Welcome to our Spacious Penthouse A.K.A. Maison de la Royal. Located in the Faubourg Marigny is a 200 year old community, APA voted one of the best neighborhoods in 2009. This hidden gem, dates back to mid 1800’s located on the Historic Royal Street only 7 blocks from the French Quarter. The home has been beautifully renovated; it’s a spacious 3,622 sq. ft.

With 4 Bedrooms and 3 Full Baths.

As you make your way upstairs and into the living room which boasts a 61” big screen TV, sofa, loveseat, queen size sofa bed, tiki bar for entertaining. French doors lead you to the serene patio where you can enjoy the sounds of the nearby church bells, and horns from the paddlewheel boats on the river. There is ample room for kicking back and relaxing with seating for 12

The master bedroom has king size bed, marble floor, ceiling fan, 2 walk-in closets with ample drawer space, flat screen TV, fireplace for those chilly crescent city nights, master bath has shower, terrazzo floor, tub, lovely granite counters, wall mural from one of Blaine Kern’s artist from 1961. Fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters, plenty of cooking & serving utensils; table seating for 8.

Full load washer and dryer, including iron & ironing board are in the laundry room. The hallway leading to the three other bedrooms & two bathrooms, are lined with local photography for your viewing pleasure. The second bedroom has a cozy twin size bunk bed, with closet, ceiling fan, and TV. The third bedroom has two double beds, two walk-in closets and flat screen TV. Our fourth bedroom has 4 poster queen size bed, walk-in closet, electric fireplace, flat screen TV with DVD player, and full Bathroom. The back room to the property is furnished with a ping pong table, dart board, 3 comfortable sofas, and 2 chairs... for you to hang out or have a little friendly competition.

Absolutely NO PETS are allowed under any circumstances. Owner is allergic.

Our home is NON-SMOKING, however it is permitted outside on the patio only.

Location, Location! We just love to hear church bells and the paddlewheel horns while sitting on the patio. We enjoy the convenience of walking to French Market, French Quarter, Frenchmen St., shopping, restaurants, coffee shops & bars. You are close enough and yet away from all the hustle & bustle of the F.Q. If you don't feel like walking there is a bus stop right across our street; the bus goes straight to the French Quarter. There's also the nostalgic street cars you can hop onto at Elysian Fields and St. Claude or the one across from the French Market. European style living within an American city.

What makes this condo unique

Perfect Historic New Orleans style living, Safety, Comfort, Spaciousness, Cleanliness, Etc. It is the entire second floor, above a quaint little furniture store.

Thanks for everything! We all had a great time and loved the house. The house made it possible for us all to be together & have fun. We had a group from Atlanta and Chicago staying here. We all loved it!! We came to run the New Orleans Marathon, but was able to do so much more.

Spacious Comfortable Convenient Fun

The property was very clean when we arrived. The owner provided instructions for everything. Free Wifi, tv's worked. Kitchen has large refrigerator, gas stove, double oven, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes. The master bedroom is huge and has its own bath. Very comfortable bed and linens. The other two bedrooms were good sized and comfortable. In the middle of the space is a balcony/deck that is covered with an awning. We visited in November, with temps in the 60's, but I imagine the awning would make the deck really enjoyable on a hot summer evening. There is a large party room in the back with a ping-pong table, which made for some fun activities. There is a general store with groceries just down the street, at the corner, that is open 24-7...this was convenient for us to buy food to cook ourselves in the apartment. At the opposite end, next to the train tracks, we found a modern cafe with delicious tea. We found the city very walkable and we felt safe every step of the way. The French Quarter is an easy walk about 7 blocks. We rented bicycles from Alex's bikes (5 block walk) for $5/hour and found that a great way to get around and see the city. The owner checked in with us when we arrived to make sure everything was o.k. All was o.k. so we did not need anything - it was nice to get the call so I knew if anything was wrong it would be attended to. Upon departure, the owner offered to let us keep our luggage past the check-out time since we had a late flight . All in all, a good experience with this owner, with this unit, and with the City of New Orleans.

Couldn't Be Happier!

My college friends and I stayed at the Maison De La Royal Penthouse for Halloween weekend and couldn't have picked a better place. Not only was it spacious, clean, and the perfect size for our group of 8, but it was so close to all of the fun. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance and a few of us even went on a run on the beautiful running path just blocks from the house. Michael was also the best host you could ask for. He was available for any and all questions and was so accommodating. If we are ever back in New Orleans we will definitely be staying at Michael's place again. Thanks so much for helping to make the weekend a memorable one!

Great Place to Stay in New Orleans

We are eight women who were having a mini college reunion in New Orleans, and we chose a great place to stay. The condo was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. There was plenty of room around the dining room table for early morning coffee chats, and lots of comfortable space in the living room for late night wine sipping. The accommodations were just as described and pictured on the website--very nice. The condo is close to the French Quarter, only about a mile away, but far enough to avoid the sound of noisy party goers at night. We used Uber several times a day for inexpensive rides to the center of the French Quarter, and to the slightly farther lovely Garden District. Michael, the owner, was very helpful with suggestions before our stay, and called to offer any assistance that we might need both when we arrived, and as we were about to leave. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay at this lovely guest home.

Great place to stay for a large group. There is tons of room for everyone to hang out including a large living room with bar, outdoor patio and huge game room in the back. Good location with many places within walking distance or a short car ride.

PERFECT home for visiting the French Quarter

We had 8 guys who were visiting for a bachelor party and we couldn't have picked a better location! Plenty of room for us to all spread out yet big enough rooms for us all to be together without feeling cramped. The beds were practical and comfortable. Our favorite room was the ping pong room as it was huge with plenty of couches and definitely the place we hung out the most during our stay there. It is walking distance to the Quarter with plenty of nice cafes on the walk there. Also for those returning late night, ubers are only a 10 dollar ride. Michael and Erika were fantastic hosts! They even allowed us to store our bags under their staircase while we wandered around before our flight later in the day.

Great stay in New Orleans

Would highly recommend this awesome house in New Orleans. Located close to everything, this house very large house with plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. It is well maintained and has a great covered porch. It is an easy walk to the French Quarter and there is also a 24/7 convinence store on the block. The owner is very accommodating, helpful, and nice. Had to switch dates and he was super nice about it!
