About this property
My Mother's House - A quiet home on the Michigamme River
Come and enjoy the beauty I grew up with on the Michigamme River in Michigan's gorgeous Upper Peninsula. Spend your time on the property soaking in the view, or enjoy a short trip to a nearby lake for kayaking, fishing or boating. Republic is a hub for snowmobilers in the winter months with easy access to trails leading in any direction. You are also within an hour's drive to ski trails and hills, bike and ATV routes, Lake Superior, Northern Michigan University, Sawyer International Airport, and much more!

YEAR-ROUND ACCESS
My Mother's House has been newly renovated and is ready to welcome visitors. Enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors right off the back porch. It's a great place to land if you're visiting friends/family in town, planning to hunt, fish, boat, ski, snowshoe or snowmobile in the area, or if you just need to unplug and rejuvenate.
This house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is all on one level. Guests also have access to a washer and dryer.
Windows overlook the beautiful Michigamme River where wildlife, such as eagles, hawks, geese, otters, beaver, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, many species of birds, fox, deer, turkeys, and even a moose have been seen. There are also fish in the river - muskie, bass, rock bass and trout to name a few. The Iron Ore Trailhead is an easy 3 miles North, where you can walk, bike, ride your ATV or snowmobile all the way to Marquette.

About the host
Hosted by Nola Mark

I am a retired school teacher/counselor who grew up and spent approximately 35 years of my life in Republic, many of them in this house. I am excited and happy to share "My Mother's House" with you. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Why they chose this property
My mom and dad built this house from the ground up. My mom was the designer and my dad was the builder. They loved this place, and I have grown to love it too. So why does only my mom get the credit in the title? I don't know. It just felt right. And I think he's OK with it.
What makes this property unique
This property offers beauty, peace, quiet, serenity, a place to unwind and relax, and so much more. Come and experience it for yourself and you'll see what I mean.
