Good little place in the woods

This place was exactly what we needed for a long weekend, away from the hustle of the work week. Far enough out to see the stars but close enough to grab a bite. Enough room for a couple, or few, to hang out, make some dinner and enjoy the mountain air. Response time from the host was timely and courteous. I would for sure check out the Peruvian Restaurant in town, incredible food. I will dream about that stew.

Great spot in Angel Fire

This place was perfect for our family of three plus our small dog. A quick bike ride (~3 mins) to the lift and back for mountain biking. It’s nice and quiet, surrounded by trees. I saw so many birds and a ton of deer. The condo was clean and well stocked for our stay. We stacked the two foam mattresses on top of one another for our 7 year old to sleep on and he said it was super comfy!

Quiet Hidden Gem

If you’re looking for a great stay with your family this is place! The property is kid friendly and very beautiful. The foldout mattresses makes a lot space for more people to fit! The walk is less than 5 minutes from the slopes. It is clean and pictures honestly don’t do it justice. The only complaint. Using Apple Maps in the mountains, I think cuts the GPS off at a certain point. So the property is a little further up and from the point the directions stops.

I have stayed in Angel Fire on numerous occasions, and this was by far my most challenging stay. On the first day, my 13-year-old blind dog walked over the edge of the basement patio next door and fell approximately 4 feet. The top of the patio is ground level with no barrier. I reached out to the VRBO owner but didn't hear back. Had this been a child, this could have been a tragic event. Once inside, there was no place to store our clothes, the closets were full of stuff, no dishwasher and the on-property laundry didn't work very well. The bed was very creaky. We opened our bedroom window the first night but had to close it because the owner next door smoked pot throughout the evening and it was making its way into our bedroom. The place isn't terrible, it just needs a few things like an extra chair in the living room, empty the closet so it can be used for clothes, a dresser in the bedroom and the HOA would be well served to do something about the gaping hole that is the lower units patio. What we saw online and what we paid for didn't align.
