Everything was clean and nice, but the sheets on our bed did have a good sized rip in them. The vacuum was nice and easily accessible, but a mop would have been handy as well.
We had a great time and it accommodated all of us! Very open and bright! Kids had fun with the convertible table top; pool etc. and we enjoyed the hot tub! Highly recommended! And I would come back again when I revisit Portland!
A fun house for family and friends to gather! The best part is how many it sleeps, and the game room downstairs with 3 in 1 game board ( Pool table, Table tennis, and air hockey) as well as the hot tub! Which in my opinion could have been much warmer it was consistently between 90-95 degrees! Not great for such a cold time of year!
The house itself had a couple maitence issues but overall it was perfect!
My wife and I stayed at this VRBO during Thanksgiving week and hosted our Portland, Oregon based family for Thanksgiving and the OSU at UO football game the following day. The house was GREAT. Comfortable and equipped. Large kitchen for meal preparation, etc. The house is well maintained, close to shopping at Fred's, Trader Joe's, COSTCO, etc. Its adjacent freeway 205 so you will hear some nominal traffic but very muffled.
The hosts are wonderful. Friendly and communicate promptly via text. I highly recommend this property for family gatherings.
I hope my communication with the property management is taken to heart because this was a great place but not cleaned well or put back together. It needs some real attention to details. The furniture is old and had rips, rugs were left outside...there were quite a few things I communicated to him but I would stay again if they got a better cleaning crew. That is essential!

The place itself is clean and nice, but does not have enough cutlery for the large group they accommodate. The pillows were horrible, they did not have any kind of coffee for the 2 different coffee pots they had.
Not adequately stored with extra towels and linens for the 4 night stay we had been for.

Portland House
I would've given this stay a 4 but sadly it didn't have some of amenities that I wanted. It said in the description that it had air conditioning. It does but it doesn't work at all. I had to go buy 3 big fans (which I had to leave). It was hot during the day and night. I only cooked breakfast since by 12 you couldn't stay in the house as it was way too hot. Also there's no fire pit but says there is. The house itself is very nice and big for a family. Just sad about the air. If you went in the fall/ winter it would be great. There's also not enough towels for a big group we had to wash them everyday.

Attention to details?
The shower was dirty. There was soap pieces from a bar of soap on the bottom of shower and conditioner all over the door of it. In the listing it says that there is an iron and ironing board. Perfect. Itrs a wedding and I had 25 tablecloths to iron. I did not have room for mine so I did not bring it. There is no iron and ironing board. Wash machine and both dryers were full of linens. We had to fold them and make the beds whose linens were in the machines. Downstairs bathroom: hair dryer and etc in the top drawer of vanity. It was almost like someone was living there. The drawers and all bottoms of the vanity are very stained and ugly. Maybe some shelf liner paper? I have a very small dog. I took him out in the back yard one time and he got stickers everywhere. I had to pick them out as the grass was mowed and the left. In order for him to have a space I went to the neighbors and borrowed a rake. Then, a few days later, the lawn was mowed again! Trimmings left. NOT very pet friendly. And the new furniture was definitely not new as one couch was scratched up by a cat maybe? Might look at your amenities list and amend it as there was no shampoo, not very many basic utensils, no pantry items, no outside furniture by hot tub, and again no iron and ironing board and the yard is barely fenced. Lastly is when they added the stairs they did not make it level between the top of the staircase and the hall upstairs. EVERY time you go downstairs you almost trip!

Hello, it is very unfortunate that you had such an experience. Our family does everything that we can to accommodate our guests. This is why we even allowed you an early check in, even though we didn't have to do that. We really wish you would have reached out to us as soon as you have discovered any of the items you listed. We would have immediately addressed any concerns that you have had and do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We have cleaners that clean the home after every guest, as well as a crew that maintains the yard. If you have not found an ironing board, or iron, we have one that is kept in the closet. We do apologize that you had such an experience, we want our guests to have a 5 star experience, and do everything that we can to reach that goal.
