Perfect family vacation destination.Beautiful home that sits right on Fish River, a nature lovers paradise. Perfect for a quiet getaway to kayak, fish , swim and enjoy nature. Also close to our gorgeous white sandy beaches in Gulf Shores Alabama and beautiful communities like Fairhope and Magnolia Springs. There are plenty of nature adventures to enjoy like the Weeks Bay Pitcher Bog and nature trail just 3 minutes from house. House has 3 beautiful bedrooms and space for air mattress if needed to accommodate your family. You also have your own private pier to fish, cookout or just enjoy all the wonderful nature surrounding you. Kayak and fishing rods are provided as well as multiple items for swimming . Beach towels are provided. Kitchen is stocked with all your needs for cooking as well as having a COFFEE/ TEA BAR for your enjoyment. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are provided for your pleasure. Luxury linens and spa like towels are provided to help your stay more enjoyable . Dove products are also supplied in both bathrooms for your use. Large smart TV in living room and a TV is in master bedroom . You can log in to your Netflix and other personal accounts. This is a perfect home to relax, play and enjoy nature at its best.

Great stay. Loved the area and home was very clean. Only thing I would recommend is updating property details that the grill is a very old treager. Also more detailed instructions in the book at the house about grill, fan on dock, where to find things would be nice. Other than that we loved it there.

Great relaxing getaway!

James’ Riverhouse on the Fish River was just what we needed. The house was exceptionally clean, had everything we needed and very spacious. The dock was the perfect place to watch the sunset. Great neighbors, really enjoyed meeting them! Thanks James for sharing your home with us.

Great house in a great location!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. All communication in advance was prompt and seamless. Property was as described-so clean and totally stocked with everything we needed! Bed so comfortable. We especially enjoyed the dock-fishing and catching crabs. Location is convenient to restaurants, shopping and golf courses. Can’t wait to return!

We wanted a place that was quiet so we could enjoy time with our family. It rained allot but there is so much to do in the enclosed area that it was easily overcome. Great experience we will be back

Birthday Staycation

The house was great and the boat dock was even better. We brought our boats and water toys and played on the river all weekend. Will definitely be renting this place again in the future!

Couldn’t be better

This property is extremely nice. Very clean house with amazing beds a nice bedrooms and a nice size living/dining room to accommodate the whole family. This property is located right on fish river with one of the nicest boat docks I’ve seen an a big back yard with plenty of room for your pets to play. I really liked the location away from all the traffic a red lights but still only fifteen minutes from Foley. I would recommend this property to everyone looking to stay in the area. I will definitely be comming back.

Wonderful!

We were in town for a Friday wedding so we only stayed a couple of nights...but wish we had planned for a longer stay! The house is cute and comfortable, like your Nana's home...but has everything that you might need, like a fancy hotel. I forgot a few things and figured I would have to make a trek to the grocery store, but they thought of everything. The dock was one of my favorite things...2 swinging beds and another swing, plus a full table and chairs for outdoor dining. The next door neighbor was very welcoming, too. Easy arrival and super-easy checkout. We'd love to return and bring our boat! Thank you for your generosity!

Wonderful weekend vacation

It was very peaceful. Super nice neighbors. I took 2 foster kids. The 11 year old boy had never been to the beach. The kids spent a lot of time in the water at the house. When they weren’t in the water they were fishing. They caught a lot of catfish. I think they enjoyed swimming at the house better than the beach! We’re definitely planning to go back!

We enjoyed having time with 2 of our grands and teaching them about catching crabs in the traps on the pier. They thought it was so cool to have kid friendly dinnerware too.

Definitely Going Back

Perfect location for what we wanted - about 20 minutes to the outlets in Foley and 20 minutes to Fairhope. The house reminded us of an old fish camp. It's not fancy, but it is clean and ideal for spending your time outdoors. The dock is great for watching the sunset. The neighbors on both sides are friendly. We had a couple of questions while we were there. The property manager, Mary, was easy to reach and very helpful. My husband is eager to book our next stay. Thank you for your hospitality! We will definitely be back.

This house was great! Everything we needed was right there, the neighbors were nice, the location was perfectly located to shopping, beaches and restaurants. It was so easy to communicate with owners if we had questions.

Amazing week and wedding ceremony!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, we absolutely loved it! We had some family come down with us from Illinois and friends from Daphne. We had a wedding ceremony on the deck that turned out way better than we ever imagined. Wish I could post a pic on here! We will definitely be back and our friends from Daphne already told their kids to rent it when they come down for a visit.

Happy is the River House

This was my second time to stay at the River House and it was everything, and more that I remembered! The hosts are simply amazing in their response and how they do all they can to be accomodating. Having gone through a long illness in the family and a death, all I wanted was peace and quiet - and I found it there. The house is ultra clean and up to date and everything works. I found out several months ago when I had to stay at a different property that not all VRBOs are as well maintained as this one... Bailey enjoyed the pelicans and the herons (from a safe distance). We sat on the porch Tuesday and I picked up my paintbrush and happily worked on a painting - the first time in over a year! Just call me an ecstatic camper - I'll be seeing you again - 😉 Thank you again for the peace and quiet.

River House is the perfect place to getaway, relax but also enjoy everything fish River has to offer. You can fish, kayak or swim. We provide everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are plenty of water activities, fishing gear, kayaks and other water devices .you are also centered between Gulf Shores , enjoy their white sand beaches or visit the one of a kind town of Fairhope. Plenty of fantastic locally owned restaurants, coffee shops and wonderful little shops to find the perfect souvenir. And don’t forget to visit the Pier and see the beautiful roses, pelicans and watch locals fishing.
