Welcome to Palm Springs’ "newest" historic property. This 3-bedroom home is the final vision of famed modernist architect Donald A. Wexler, whose all-steel & glass designs helped define the Palm Springs aesthetic in the 20th century. Completed in 2015, The Last Wexler is available for rent for the first time.

BED & BATH

Wake in one of three indulgent bedrooms, each with their own bath. The primary bedroom suite is exceptional, with its King bed, 55" TV and flickering fireplace. Sliding, floor-to-ceiling glass opens to a xeriscaped outdoor area that winds around to the pool . A stunning view of the San Jacintos at sunrise will greet you in the morning from your plush, Old Hollywood bed. (Or pull the curtains shut and sleep in.) The en-suite bath for the primary bedroom features a walk-in shower and dual sinks.

The second bedroom features a Queen bed, 55" TV and an en-suite bath; choose between a soak in the bathtub or a shower in the walk-in shower.

A third bedroom sleeps two more guests in two twin beds. Guests in this room use the third full bath just across the hall, which has a walk-in shower.

KITCHEN & DINING

A fully equipped kitchen includes sleek Thermador appliances, including a gas cooktop, a roomy fridge, and a dishwasher. Glossy countertops provide plenty of prep space and a home for the retro-inspired Smeg coffee maker and other Smeg small kitchen appliances. Large windows look out to the yard and its native desert landscaping juxtaposed against deep green astro-turf.

Dine indoors or al fresco by the pool at a modern table with seating for ten.

LIVING AREAS

Wexler’s hand in the home design shows in the seamless merger between indoors and out. Walls of glass and open living spaces create an airy, effortless flow for your late-afternoon cocktail hours and after-dinner lounging. Original art pieces throughout showcase the owners’ taste.

In the media room, just off the main bedroom, a 75” Smart TV and deep leather furnishings let you sink in for a movie. A more formal living area looks out toward the pool, which is beautiful when illuminated at night and set against a backdrop of moonlit mountains.

The saline pool depth is 4' at one end and sloping to 8' in the center. The saline spa with therapy jets is designed within in a 20' shallow square that gracefully flows into the adjoining pool. The pool and spa heating are available at an extra daily charge.
