Experience a lake getaway out of this world when you stay at this lower-level beachfront condo on Lake Michigan! You will have the ability to walk out to the beach from the deck. Additionally, the deck will be the perfect spot to admire sunsets and wonderful lake views while dining alfresco. The carpeted living room features a wood-burning fireplace, a flatscreen TV with cable, and a sleeper sofa. The nearby dining area has enough space for six lucky guests and also offers unparalleled lake views. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious homemade meals for the group. The main bedroom has a spacious and comfortable bed and a newly remodeled en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two beds and access to the second full bathroom in the hallway.

Please note that this property does not have A/C.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Pretty spot BUT...

This unit is in the perfect spot BUT primary comfort is lacking. Kitchen and Master bath remodeled but rest of the unit is outdated. Master Bedroom mattress is old and stained, Pillows are old and stained . Extra pillows are also in the same condition ( the other bedroom is also in the same condition). We have stayed at other units and this was not an issue. Fireplace is hazardous, doors are broken. *THE AMOUNT I PAID PER NIGHT*I excepted better. The decor is nice (Kitchen only), view is pretty but primary comfort should be the first thing to update. I don't leave reviews but this was disappointing & gross . This is a easy fix. I ended up buying my own pillows and clean sheets.

Ideal Beach Vacation

This is a great location in the Homestead Resort. We absolutely loved being able to walk easily to the beach during the day and watching the sun set from our own covered porch. Very comfortable for our family of four.

Needs updating

Had a few days of bad weather so we stayed in the unit more, which made all its small issues bigger. Main TV is ridiculously small for the distance the coach is only made worse by all the empty wall around. Coach is not at all supportive. Recliner is comfortable but well lived in no padding left in arms. Coffee maker takes 30 min to brew a couple cups of coffee. Master bed starting to lose support between couch and bed back acted up and spent 1 night on the twin bed in other room. Bathroom reno is nice but they didn't put hooks back up so no where to hang a robe. And probably should clean paint off till floor. Been doing homestead for decades love Southbeach 55 location but think next year we will look for a more updated place, especially with price hick from new management.

Cozy Fall Color Weekend

The property was exactly as described. It was very clean and exactly as expected. The fees were a bit higher than I expected, but all in all worth the value.

Does not disappoint!

The fact that the private beach was right in front of the condo, with an unobstructed view of the water makes this property quite special. The picture windows in the living room and dining room extend the beach feel inside as well. This property is well kept and well stocked. The short trip into Glen Arbor was also a plus. We would definitely plan another stay here again if we get the opportunity.

Location, location.

Great location, 200 ft. from Lake Michigan. Nice kitchen, and deck. From the deck,viewed an eagle, and a red fox. Nice place to stay and relax, with good access to the Leelanau penninsula.

Cousin Camp week

We stayed at South Beach last summer and we loved it so that we booked another week this year. This summer we were on the first floor so access to the beach was right out the door and down the boardwalk. Also, helpful and very useful was the extra patio space. So much to do in Glen Arbor - we adore this little gem.
