Amazing lake front house, spacious for our whole extended family. Kitchen well stocked with anything you may need to serve/eat dinner with a large family. Sitting by the water or enjoying the deck/outdoor eating area was the perfect family time. Check in and check out super easy. Owners were very friendly. Would stay here again!

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Our hosts were generous and helpful whenever we needed help. The home was large enough for our family and we always felt comfortable. The older kids loved the pool room and spent many hours fishing, swimming and paddle boarding. The younger ones played in the sandbox and on the swing set. Thanks to our hosts for a very memorable vacation.

Beautiful property

Fantastic vacation place! House was very big. We had 9 adults and 9 children, plenty of space and sleeping spot for everyone. Water area was fantastic with a floating dock, pier, sand area and plenty of space for fishing and swimming. Huge deck at the house, all kinds of water toys, yard toys and game room. Stores near by and short travel to Alex bay. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to contact.

Amazing House and hosts!

This great historic house was perfect for our family! We loved the house, especially the deck! The water front with paddle boards and fire pit circle were a huge hit! The kitchen was great, perfect for our family meals! Thank you so much to our hosts who were great with communication, answering questions promptly! Hoping to return again some day!

Our family of 13 stayed a week at this unique old stone mansion on Lake Ontario. The weather was warm, so folks took advantage of the swimming, paddleboarding and sailing equipment provided. When not enjoying the beach, we loved sitting on the new deck with a view of the lake. The property has many of the problems you might expect of an historic home that still needs some upgrades: The downstairs game area was great but slightly damp, the kitchen had beautiful new appliances but was crowded and warm when trying to cook for the large group. There were window air conditioners in MOST bedrooms. Be sure to check the listing for the bed arrangement--some rooms have 3 or 4 beds, and none have ensuite baths so the 3 1/2 baths must be shared. Andy, the owner, was extremely helpful and always came immediately when we had a problem. So all-in-all our family really enjoyed helping celebrate our 60th anniversary all together at the beautiful lakeside mansion!

family get together

great time and house well equipped, we never even went out for dinner...so much fun to cook in and eat on the outside patio. Should note that two of the bedrooms do not have a/c but other than a couple of nights, was not a problem.

Great times on Chaumont Bay

We greatly enjoyed our long weekend stay at Greystone, a 200 year old stately home on the shores of Chaumont Bay. Ten adults gathered for a family reunion, and there was plenty of room and activities for everyone. One evening we ate paella on the water's edge and the other two nights we enjoyed bbq on the large outdoor patio. Everyone in the group hopes to return. Thank you Heather and Andy!

Spacious house on the lake

In general we were very happy with our stay. The kitchen appliances were all newer. There was plenty of room for 18 of us, with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, a fantastic game room in the basement with an arcade game pool table and room for other activities. The dining area wasn’t very large, but there was plenty of room for outdoor eating, weather permitting, with multiple tables and seating. There was also a great sized grill and canopy to provide shelter from sun and rain. There were a variety of bikes, a cute 4 person “car/bike” and a two person bike. There were also various lake toys and covered seating on the lake. There was plenty of yard space for playing and relaxing, as well as sand box and hammock. The host was very accessible and responsive. The beds could be more comfortable. We ended up putting a foam topper on ours which helped a lot.

Stone Mansion Family Gathering

Andy and Heather were great, available and very accommodating. The patio is large with lots of table and chairs. The waterfront is beautiful with plenty of seating, the water is very clear and there are beautiful sunsets. If you love old houses, like us, you will love this place!

Extended family get away

Had a family get away at this location for 4 days, 3 nights. Ages from 9 months to 62 years. We all had a blast! Learned how to paddle board and played on the water trampoline. Played pool and the arcade games. The home and amenities were plentiful and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for 18 guests. Great road for taking a bike ride or walk. We really enjoyed this location and even watched mink, wild turkey, deer and rabbits from the back patio. Family already talking about going back! Highly recommend!

perfect lake view

Our family of sixteen enjoyed this lovely, older lakeside home. The large outside patio was a great place for gathering and eating. The covered deck area at the lake had numerous deck chairs and a fire pit. Many hours were spent using the water toys and equipment that was provided, especially the water trampoline and numerous paddle boards. This home is perfect for those who enjoy outdoor water activities. Our hosts, Andy & Heather, were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay. We highly recommend this rental on Lake Ontario.

Fantastic Stay

Andy and Heather are fantastic hosts and did everything they could to make sure we had the best stay possible! Andy was great at communicating with us and was very helpful and responsive for our entire stay. The house is beautiful and had plenty of space for our group of 18 adults. The dock at the water was a great spot to be during the day and the fire pit was great for hanging out at night. One of the best places to stay in such a beautiful area!
