About Nick & Sheri Larson
My wife and I have both lived in the area for over thirty years and we still love it here in spite of all the rain. We have a large family with six adult children and eleven grandkids. There is never a dull moment around the Larson house.
Nick & Sheri Larson purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Nick & Sheri Larson chose Forks
We lived across the highway from this cabin over twenty years ago and rented a small cottage that is no longer standing. During the summer months we can walk downstream to the next river bar where we used to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with our kids over twenty years ago. One family of our old neighbors still live there.
What makes this Cabin unique
We can see the Sol Duc river flowing by without going outside. There is a beautiful view of the river from the living room window and the kitchen window as well.

Great VRBO cabin along the river
We really enjoyed this very updated house. Beautifully fixed up and decorated. The owner was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Will stay here again the next time we are in this area.
More like a home than a hotel
Clean, private, convenient, well equipped, charming.
We are happy you enjoyed your stay, thank you.
Cute cabin that appears to have been completely renovated. There's even a partially fenced yard with a barbecue and open access to the nearby river. We could only stay one night, but I could easily have stayed longer, enjoying trips to nearby Rialto Beach (we saw a whale there!), hiking in the rain forest, and fishing in the river. Especially enjoyed the Olympic Peninsula posters. Cabin is perfect size for a couple, but you could put a couple of kids on the sofa bed (have to watch them, though, as there is easy access to the river).
Thank you for staying. Sheri and I are so glad you enjoyed our cabin. We hope you will be back to spend more time out here. Thanks again the nice review!
Perfect relaxing cozy & clean
This cabin was so comfortable. The bed slept wonderful. The shades kept the light out ( we live in Ga so we were exhausted by 8pm your time). It a great location to be able to see Olympic National Park & the coastal areas. Relaxing in the Sol Duc river is a bonus. The fence is a perfect barrier for our 6 year old. We did not see any elk, but the bald eagles were plentiful. This place is really clean. It does have AC which is a must for southerners. We stayed in the Pacific Northwest for 2 weeks. We rented 4 different cabins and this one was our favorite
Sheri and I are so happy you enjoyed our cabin. Thank you so much for staying.
Hidden Gem Of The Olympic Peninsula
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Hidden Duc.
First morning, saw two bull elk in the back yard...and saw bald eagles daily!
Great location with easy access to ONP attractions. Quite possibly the best home base we could have imagined.
Thanks for a wonderful stay! Will definitely come back again our next time to Olympic National Park!
Wow! We are so happy you got to see the elk! The eagles have a nest upriver in a huge spruce tree. Sheri and I are glad you enjoyed the Hidden Duc!
A Hidden Gem!
Cozy Cabin that is small but stylish and elegant.. Perfect spot to get us on our ONP Hikes.. Wouldn’t mind coming back one bit
Thank you, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay!
