Its a beautiful house just down the road from the winterpark ski resort. Very peaceful. It is a house of many stairs on every level. Our group had a fun couple of days.

This place was AMAZING. Perfect fit for our group of three separate families. Kids had their own spaces, adults enjoyed the fireplace and the kitchen was perfect for cooking for a large group. Anything and everything you might need in a kitchen to cook for a group. Highly recommended and we will return.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
We chose this property because it was advertised as a ski-in home and paid a premium based on that expectation. Unfortunately, the home is not ski-in, which was very disappointing and misleading when planning a winter ski trip. We drove to and from the lifts everyday.Upon arrival, we also noticed several maintenance and cleanliness concerns. Carpets were dirty, the home was dusty. On our first night, we smelled gas in the kitchen and discovered there was a small gas leak. For safety, we had to turn off the stove and wait for maintenance to come the following morning to repair it. This was unsettling. The outdoor space also needs attention. The porch furniture was torn and in poor condition, making it unusable. Additionally, there is a railroad track extremely close to the home that runs 24/7. The train noise woke us up every night and impacted the peaceful mountain setting we were expecting. The property is located across from another vacant proper owned by the same company, and during our stay the lights were left on and windows were open, which felt odd and detracted from the overall experience. We were also surprised by how small the kitchen and seating area were for a home marketed to accommodate a larger group. Because of various issues that arose, we had to contact the property manager multiple times during our stay, which was inconvenient and not what we expected for a premium rental. The feel of this rental does not deserve a premium rate.

Hello Michelle,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations and that several aspects of the experience caused frustration.
We take concerns regarding listing accuracy, cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort very seriously. The gas issue you encountered was addressed as quickly as possible, but we understand how unsettling that must have been and apologize for the inconvenience. We also appreciate you bringing the outdoor furniture, kitchen setup, and other property concerns to our attention, as this feedback helps us prioritize improvements.
We regret that the surrounding environment and repeated need to reach out during your stay impacted your overall experience. That is never the level of stay we aim to provide. Thank you again for your candid feedback, and we will use it to continue improving for future guests.
Wonderful property with plenty of room for large family. Stayed with our 4 children and their families. Everyone had their own space and bathrooms with plenty of space in the common areas to gather. Perfectly appointed with everything you need to prepare meals.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!

Hi Linda, thank you for choosing our home for your stay! We're glad to hear you and your family enjoyed your time together, we look forward to hosting you again soon! -Winter Park House Team
Perfect for our group of 15. There were minor things that didn't seem accurate in the listing but it wasn't that big of a deal. The location is probably way better in the winter.

Three families and three generations. We all had a bed and a room we could get away to if needed. Two different family rooms help spread the fun around. Loved the ski in. Loved the solitude and fresh snow. Made for a magical Christmas.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for choosing our home for your stay! We're glad to hear you and your group had a magical Christmas together! We look forward to hosting you again! -Winter Park House Team
This home is very accommodating for large groups and beautiful. The garage can only fit one car, though. The “ski in” is an unmarked narrow trail off of the Turnpike run through the woods that is for skilled skiers so a green level skier would have a hard time. The walk to the lifts is 8 football-lengths away or you can drive to the base but you have to choose what you are going to do. You cannot ski in without walking to the Gemini lift because if you drive, your car will be impossible to get to. Also, if you are staying here in the winter, you have to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill to the house. We had to go buy tire chains to get up the hill in our 2 wheel drive vehicle. These are the only things you must know before you rent here but, we still give it a 5 star rating. The mgt was very easy to communicate with.

Hi Pam, thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback! The State of Colorado does require vehicles to be equipped with either 4 wheel drive, snow tires, or chains when driving the I-70 corridor through the mountains. We hope you enjoyed your stay and time skiing, thank you for choosing our home for your stay! -Winter Park House Team
