The Lucky Charm – Hemlock Point, Beaver Island
Escape to quieter times on peaceful Lake Geneserath. Nestled on a quiet peninsula at the sunny south end of Beaver Island, The Lucky Charm offers a serene retreat in a peaceful residential neighborhood—this is not a party house. No jet skis are permitted on the property (please save those for Lake Michigan).
The southern end of the island is known for some of its finest beaches. You’re just a short distance from Cables Bay, Iron Ore Beach, and the historic Beaver Head Lighthouse. Enjoy the sun, sand, and clear blue waters of summer, or visit in fall to experience the island’s stunning autumn colors.
The Property
This well-appointed 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is ideal for families, friends, fishing trips, or a quiet remote-work getaway. Enjoy excellent Wi-Fi, a peaceful setting, and beautiful lake views from the deck.
The main level features two bedrooms (one queen, one double) and a full bathroom with a walk-in accessible shower. Upstairs you’ll find two additional bedrooms (one queen and one with two single beds) plus a second full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The kitchen is fully stocked, and the living area includes a television with Roku, games, and DVDs. A washer and dryer are located in the basement, along with extra lawn chairs, life jackets, and beach toys. A charcoal grill is provided (charcoal not included). Guests are welcome to bring their own bikes or kayaks, or rent equipment in town.
Lake Geneserath is home to a variety of wildlife, excellent fishing, and nesting loons. Relax on the deck with morning coffee, toast the sunset, and enjoy the dark, starry night skies.

The island is accessible by plane or ferry:

A vehicle is required for your stay. If bringing your own car, ferry reservations are essential and fill quickly during peak season (bookings typically open in January). Car rentals are available on the island through Burton’s Car Rentals: 231-838-2883 (also offers e-bikes).
Additional Information
Wi-Fi and a Roku television are provided.
Guests are responsible for taking all trash with them at checkout and disposing of it at the transfer station in town.
Peak summer stays run Friday to Friday. Please inquire with the hosts about short stays, extended stays, winter rentals, or special events.

No need to strip beds, leave used beds unmade. Used towels please place on the floor of showers.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please be respectful to neighbors. Lake G is a quiet lake, no jet skis on property. 10pm-8am quiet hours Indoor fireplace not for use.
Please don’t park or drive through the north side lawn. This is our septic field. Parking spots on east and north sides close to house. No pets
Trash is to be taken to Transfer Station by guest, placed in green bag. 1 bag provided for guests, extra can be bought in town. Recycling encouraged!

Beaver Island Getaway

This was our first time to Beaver Island. Lucky Charm is a comfortable getaway in a beautiful, quiet area. Fishing was great on Lake G; we brought our kayaks and enjoyed the tranquility, visited various beaches and hiking trails. Beautiful area.

From the time we booked until our stay communication was excellent. Beautiful location on the Lake. The house was clean and well supplied with everything we needed for our stay. If we come to Beaver Island again we will stay here. Don’t hesitate to book. Lovely cabin

A Slice of Heaven

We had a wonderful week at the Lucky Charm. If you're looking for a beautiful setting of peace and quiet, this is it! Enjoyed coffee/wine on the deck, listening to the Loons. House so clean with plenty of room. We will certainly stay again.

Another charmed week at the Lucky Charm

This is the perfect spot for family time on Beaver Island: mergansers, loons, muscrats to keep us entertained. Beautiful sunsets and exciting thunderstorms on Lake G. Great place for swimming off the dock and kayaking to the North and South arms. Easy access to Cable and Iron Ore Bays. Our hosts are fantastic. The house is perfect for our family of 5. We will be counting the months til a 2026 return to The Lucky Charm. Thank you!

Awesome experience at Lucky Charm

Beautifully situated on Lake Geneserath. We saw beaver, mergansers, loons and beautiful sunsets. The house is perfect for our 3 kids and us. Great for hiking on Cable Bay, kayaking on Lake G, and building sand castles on Iron Ore Bay. This was our 2nd summer at the Lucky Charm andcit could not have been more pe4fect!
