This chalet is simply grand for one family or two couples. Northern Lights is one of the most luxurious properties on the mountain.

After your day on the slopes, ride an elevator to this penthouse where the single-floor layout appeases end-of-the-day muscles. Revel at your view from first class comfort. 19' ceiling frames floor-to-ceiling windows. Personal touches reflect Canada's winter sports and heated floors ensure that you feel at home. Of course, mattresses have been upgraded and beds have duvets. Cozy up fireside with your book, lounge in the private hot tub, and relax in the steam shower. Complimentary WiFi. Flat screen TVs: HD & DVR in the great room and DVD player/PlayStation in the den - the 'kid-favorite' space.

We have put a great deal of planning to make the chalet comfortable. Come and make family memories.

About Julie & Jim

Our MISSION STATEMENT: To provide luxury accommodation at reasonable rates.

Our GOAL: For our guests to make great family memories during their vacation.

Julie is an elementary school teacher. She grew up in Utah, another site with extraordinary snow, and is very selective about where she skis. That's one reason we are here.

Jim grew up in the Midwest and New England. Previously the commanding officer of a naval aviation squadron, operational missions have taken him from Hong Kong to Jiddah and Reykjavik to Santiago.

We currently reside near Washington, DC. Phone us at 215-380-4691, Eastern time zone.

Julie & Jim purchased this condo in 2004

Why Julie & Jim chose Big White

Friendly people, 'Champagne Powder' snow, and scenery. It takes many days to ski the entire mountain. The snow is drier than Vancouver and the temperatures milder than the Rockies.

This chalet combines superior location, quality, exquisite finishing, den, elevator, and ski-in/ski-out.

What makes this condo unique

Steam shower, private hot tub, den, slope-side location, superlative view, cozy radiant floor heating, washer/dryer, garage

Guestbook comments from the owner

From the guest book: "You have am amazing place. The consensus is it's the nicest ski accommodation anyone has stayed in. The web photos don't do this place justice."

An awesome family condo, complete with everything we needed for a memorable experience at Big White.

  • 5 of 5

Northern Lights is a bright, warm and spacious condo that has been very well maintained. Everything was clean, nicely laid out and organized. The owners were very helpful and very quick to respond to questions. The condo was very well stocked with all the usual consumables: towels, spices, etc.

Northern Lights is a 2 min walk from the ski out trail and about a 4 minute walk to the ski in trail - not a hardship at all, with the benefit being more privacy and quiet when sitting in the hot tub enjoying the view!

Highly recommended: we would stay here again for sure!

Stupendous views, private, and well-appointed

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four loved every minute of our stay here, whether returning after a day on the slopes, or just lounging in the cozy chairs or hot tub between activities. The views are amazing -- I spent a lot of time going from window to window and gazing out, in all types of weather conditions and times of day. The house has a very open, spacious feel, with great light. Amenities-wise, we didn't want for anything. We started referring to it as "home" very quickly. We all felt wistful upon departing. Would definitely recommend!

Family Fun

The house was excellent. It was spacious and had all of the right amenities for a ski vacation. The kids enjoyed it. It has a quick shuttle to the village and if you desire, you can walk.
