Great location, peaceful lake, fire pits were perfect for smores and late night hangs, kids loved kayaking and the cabin has just the right amount of amenities to be comfortable while still escaping to the woods! The bunk house bedrooms were fun with the extended family. Very summer camp vibe (w/ good mattresses) and perfect for our fam!

Exactly what we were looking for and beautiful view of the sunset/sunrise
It was really good. Enjoyed our stay. The description said it was 2 bedrooms but I would call it a one bedroom with additional sleeping loft and I didn’t see any kayaks the description said 2 kayaks were available.
Spacious, simple, and clean. Shower could use some work. We enjoyed the serenity of the location and ease of traveling to the Falls, Whitefish Point, and a couple other spots. Took in some of the hiking trails. Had some great dinners at the Buckhorn. Hosts were great!
We had such a great stay! The description is exactly like stated, it was clean and the yard was perfect for all the time we spent outside in the beautiful weather. Thanks for a great place to stay and we hope to come back again next year!
This property is exactly as described and pictured. The home was very clean, all essentials provided, comfortable beds. The lake is so peaceful! Beautiful property.
The cabin was stocked with anything you might need, aside from your food and toiletries. The hosts were quick to respond when we had a small issue and they resolved it quickly. We saw ducks, geese, deer and chipmunks during our 4 day stay. We had a relaxing stay and would stay again.

It was very beautiful on the lake & well kept. Small store down the street was convenient. The owners were very nice & answered all the quick had on a timely manner
When I arrived everything was clean and smelled free. The accommodations were just like they were described and this was a cabin that I truly enjoyed. It had a nice spot on the lake where I could fish and kayak and it was nearby Tahquamenon Falls and the Soo Locks. I would highly recommend this as a place to have a relaxing and enjoyable home base plus the option of going to nearby attractions in the upper peninsula.
A great home base while visiting family in the area. Serene and peaceful. Nearby to lots of area activities. Exactly as advertised - simple accommodations. The hosts are lovely and very responsive.
We did bring in our own bottled water for cooking and drinking -- the cabin water is quite hard, which is completely safe and normal for the area, just our personal preference.
Beds were comfortable, along with plenty of towels. The kitchen supplied the basics.
A good, solid and economical option for a visit to the area.

Quiet
Very rustic, there isnt many lights in the living room/kitchen. The shower wasnt very clean and we found sand in the beds. The lake is ok, it has a lot of mussels, is very mucky/ soft and is very shallow for a long way. You definitely need water shoes. We did enjoy ourselves though.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Cabin was clean and had most everything in the description. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, and we watched a couple of movies in the vcr. We had a fire outside every night and had fun in the kayaks. The only things we found negative were lack of hate for the stairs and no life jackets. Thankfully the lack is shallow for a ways. If you are looking for a five star hotel this is not your place. If you are looking for a quiet place on a lake to enjoy time outside then I highly recommend it!
The cabin is exactly as described on VRBO. We had a little difficulty with the lockbox (probably because both my husband and I have arthritis in our hands). The lake is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit enjoying the lake. Great location as we visited the shipwreck museum and Mackinac Island. We also spent a day just enjoying the cabin, the lake, and watching movies. We thought we would miss internet but really enjoyed not having it. We wished that there was a bathroom on the main level as going up and down the stairs was trying for two people in their 70s. Other than that we loved our time there.

Terrible experience
Don't reserve this property unless you want a VERY rustic experience. We walked in, looked around, and walked back out. Found another place to stay for the two nights we were supposed to stay here. The pictures of the interior were very misleading. The first thing you see is a huge preserved wasp's nest hanging from the ceiling by a branch. Frightening! Supposed to be decorative? The walls are unfinished chip board (the manufacturer's stamps are visible) and an unfinished concrete floor. The upstairs railing didn't even look safe. Are there no inspectors in this area???
