About Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals

I have been working with my family my entire life to make the Campone beach property a place you can go to retreat from the difficulty of life. I have grown up knowing that there is a place for me to be at peace next to the ocean. I hope that everyone finds that place for themselves or comes to experience ours.

Why Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals chose Central Coast

It has been part of my family for 40 years and is a place where anyone can feel at home and become rested and rejuvenated by the natural location.

What makes this cabin unique

This is a place to find serenity. It is born out of 40 years of contribution by friends and family and feeds the soul in a way that no other place can.

family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Four generations of family, ages ranged from 76-2. Man did we have a great time. Location is perfect, access to beach was wonderful. Property, cabins everything was as advertised. Only suggestion would be for you to bring air mattress for the beds as they tend to be a little hard. Ocean Odyessy goes above and beyond and we couldn't be more satisfied. Looking forward to this years trip to Camp One!

The best Oregon Coast vacation rental idea EVER

  • 4 of 5

Rating Details:

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

I was very happy with the location.

The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.

The property manager was very helpful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:

We just discovered this vacation rental last summer -and it is pretty darn amazing. The amazingness can be summed up thusly:

*A plethora of beach cabins practically sitting right on the beach! And they're all yours!

*An outdoor shower!!

*Hot tub with an ocean view!

*Beautiful beach + funky cabins = fun for the family :)

We plan to come back again this summer!

There were a few issues that I think management could look into, though...

-None of the cabins had been cleaned very well when we arrived, and at least two hadn't been cleaned at all -they still had unmade beds from the previous guests... the kitchen in the bait cabin in particular was very dirty. Not just a cabin-by-the-beach kind of dirty, but food still on the stove and counters kind of dirty. We spent our first evening walking around and picking up a lot of trash from the grounds, washing towels as there were many left dirty in the laundry cabin, wiping down the kitchen counters and sweeping up all the food from the kitchen floor. We didn't make a to-do about it or call the property management, as we assumed that perhaps the group before us was very large (and messy) and the cleaning staff were maybe overwhelmed and ran out of time that day or something...

-the outdoor shower runs out of hot water VERY quickly, which is too bad as it is such an awesome feature!

-The beds in the Bait House and in the Taj Mahal are hella uncomfortable.. my husband and I plan to bring maybe an air mattress or something to help the Taj Mahal bed out a bit our next visit.. I didn't try the beds in the other cabins, but the kids said they were pretty hard (I think they are just foam bits over plywood, so I suppose that would make sense)

Regardless, the whole family agreed that returning to Camp One for our annual Oregon coast trip is a must!

I was very happy with the location.

The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.

The property manager was adequately helpful.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:

Bait house needs a deep cleaning including windows & sills. Outside lights burned out, shower handle was from sink so hard to adjust temp. Hot tub missing seats. Uncomfortable sleeping on bunks in bait house. Wiring is kind of a nightmare, kept flipping breakers when too many appliances on. On positive side, great location with nearness to beach. Would suggest trimming some of the foliage on beach side so could view ocean more from property.

Reviewer Comments:

We have been using Ocean Odyssey for over 10 years. During that time, we have stayed in 12 different homes. We found them to be clean, well taken care of and exactly as advertised.

When a situation called for their assistance, they were quick to respond.

The Ocean Odyssey team is a winner!

CAMP ONE PART II

  • 5 of 5

Our Camp One family reunion part II has just concluded. Once again, this wonderful facility offered us the perfect place to experience the ocean's wonder and joy with our 2 1/2 year old grandchildren, their parents, cousins, a sister and nephews... A crab feast at the outdoor cabana, multiple campfires ( w/ smores ), agate hunting, family dinners, and so much more left us wanting more, more, more..

As always, thank you to the the owners and management company for making our stay comfortable, clean and memorable...

We shall return in 2014!

Jeff V.
