About Kamala Heath
We are English transplants who have fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. The grandchildren love to come and spend time here.We love sharing the cabin with people who really appreciate the beautiful setting. We have spent years upgrading the property. Not easy with over 110 inches of rain a year! We are thrilled that our guests are returning and recommending the place to their friends. Thank you to all of you and we love your nice comments in the guest book.
Kamala Heath purchased this Cabin in 1984
Why Kamala Heath chose Forks
We come here to rest and rejuvenate and leave the city behind. Our family has owned and loved this property for over 30 years. Actually, the property has owned us! Especially the moles! Many of our English relatives have come to visit and are always amazed at the scenery.Last year's favourite memory was of my English buddies from high school sitting around the blazing campfire, late at night, drinks in hand, laughing until we cried. We wish to share this peaceful sanctuary with you.Make sure you take the time to walk the trails and pack a picnic for the beach.
What makes this Cabin unique
Tranquility, relaxation, and seclusion. We have enjoyed watching the wildlife in the large yard. The trails are magical. Also the beach-combing,fishing and hunting is pretty good too!

Secluded with easy access to everything
The HVH was a great place to stay while visiting the west side of the Olympic Peninsula. The home is comfy has everything you need, including a fire pit, if the weather agrees with you. There are endless national parks and state parks within a short drive. The road to the HVH has a few spots that are gravel so prepare for a car washing after.
Cozy and private!
This is the perfect place to disconnect from the world!
We Will be back Soon 😊
Beautiful Piece of Property, this was our 3rd time here and we love it. We always visit the beaches at Neah Bay, Cape Flattery is another beautiful hike and easy for small kids as well. Hoh Rainfoest is just down the road with beautiful trails. The property has its own beautiful Rainforest to enjoy with fun trails. Overall anyone that loves the great outdoors and a quiet getaway this is the place for you!
Sharon l loved meeting you and your great family. You make all my work worthwhile Thanks for the hotdog around the campfire last evening. Come back soon. Kamala
Quiet, secluded, rejuvenating experience. The house was everything we expected and more.
My family and I were thrilled with our experience here at Hoh Hideaway. It was easy to find using the explicit directions. Exploring the property itself was enchanting. The trails were well marked and fun for our three year old granddaughter. We had everything we needed in the house. It was clean and well stocked. We would definitely come again.
It was a pleasure having you to stay. I knew your whole family would enjoy the property. I try to make it somewhere I would want to stay when l travel to places for the first time. And my whole family loves to hike and cook and eat! Kamala
Nice dry basecamp.
Great basecamp for Olympic exploration. Everything we needed to come in out of the rain, have a cup of coffee, make dinner and relax. Well stocked woodshed for a nice campfire and well marked trails for a morning stroll.
Being in the coast range in March - a hard time of the year to be in someone else’s house with dogs. Due to the grassy yard and the mossy trails we were able to not destroy this quaint cottage. The cottage was well equipped and in good working order. Near to the rainforest and not far from the ocean and in great proximity to the various rivers. Thanks for sharing HVH !
Thankyou, Susan, for staying at HVH . I knew you would love the trails. And the privacy! Wish you could have caught more fish. See you in the Summertime!!
I am 15 miles South of Forks and very close to the road to the Rain Forest National Park. Centrally located for most of the local sights and beaches.
