ever had!!!!!!! I would rate 3 Iguanas as a 10 if I could!!!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The listing was very accurate. It is in a calm/quiet area of Placencia, but easily walkable to everything in town. The host was very communicative. We had a 5 year old with us, and he really enjoyed the grounds/pool area too!

Nice house, great location in Placencia

We had a good time in the 3 iguanas house and Annelise was super helpful and quickly answered all our questions. We felt welcome here. The view from the swimming pool (pretty small but a good way to cool down) was awesome. There is air con in the rooms which we appreciated. We could borrow bikes which was the perfect way to go shopping and visit Placencia.

Quiet little place

The location was perfect! We were close to the village, and within easy walking distance to a store, the bank, and a good bar/restaurant with live music. The lagoon was was nice to sit by and relax in the breeze. Annalise was an accommodating host and was there to help us immediately, weather it be with directions or more TP! 4 women stayed there without any space problems!

Waterside tranquility- YES!

We had a wonderful stay and Annelise was an exceptional host. We were staying through the Easter holiday and with all of the hustle and bustle in Placencia this truly was our tranquil, waterside escape from it all. The pool was a lovely, cool dip and our favorite area to catch the sunset. I so appreciated that there were multiple places to hang out on either side of the house. You could easily catch more rays or escape the sun and spend all of your time outside! My only thought on how our stay could be improved is if there were a small fridge in the adjoining unit- somehow the beer in the fridge where our friends were sleeping kept disappearing! All in all, our stay was amazing and I would love to spend another holiday here with Annelise.

A great way to end our adventures in Belize. Annelise was great, had great info on local restaurants and tours. DTours and Doyle's Uncle KG gave us a day to remember at Silk Quay. We had a great time. The rooms were big, everything you need or want. The property was quiet and we enjoyed to the rooftop pool and sitting by the canal. Thanks Annelise for everything we really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect stay for a family or group of friends

We stayed at Three Iguanas Feb/2016 for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood at the edge of Placencia village. There are only 2 streets with a waterfront docks and Three Iguana is on one of them. Three Iguanas is a beautiful, modern, 3 storey house. Owners live on the second floor while renting out 1st floor and a suite on the 3rd floor. The house itself is very conveniently located. It takes only 5 minutes walking to the beach bar or a restaurant like Barefoot or Tipsy Tuna. Only 3 minutes to the grocery store. 3 minutes to the bank/ATM. Only 4 minutes to the pristine, beautiful, white sandy beach. We like that the house is not in the center of the village as it is peaceful and quiet there during the evening, so you can relax with a favorite book while gazing on the water from the dock. We also enjoyed swimming right off the dock. Annelise is the new owner of Three Iguanas and the friendliest, most kind host we have ever encountered. Annelise and Doyle live in the house on the second floor and were always available if we needed anything. Annelise even loaned us a phone so we could contact her at any time - she always responded immediately! They were so gracious , they invited us for a home cooked dinner on the night of our arrival and my daughter said that Doyle makes the best BBQ chicken she had ever had :-) Because of some changes in our travel plan, we arrived to Placencia 2 days earlier. Luckily Three Iguanas had first floor studio available for those two nights, however with only a queen bed in it. As there are 3 of us, Annelise bought !!!! the futon bed, so our child had a bed to sleep on. We stayed in a two bedroom suite for another 5 days and loved it as much as our smaller studio. All rooms are spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and with very comfortable beds and squeaky clean bed sheets and towels. Overall, we had an amazing, unforgettable stay at Three Iguanas thanks to Annelise and Doyle our gracious hosts. If you're lucky, Doyle will climb a tree and cut you a fresh coconut to drink! We plan to go back to Placencia and when we do, we want to stay at Three Iguanas again as our stay was perfect in all the possible ways. Thank you Annelise and Doyle for making our stay an amazing experience. You made us feel so much welcomed and

what a beautiful place to spend our 20th anniversary...accommodations were clean and the property manager Stefano was there to answer any of our questions upon request...we will definitely be returning in the future to the beautiful village of Placencia and the amazing property of the Three Iguanas!

Great place, and wonderful location!

We chose to stay at 3 iguanas for a second time due to the comfort of the home, the location, and Stefano( property manager) and Sofia ( on site worker). The home is very comfortable, and the 3rd floor pool is fabulous...great sunsets up there! The location is a nice walk or bike ride to town. The beach is a short walk across the road( though this time the beach had tons of seagrass and it was hard to get in the water). We only wish there had been a double Kayak, or 2 singles ( there is one single). We highly recommend 3 iguanas for a laid back place to unwind in Placencia!

A great place to stay in Placencia

My wife and I have rented the Three Iguanas with a large family group and it was a wonderful place. Very finely furnished second floor with large bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen. The third floor has wonderful views and a plunge pool to relax in when it gets hot. The views of the distant Maya mountains to the west are breathtaking. We travel to Placencia on a regular basis and we always try to stay in the third floor suite with the pool and views. Stefano who managed the property is a great host and has always taken care of us when we visit. We will be back!

Welcome to paradise

Highly recommended villa, a perfectly situated place in the heart of Placencia. The landlord and property manager were most hospitable and helpful and provided numerous excellent recommendations for dining and area activities. While we ate most meals out, the villa was completely equipped for full meal preparation and the air conditioning was very much an added bonus. We highly recommend renting a golf cart for transportation as they allow for much greater coverage than on foot.

We rented the entire house for the 9 days we were there and had a wonderful vacation! Loved riding the bikes down to the village, great snorkeling in areas close by, taking some drives in our car to visit ruins and go cave tubing.....this was an amazing trip for us! This was our fourth time to a Central American country and I must say Belize is a favorite! Stefano was very helpful and Sofia also. The house was perfect for us!

Recipe for a great vacation!

Mix together the Three Iguanas, Stefano the property manager, Sophia the housekeeper and Placencia, a village in Belize. Sit back, relax and enjoy! Four of us stayed at the Three Iguanas Villa in Placencia for a couple of weeks. Belize is not the easiest country to get to but is well worth the effort and is not overrun with tourists. We arrived at the villa on a Friday evening, hot and tired! We were greeted by Stefano, the property manager, who showed us around the villa and then explained in great detail the best places in Placencia to shop, dine, get tours from as well as the best beaches to relax on. The villa is situated on the outskirts of Placencia and is in easy walking distance of the beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and the ice cream parlor. The location makes the villa quite private and almost secluded. It is a large villa comprised of three floors that can be rented individually, two at a time or as a complete holiday home. We rented the main floor and the upper floor. The main floor is well equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, an area to relax while conversing with the person doing the cooking, a dining area and a living 'room' with comfortable couches, a TV and a collection of books and magazines. There is also a very large deck on which one can sit and enjoy morning coffee as the sun rises or have a lazy lunch or, just hang out on. The upper floor is smaller and well appointed. On the roof is a sunning area and a splash pool. The garden is neat and tidy and equipped with a Palapa (an open sided palm thatched-roof structure sometimes referred to as a grass or Tiki hut) under which you can relax in the shade and read a good book. The far end of the garden is a mooring dock on the short canal that runs into the lagoon. This is a perfect spot for a quick swim to cool off or to enjoy your morning exercise swim. We saw Stefano just about every day and he was very attentive to our needs and was always looking for ways to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We met Sophia several times and she did our laundry, changed the sheets on the beds and did a quick clean up several times during our stay. The villa is equipped with bicycles for the use of the quests. We preferred to walk everywhere and immerse ourselves in the culture of the peninsula. Good Family Times

I rented this house with my two sisters and their husbands for the second week of a two week Belize Vacation. We all just loved the Three Iguana's, not only the ones on the mural, but the ones that kept us company on the dock in front of the house. Stephano the caretaker was always available, warm and friendly, and full of good advice about guides, eating places etc. Sofia, was also warm and gracious, a fabulous cook, (she cooked for us one night, it was awesome) and I would recommend if you stay, have her prepare you a meal. House had everything you need, was comfortable, well appointed, and just perfect. We also loved the area, and would love to go back.

Great Stay Here

We enjoyed our stay at the Three Iguanas Villa. We rented the second floor for five nights with two couples. The house was very spacious and clean. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay--cooking utensils, wine glasses, blender, bottle opener, can opener, bath towels, beach towels, coffee pot, pitchers, room safe, etc. I will say the house needs a little TLC and/or a little sprucing up. We had good hot shower with plenty of water pressure. The beds were very comfortable. My only complaint about the bedrooms was there were only very light shades for the windows. Lots of light coming in from outside security night lights and morning sunlight. If you are like me and need it dark to sleep--bring a pair of eye blinders/sleep mask. Also the A/C unit in our bedroom was very noisy for the first hour or so & then turned to a dull hum. The location was great!! Right on the lagoon with a dock. You could swim in the lagoon but we did not. Less than one mile walk to the end of the village and about 2 or 3 blocks to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, markets, stores, tour guides, & trinket shops all within walking distance. We were far enough away to not hear all the noises from the bars at night. We felt very safe at this location. We had some blended rum drinks up on the third story pool area one night and watched the sunset. It was pretty neat. Stefano greeted us at our arrival and gave us a wealth of information about the area. He gave us suggestions for food & tour guides. He was around just about every day. We did all our own house cleaning. We did not see or meet Sofia until our last day. She was very pleasant. Placencia Village is a pretty rustic place-most of the people that live here are very poor (but friendly). The houses along the lagoons are some of the nicer places to stay. If we were to ever come back, I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
