Blue Mermaid! Beautiful home 4 blocks from the beach!

The property sits on a large lot with ample parking for three vehicles- without having to park on the street. The bedrooms are all very roomy with lots of natural light. The kitchen is huge with tons of storage and a gas stove. There is a full dining area inside and out. But, our favorite part is the outside seating area. With an outdoor sofa and grill, we love to sit outside and catch up with friends and family after a day at the beach. (We have an outdoor shower to wash off the salt, too). There are plenty of beach toys and bikes to make sure you enjoy your days in the sun to the fullest. So, come hang out and relax at The Blue Mermaid.

Aaron and Shelley have always had a passion for travel, exploring new places whenever they can, but with four kids in tow, it’s not always easy to pick up and go. Determined to share their love for the beach with their family, they decided to buy a cozy Airbnb home close to the beach in Galveston. The house is a perfect escape, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. For Aaron and Shelley, it's not just about the getaway, but creating lasting memories with their children and giving others the opportunity to experience the joy of the beach through their Airbnb home. It’s a little slice of paradise, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Why they chose this property
The downtown area of Galveston is a fantastic place to live, with its charming Victorian architecture, walkable streets, and unique shops and restaurants in the Strand. It’s a vibrant community that hosts cultural events year-round, like ArtWalks and Mardi Gras, while offering easy access to the waterfront for scenic views and activities. Plus, you’re never far from the beach and parks, making it the perfect blend of history, convenience, and coastal living.
What makes this property unique
The Blue Mermaid is reminiscent of a coastal cottage- with almost 1,700 interior square feet. She sits on an oversize lot with off street, fenced parking. We lovingly furnished her with all the comforts of your own home. We didn't compromise on quality pillows and linens, comfortable sofas, tasteful decor, and an attempt to have every kitchen item you might need to prepare a meal for your family and friends. She is pet friendly too as we know the importance of our own furry family members. Come relax on either of our two porches or our outdoor sofa while you recount the lovely memories you made on our beautiful island.
