Wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach, grab your surfboard and walk down to the best surf spot in the South Bay. Or simply breath in the fresh ocean air and relish the fabulous perfect sunny weather and laid back attitude that Southern California made famous. Great restaurants are within walking distance. The Strand sidewalk runs north and south for 26 miles along the beach. If you live an active lifestyle, you won't need a car!

Our cozy duplex was built in 1932 and has been continuously remodeled over the past decade but we've managed to keep all the charming elements. A few years ago, we hired an interior designer to refurnish everything from the furniture to the silverware. There's a Beautyrest queen mattress in the master bedroom with high end linens. Leather furniture throughout the family room. A fully stocked kitchen with everything you'll need to create a fantastic meal. 2 flat screen HD TV's and Frontier FIOS high speed cable and wireless internet. The bathroom was remodeled with a favorite spa in mind. The walk in shower includes dual rain shower heads, body jets and river rocks to massage your feet. There are hardwood and travertine floors throughout. The second bedroom includes a twin size bed.

My husband and I currently live bi-coastally - we spend most of the year in Florida and head out to our Manhattan Beach bungalow in the summer. The rest of the year, we like to share our beach pad with other families either relocating to the area, on extended vacations or short business contracts. We are excited about sharing our home with you!

Why Jeanette Ferrera chose Sand Section

Ever since I moved to the South Bay in 1999, I fell in love with it. The locals are fantastic. The lifestyle is perfect. After working all week, I would park my car on Friday and it wouldn't move all weekend. I have great memories of rollerblading on the Strand with my 2 dogs. We would meet up with friends and eat/drink at the local restaurants in downtown Manhattan Beach. The weather couldn't be any better and the beaches are beautiful.

Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Close to the beach and The Strand. Property was very clean and beautifully decorated. Two big screen TVs, color printer, high end pots and pans and bed linens!!!Tons of shopping and dining within walking distance. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family. I would definitely stay here again!!!

January at the strand

The apartment is comfortable and user friendly. Filtered water, Nespresso machine, towels galore, the list of reasons why the week was exceptional is longer than I can write. Jeanette was responsive and speedy in her support while we stayed in the apartment. Walking in and around the area was a highlight for us. We would love to return!

Great place - great location

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with this lovely beach house. All the amenities you could want in a house. Fully stocked kitchen, towels, beautifully appointed. Perfect for a stay in the Manhattan Beach area. Looking forward to staying there on our next trip to the area.

The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped.

The property is located only one block from the beach on the north end of MB called El Porto. Easy access to major malls and shopping areas. Ten minutes drive to the major shops and restaurants of MB. Parking in front is very nice, important as parking is otherwise a pain. The separated beach pedestrian and bike paths make for enjoyable use for everyone.

It’s a typical beach house with some very amateurish carpentry, uneven steps, cabinets that don’t open all the way, etc, but well equipped with a small kitchen eating area, comfy living room with TV and desk. The main queen bedroom with a comfortable bed is small but plenty of storage space and a 2nd flat screen TV. Bathroom is again small but has nice shower with various outlets. The 2nd bedroom is downstairs with a single bed, good for storage.

I had only two drawbacks. The owners live in Florida so any difficulty has to be resolved over email, phone or text. Response time was quite good but laborious. For example, we had trouble getting the tv to play which an on-site owner could have probably resolved in minutes. And the cable company offerings didn’t include a single sports channel, something the owner didn’t know. The other drawback (which is clearly stated on the website) is the lack of anywhere to sit outside

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would easily recommend.

"Lovely Beach Getaway"

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks while we visited family in the area. The apartment is super clean and steps from the beach. As soon as we walked in, we felt instantly at home. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful despite the homes being located close together (as in all beach communities). We enjoyed seeing the locals gather at the end of day on the Strand, to watch the sunset together. You could tell there was a cohesiveness to the community, which added a nice sense of security and peace to our visit.

The owner was a dream to work with and was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped (including a BBQ on the deck). It was also a plus to have 2 parking spots. We would absolutely recommend this property and look forward to returning soon!
