A few disappointments
There were some disappointments with regard to the owner and the management company. With regard to the owner, there is a security camera located on the patio (facing the golf course), so, it was hard to enjoy that area knowing that someone was watching over your shoulder. I appreciate the security concern on the part of the owner, but it would appear that a camera placed on the second story (rather than the first level patio area) could have met their security concern. In addition, while there have been some upgrades to the unit (new carpet and flooring), some of the furnishings are showing their age. Hopefully, those upgrades will be next. The blinds in the first floor master bedroom was another concern. They let in an extraordinary amount of light which was especially bothersome at night. The box springs and the mattress in that same room are not of the same size, which was surprising, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a closet, but it is locked, so anyone staying there will not have a closet. With regard to the management company, when arriving, we had to sweep up debris from what appeared to be work on a ceiling mounted smoke detector. Bathroom exhaust fans were in need of cleaning from a multitude of dust. We had several ceiling fans that didn’t work and it took several phone calls before service personnel arrived to get them functioning. I would have thought housekeeping would have verified those sorts of features were working.
