Gorgeous Oceanfront Studio Condo- 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3)

New owner recently completely remodeled oceanfront studio with picturesque views of Tillamook Head to the Long Beach Peninsula! Located at the North end of the 'Prom', just 50 feet from the beautiful beach. At night you can see the lighthouse on the Long Beach Peninsula. If you like to watch movies in your room while at the beach, then this condo is for you; with a 42-inch flat screen HDTV, Blue-ray player, Digital Cable with HBO West & Family. A Queen memory mattress is featured for a extremely restful nights sleep. The kitchen boasts all utensils, dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, glass stove top/burners, fridge, coffee, tea and condiments. There is an additional sleeping mat that folds out into a 2nd single bed. There are games and books provided to keep you entertained as well. All bed linens and towels are provided for you as well as free high speed WiFi in the unit, and free unlimited use passes are provided to the Olympic pool, Therapy pool, Hot tube, and Fitness center located about a mile from the property. If you like to BBQ, there is an infrared propane BBQ in the commons area as well as an outdoor kitchen, tables, and chairs for our guests to use. This is a non-smoking condo (there is a designated smoking area onsite) that sleeps 1-3 persons, and is pet friendly- Pet fees are $20.00 one pet 1st night, and $30.00 for two pets- $10/$15 additional nights. Rates are double occupancy, additional persons are $8 per night each.

Lots of activities are located within walking distance: Kite flying, whale watching, seal watching, pelican watching, beach combing, clamming, crabbing, fishing, bike/surrey rental, aquarium, outlet mall, grocery store, public laundry facility, public park, swings on the beach, dining, cinema, historical museum, tilt a whirl, mini train rides, merry go round, bumper cars, paddle boats, bumper boats, antiquing, hiking, bird watching, wildlife viewing. There are also several golf courses located just a short drive away as well as helicopter rides, bowling, Astoria Maritime Museum, Astoria Aquatic Center, The Astoria Column and the floating Astoria bridge.

We Love the Oregon Coast and recently also purchased and renovated #210 at the same property.

What makes this studio unique

Well being the owners of a cat and a dog we decided to make the unit pet friendly. It's always, nice to be able to stay with pets somewhere. The incredible view, Clamming & Fishing on the beach, crabbing off the 12 Ave bridge, bonfires on the beach (all the beaches in Oregon are public). Also being so close to the downtown shopping, attractions, and restaurants- as well as the outlet mall.

I really enjoyed my stay with you in April. I came for quiet and solitude and that is what happened for me. My husband, Phil, and I first came to Tradewinds back in 1996 when his Hood to Coast team stayed there.

My husband is a dear and knows my need and love of quiet and solitude.

We've been married 43-years. I come once a year during Lent for a quiet retreat by myself. Your location at the end of the Prom is the perfect location for quiet. I walk to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church each morning and spend time in my room, Room 203, reading, writing and reflecting. I am also a runner and love running the beach. You respected my privacy and I thank for that. I brought all my food and asked for no maid service because I was only there for four days and didn't need new towels or to have someone make my bed. Again, I thank you for that.

One of the reasons I came back to Room 203 again this year was its simplicity and its lovely little electric space heater. The flames in that little, old-fashioned stove are the most realistic I have ever seen.

I ended up ordering one as an insert into our fireplace here at home. I don't need the heat--I just love the cozy effect of the flames. Our son

is a firefighter in Virginia and I think the flames would fool even


Please feel free to use any of my comments on your web-site. I love your quiet, tucked away little Seaside retreat at the end of the Prom. I will be back again next year for my Lenten retreat, and maybe even before that. I may even bring my husband next time!

Prime location, cozy room

What a lovely little place to stay. Cozy electric fire, well-appointed kitchenette, wonderful staff, prime location. We were so grateful for their accommodating pet policy as well - no problems with our 90lb German Shepherd.

It would be nice if they would move towards using cleaning products and laundry detergent that was scent-free. We had to air out the room for a little bit.

BUT, I would certainly stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying at our place on the beach and do come back again soon! As for the cleaning products- they are all oxygenated non-hypoallergenic (i.e. we use no bleach or dryer sheets for example). We do use an organic enzyme spray for pet odors such as when you departed, which is likely the scent you noticed.

Nice place

Arrived third Monday of September. Unit was nice and clean. Location was great, right on the quiet end of the prom. BBQ set up on back was nice. However the bed is a memory foam mattress that we did not find comfabable. Room could have also used a nice chair to sit. Just two dining room chairs for sitting. Lots of nice restaurants to walk to. No need to drive anywhere.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days at the end of March 2013, and to say the least we are far from happy.

When I booked our stay, the people were very polite and courteous; they even called to see if we needed directions on the day of the arrival.

However, things went south very quickly once we arrived. After a 4 hour drive for a vacation, and settling in, we wanted/needed to shower, but unfortunately there was no hot water. My wife pointed out a note stapled to the wall next to the bathroom light switch which stated "PLEASE USE CAUTION - Fluctuating water temperatures may happen in showers", however, there was no fluctuating water, there was no hot water at all, and it was ice cold. I went down to the office to resolve the matter, unfortunately the office closed at 8 pm and there was nobody there. Tried the office the next morning and was told by Brandon (Office Manager) that we needed to run the water for 10-15 minutes before hot water would emerge. We ran the water for more than 30 minutes without any luck. We decided to go get breakfast and catch the shower later. We came back 1.5 hours later, to find nobody in the office, waited for about 20 minutes and gave up. Came back later that afternoon and was told that they were working to resolve the problem, and that they would let us know as soon as the problem was resolved. Long story short, the entire time we were there, there was no hot water in the shower. On the last day, I went to the office again, and Brandon said that he had just called a professorial plumber and the water issue was soon to be resolved. I asked Brandon for a later checkout in order for my wife and I to be able to shower, before we set of on the 4 hour drive back home. He said he could not authorize the late checkout, as he had other guest arriving shortly and needed to clean the room. We waited for 30 more minutes, still no hot water so we left. On my way out, I asked Brandon for at least a partial refund for our stay, he was extremely rude, and refused, stating that this type of situation was out of his control.

I called a week later hoping to speak with the owner or another manager, Brandon answered the phone and said that he was it and that there was no one above him. Again I asked for a partial refund, he refused and said that the water was fixed shortly after we checked out.

If you want to enjoy your vacation in today's limited time off from work, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Owner's Response: Dear Daniel, I was sorry to find out that there were problems with your recent stay. After looking into this I found out that the hot water issue affected the whole complex and was fixed the day of your departure. Although we try to give our guests the best stay possible there are times when something happens that is out of our control. Also I would like to let you know our management team has been replaced and I understand our new manager Linda refunded you $100.00 dollars for your troubles. Please note there is a 2 night minimum stay required during July and August and on certain Federal Holidays, if available. Pet fees are $20.00 one pet 1st night, and $30.00 for two pets- $10/$15 additional nights. - for stays longer than 1 night (and/or 2 pets) the additional fees are due upon check in at the property. For all reservation stays beginning July 1, 2016 the new Oregon State Lodging tax will be in effect (1.8% instead of 1.0%)- local lodging taxes (8.0%) remain unchanged at this time.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
