WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU TO VILLA PANORAMICA . WE FEEL WE ARE NOW READY TO ENTERTAIN OUR GUESTS AGAIN AND HAVE LOWERED OUR PRICES CONSIDERABLY.
Situated in a prominent and elevated position, just above the delightful village of Argegno, on the western shores of Lake Como, you will enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views of Bellagio, Comacina Island and the 'Balbianello' promontory (DO NOT miss a visit to the Villa Balbianello during your stay.)

We've called it VILLA PANORAMICA for a reason!!

Located on the top floor of a small new house, built in the grounds of an 18th century villa, it is completely self contained and although only minutes walk to the village, is very secluded.

Everything here is new, but fits in perfectly with the style of the houses built along the lake and in the mountains over the last centuries,with wood beam ceilings, ceramic floors throughout and Italian tiles in the kitchen, and bathrooms. (High chair and crib for small children are available.
6 people can sleep here comfortably and lucky who sleeps in the sofa bed, you will wake up to stunning views of the sunrise over the mountains across the lake.
The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are seperated from the living area by a sliding glass door. There is a TV in each bedroom.

The bedrooms are large and comfortable, with spacious mirrored closets, one has an en-suite bathroom and the other has the other bathroom, with jacuzzi tub, right outside the door.There is satelite TV, DVD, surround music system and a variety of CDs and DVDs for you to enjoy, while relaxing and taking in the views.


Ideal for all types of holiday, winter and summer and for short weekend breaks and business trips.

Of course, there are many vacation rental apartments all around Lake Como, this is NOT a vacaation rental, it is our apartment, created and furnished to be used year round and we take advantage of it ourselves, when we can. Although we live only 10 minutes drive away in the hills, we find it so relaxing here, just sitting on the terrace watching local life carry on in the village and on the lake.
Argegno is in an excellent stratigic position. It is easy to reach all the other towns on the lake by ferry, bus and car, you couldn't aske for a more convenient point.

'Villa Panoramica' is only a 15 minute drive away from Cernobbio, the world famous hotel Villa D'este and the famous Villa Erba, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held, the City of Como is a 20 minute drive away and of course Como is the silk capital of Italy, so there are many silk and textile factory outlets and shops in the town of Como.Milan is 50 kms, 1 hours drive, so it is also ideal for combining a holiday with the world famous 'Monza Grand Prix', or any other sporting or business events which you may wish to attend in Milan.

All travel information will be provided to guests enquiring about the apartment, as will a welcome book (provided in the apartment) with the local tours and suggested walking itineries in the area, local information and suggested boat trips.

It is also five minutes drive away from the 'Villa Oleandra' the villa acquired from the Heinz family by George Clooney, and George has been spotted in Argegno often mixing with the local people.

The Villa Fontanella, once inhabited by Gianni Versacci is 10 minutes drive away.

Villa Panoramica is also ideal for those who do not want to be troubled with driving in Italy. The local bus stops directly below the villa and so does the local boat. There is also a public bus service from Milan Malpensa airport and Como is also well served by the international train service. We can also offer an excellent English speaking taxi driver service, which is available on request. Switzerland is also a short drive away, 45 minutes by car,in fact, Argegno sits at the foot of the 'valle Intelvi' a beautiful open valley which links Lake Como to Lake Lugano in Switzerland where you can find the City of Lugano, Campione D'italia, with it's famous 'Casino' and lovely lake front walk.The famous 'Jet set resort of St. Moritz is a two hour drive away.

The location is absolutely perfect and the view is incredible. We couldn’t have asked for better. Communication with the owners also was great. They were kind and easy to communicate with. My only issue was with the fact that one of the bathrooms only has a bathtub with no shower box. To bathe without flooding the bathroom we had to sit in the tub. That was a surprise. I’d recommend this place again, but considering the bathtub, it would be great for family with kids.

Family First Visit to Lake Como, Italy

Silvianna & her husband were amazing hosts! The view is simply spectacular & we tried to eat as many meals as possible on the deck! We fell In love with the town of Argegno so small, down to earth people, great restaurants & easy access to the ferries! Was hard to leave their home, hospitality & view! The views from the patio of Lake Como is unbelievable. Overall this place was very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay in Argegno and easy access to the town. Silvana was great to work with and stopped in to make sure everything was ok. Couldn't ask for a better experience!! Would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location

A large comfortable terrace provide panoramic views of lake Como! I cannot say enough about how beautiful it is. The house is comfortable, clean and well appointed. It feels much bigger, than the photos and the description. The kitchen and bathrooms were great. Really...we can't say enough. Argegno is a good base to visit the other towns on the lake. We really loved this place and will absolutely return.

Great spot close to the ferry.

We had a very nice stay in this well located home. It is close to the ferry landing so you can hop on the ferry and visit other towns on the lake. The deck is amazing with great views. The town has a couple of fantastic restaurants. If you decide to stay be sure to bring soap and shampoo. Also, if you drive a car, parking is limited for a larger car. There is a parking spot at the bottom of the drive that works if it’s available. You’ll love this place!

Villa Panoramica

The location of this property is exceptional. The views of Lake Como and proximity to the charming town of Argegno are amazing. Our host was always prompt and helpful with every question or need. A few things should be noted on the property description: like many hillside residences, this property was very difficult to find driving on our own and involved some frightening hair pin turns. The house is well equipped with a veranda that is very spacious with many furniture/seating options. The second bedroom does not have an actual bed but has a type of sofa/futon which opens to a bed. It was adequate for children perhaps, but uncomfortable for adults. There were extra pillows in the armoire, but no extra pillow cases to cover them. All in all, however, the four of us enjoyed every minute of our stay and were grateful for our host's quick response and attentiveness to our questions.

Incredible Views

Absolute paradise!!! Incredible views of Lake Como from the wrap around patio. Beautiful accommodation. Bed was comfortable, lots of room. Laundry machine worked and came with easy to follow instructions. It was as advertised. Used the English speaking taxi driver. He was excellent and I highly recommend taking advantage of using him. The owner is always available by text and is prompt with replies. It truly is a slice of heaven. Be aware the street below is on a hill and the vehicle noise, especially motorcycles were loud when sitting on the patio. They could not be heard from the bedroom though.

We enjoyed this unit for 7 nights in September 2025. The photos of the unit accurately depict its interior. However, the photos of the view from the terrace do not do it justice. The view is truly spectacular. I know that you can pay much much more for a unit on Lake Como which would not have half as nice of a view of the lake. We did not have a car during our visit, but we were able to use the ferry system each day to visit Bellagio, Menagio and Varena (our favorite) without any problem. I am 74 years old, so I was concerned about the steep walk down to the town center and ferry dock. The walk down was pleasant, but the walk back up did require me to rest a couple of times. Just before leaving on our vacation, my wife (77 years old) suffered a mobility problem, so not even the walk down was possible for her. The host family rescued our vacation, as they also operate a small livery service, which they made available to us each day for a very reasonable fee, enabling us to access the town and the ferry system. They could not have been more accommodating, answering all of our many questions prior to our arrival, as well as helping us with whatever needs we had during our visit. If Lake Como is on your bucket list, this unit is the one to rent.

Lake Como stay

The property was just like it was advertised. The view was amazing. The beautiful view did come with a pretty steep walk up from town. If you do not have a car which we did not you need to be able to walk up hills to get back to place after dining in town, shopping or taking bus and ferry. We are in our 60’s and didnt have an issue. Loved the deck. It was so large and had plenty of furniture. The house was clean and equipped with everything you would need. The town was a lovely quiet spot to come back to after all the busy towns in lake como. We used the bus and ferry to get around but you have to get good at using the apps and schedules for times. We maybe would have been better with a small car. The video Silvia puts on you tube was excellent and help our cab driver get us to the right spot for drop off. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would come back for sure.

Best view in town!

We stayed for about 5 days last week and had a wonderful time. The walk up to the house is about 10 minutes from the ferry and piazza. It is an uphill climb but worth it. The house is exactly how it looks on line and the view is even more magnificent than the photos show. We cooked and ate dinner there a few nights because no restaurant could come close to the view from the patio. We were 5 adults and had enough room and privacy. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Silvana was so wonderful. My luggage did not arrive from the airport for almost 4 days and she contacted them for me and really helped me out. She also offered to have any packages delivered to her home that she would bring to me in case my luggage never arrived. Silvana was also able to arrange a car service for us to our next location in Bormio. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Villa Panoramica and Argegno!

Lovely apartment and Spectacular view

We were fortunate on our arrival to have run into a friend of our property manager who led us to the gate, since it is uphill from the street and not visible from the road. We had some trouble opening the lock box to get the house key, and decided that our car could only be parked down the hill on the main road, since it was too large for the space provided. Once inside, all was well and Silvana (the owner) left a binder of notes regarding anything you could possibly want to know. She also was available by phone when we needed some help using the washing machine. Argegno is a charming small town but it's a long hilly walk from the house and only has a tiny market. We needed the car to do a larger shopping and used it to go into town, paying for parking in the lot near the church. We enjoyed good meals at the local piazza. The man at the ferry station was helpful when we needed help understanding the schedule. Driving in the area is difficult on narrow winding streets and parking is also a challenge when you venture into other towns for sight seeing. Silvana happened to come by as we were departing and her husband assisted us with our luggage. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Comfortable apartment with 180 Lake Como views!

The patio and views at Silvana’s place are beyond belief! Just as shown- you have many places to lounge and watch the ferries and fishing boats come and go. We are two retired couples and there was plenty of room for us for our 6 night stay. Silvana is so lovely, very receptive and easy to work with. The kitchen had what you needed, but Argegno had so many good restaurants that we only cooked breakfast and made snacks. There is a cobblestone walkway into the village which we walked daily. The ferry is right there to take you to the other lake towns and villas you might want to explore. We all have knee or back issues so bought tickets on the bus which comes up the hill. Silvana can explain the bus schedules but the shop that sells tickets has short hours so you need to memorize those if you don’t want to walk the hill. This is not a tourist town so no souvenir shops which I appreciated but the best gelato ever! Do be aware that if two couples are traveling, as with many rentals, the bedrooms are not equal. One is quite dark for sleeping, with twin beds. The larger bedroom has a view. I highly recommend this rental and this charming town!

This beautiful home was our base for 4 nights over Easter Weekend 2009. The apartment is stunning. It is bright and airy with beautiful high vaulted ceilings and we spent every waking minute admiring the sweeping 200 degree views of Lago Di Como. The house comes with a desk-top with hi-speed internet and a flat screen Sony with British satellite TV. It is an easy and gorgeous 5 minute walk down to the village center of Argegno. Argegno is beautiful, friendly and convenient. You have everything you need here: La Piazzeta for amazing food, Zoe's for excellent gelato (both face the fountain in the quaint waterfront piazza and have really friendly owners and staff), a drugstore and the Argegno ferry landing, where you can catch boats to every village on Lake Como. Silvana, who owns and manages the property, is wonderful. She is honest and friendly and speaks native English (she was born in Britain). She has stocked the house with lots of local guidebooks and literature. Her rental policies are a welcome relief from the nonsense you get from many European properties; you pay her the agreed rate and that includes everything. There is absolutely no nickel and dime nonsense. Mind you, this is in a market where some owners take a meter reading and charge you for utilities!! We ate at George Clooney's favorite restaurant (Il Gatto Nero in Cernobbio) and visited Bellagio and Tremezzo. There were great, but our favorite moments of this visit were spent sitting on the balcony of this perfect Villa...

Comfort and stunning views

A very comfortable apartment with everything you need, and an amazing view that has to be seen to be believed. Others have mentioned the steep climb up from the town centre and the traffic noise, but we quickly got used to both. Take a small car if you want to use the parking space!

Fantastic service and apartment

The apartment was even better in real life, the photos don’t do the apartment and the balcony justice. The kitchen is very well equipped. The views and proximity to Argengno are fantastic for a short stay. The only downside is the noise from the traffic, at times it is extremely noisy and not very relaxing. Elena and Silvana are wonderful responsive hosts. Thank you.

Absolutely spectacular

We stayed here for close to two weeks over Christmas and New Years and it was a little slice of paradise. The apartment is even nicer than the pictures suggest with a view that is unforgettable. The apartment is very well appointed and Silvana was brilliant to work with before and during our stay. There is a walk uphill from the town but it took only 10 minutes up and 5 or less on the way down. Argegno is a charming village - big enough for regular bus and ferry service but not touristy. We enjoyed a great meal at La P'Osteria and several cafes in town but did eat at home often - and used the BBQ which was a treat for my husband - as we had a young child who was not always up for late night meals. We can't recommend this spot highly enough and hope to come back again - soon!

We live 10 minutes drive from the apartment, which we bought because we fell in love with the views from the terrace, everytime we come to the apartment to make sure all is OK, we breathe a sigh........ it's so beautifull, you could never be tired of seeing what we see from there.
We think we have offered our guests a good service in the past, lots of information and help organising boat rental and special trips.

The pure magic, the 125 sq, meter terrace with un obstructed lake views, the comodity of not needing to have a car, the town of Argegno is so convenient for everything and not over 'touristy', it will feel like home, I promise!!

Apart from the views, the convenience of being 5 minutes walk from one of the busiest little towns on the lake, where all the ferries stop, there are lots of restaurants and cafes, in the apartment we have air-con, heating, satelite TV,a full kitchen and WIFI, included in the rental price.
