Welcome to The Haven! A happy, welcoming retreat 4 miles from Alexandria, set in a quiet neighborhood on a peaceful lake with little boating congestion. This 6-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is perfect for all generations, featuring a no-step entry, main-level primary suite, and zero-entry shower with bench. Designed with three distinct 2-bedroom + bath areas it is ideal for families. Enjoy beautiful lake views, fishing, a Rainbow Playset for kids, plus a 22-ft pontoon & paddle boat (May–Sept)!

Bedroom 1: King Bed I Bedroom 2: Queen Bed I Bedroom 3: 2 Twin Beds I Bedroom 4: Queen Bed I Bedroom 5: 2 Twin Beds + Crib I Bedroom 6: King Bed I Additional Sleeping: Pull-out King couch, crib, pack ‘n play.

OUTDOOR LIVING: Dock, 22 ft pontoon and paddle boat (May-September), covered upper deck with ceiling fans and dining table that seats 10 with additional chairs, gas grill, lounge chairs, covered lower patio with ping pong table, Adirondack chairs that face lake, Rainbow playset, fire pit and horse shoe.

Kayaks, paddle boards and lily pad available for rent.

INDOOR LIVING: 2 living rooms (upper & lower) each with gas fireplace and large screen Smart TV’s, dining table seats 14, poker/game table, 2 additional smart TV’s, ceiling fans.

KITCHENS: Main level: Fully equipped, dishwasher, refrigerator, 2 ovens, microwave, garbage compactor, drip coffee maker, toaster oven, Crock-Pot, dishware/flatware, wine glasses, Keurig, hand mixer, blender, complimentary spices, kitchen island (4 stools). Lower-level kitchenette: second refrigerator, microwave.

GENERAL: Strong Wi-Fi, 2 washers, 2 dryers, linens/towels/beach towels, central heating & air conditioning, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, cleaning essentials.

KIDS: crib, 2 pack-n-plays, 2 high chairs, toys, books, dinner ware.

PARKING: Garage (2 vehicles). Maximum 8 cars total for property.

THE LOCATION

LAKE LOUISE: A smaller quiet lake perfect for cruising, fishing and swimming without lake congestion. Louise is well stocked with Northerns, Crappies, Walleyes and Sunfish, and is popular for ice fishing during winter months. The lake is 300-acres with depths up to 33 feet. Public access boat launch located 1/4 miles from the house.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: Big Ole Park, Carlos Creek Winery and 22 Northern Brewing, Theatre L' Homme Dieu, Country Blossom Farm, Burr Vineyards, Viking Speedway, Casey’s Amusement Park, Hook & Slice, Escape Room Alexandria, Shenanigans Indoor Playground.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE: Lake Carlos State Park (hiking, cross country skiing or snow shoeing-rental available), Lake Brophy County Park (located on Central Lakes Trail, large fully accessible kids playground, mountain bike trail, picnic tables, groomed cross country trails and sledding hill, ice skating rink, warming area), Central Lakes Trail (great for long bike rides or walks), Alexandria Golf Club, Atikwa Golf Course, Andes Tower Hills (downhill skiing, snow tubing, summer hiking and mountain biking).

FOOD & DRINK: Casa Jalisco, Coffee Pot Café, Copper Trail Brewing, DJ’s Taphouse, Fired Up Bar & Grill, Great Hunan Chinese, Pike & Pint, Tannin & Oak.

This place was so much fun! Tons spaces for relaxing individually or being together, spent a lot of time on the lake (get the kayaks and canoe!), chats around the bonfire, play places for the little kids, lots to do nearby. The owners have been offering luxury vacation homes to guests for over 25 years. They take pride in offering high-end accommodations which provide a backdrop for incredible memories. The Haven was purchased in 2003 and went through a remodel in 2018 expanded it from 4 to 6 bedroom and from 2 to 3.5 baths. Expanded living space with fireplaces up and down will provide a great place to spend time with friends and family indoors and a new covered deck along with the open deck provides a space outdoors for all.

Why they chose this property

The Alexandria, MN area offers a great variety of activities and Lake Louise is calm and family friendly. Summer brings water sports, picnicking and relaxing by the beach. Fall color is breathtaking and winter sparkles with snow, cross country skiing and sitting by the fireplace.

The guests will enjoy having room to seat 16 for dinner, cooking in the gourmet kitchen and having the pontoon available whenever they want to use it. Your family and friends will love having lots of space to gather and yet being able to find a quiet place for solitude too.
